Dr. Jonathan Eric Rao is passionate and committed about evidence based Esthetic Dentistry. He completed his undergraduate studies in the Bachelor of Dental Surgery (B.D.S.) from the Coorg Institue Of Dental Sciences, Virajpet, Coorg. under the Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Science where he also had the privilege of completing a Fellowship In Oral Implantology in association with Nobel Biocare, a world leader in Dental Implants under some of the finest dentists in the country. Armed with this knowledge, he began practicing as a general dentist and Oral Implantologist in Ruby Nelson Memorial Hospital, Jalandhar, Punjab.

His quest for excellence and higher knowledge led him to join the Masters program in Restorative Prosthodontics and Esthetic Dentistry from the University Internacional de Catalunya, Barcelona, Spain. During his stay there, he took part in a diploma program in Esthetic dentistry under the guidance of some of the world’s finest clinicians with the likes of Dr. Lorenzo Vanini , Dr. Francesca Vailati  and Dr. Walter Devoto in Adhesive dentistry, Dr. Galip Gurell and Dr. Sidney Kina in Minimal Invasive ceramic dentistry, Dr. Stefano Gracis iand Dr. Tidu Mankoo in Implant Prosthodontics and Dr. Markus Hurzeller in Periodontal Microsurgery techniques.

He also was chosen to present a poster at the prestigious International Symposium of Periodontics and Restorative Dentistry. He also did an externship in the Department of Periodontics and Prosthodontics  at the  University of Tufts, Boston.

He is a life member of the Indian Dental Association and Indian Society of Oral Implantologists, He is also a member of SEPES (Spanish Society of Prosthodontics, European Society of Cosmetic Dentistry, American Association of Cosmetic Dentistry, International College of Oral Implantology and the European Association of Osseointegration

He currently works as a consultant Restorative Prosthodontist  in Bangalore, India. He is also currently an adjunct faculty of UIC, Barcelona. He enjoys teaching and is involved in Continuing Dental education in various parts of India.

Dr. Jonathan loves photography, and is known to be very creative in the kitchen. He enjoys football and various genres of music. He is very passionate about God and has a deep sense of admiration and respect for the works of the creator that he sees all around Him in everything. His sense of purpose has made giving back to society and God, his modus operandi.
