Dear lybrate-user Mcl injury is very common after sports trauma You need not to worry it will get healed (usually takes 10-12 weeks for significant pain relief and healing) The only thing you needs to take care is dedicated and desciplined physiotherapy as adviced Take care.

Hello Jack, Stress, tension, anxiety, thyroid problems, hormonal imbalances etc are the most common reasons for insomnia. If you are having back and neck problems while sleeping, even that can cause discomfort leading to inability to sleep. You can try changing your mattress or pillow. Try using a hard mattress as it is helpful if you have spondylosis of any sort. Besides, you can take Tablet Atarax 10 mg, one tablet at bed time. This is a very mild sedative and will help you sleep better.

If the pain is severe do get an mri done immediately. Do not bend forward or lift any weight. Over-the-counter medicines for instant pain relief may be taken.

I am 58 year old man, I am suffering from back pain. Under knee (leggs) are swelling without pain.

MBBS, MS - Orthopaedics

Rule out high blood pressure or any other kidney problem this could be due to lumbar spondylosis with nerve root compression. Rule out diabetes & vit. D deficiency or any other metabolic disorder. Sleep on a hard bed with soft bedding on it. Use no pillow under the head. Any way take paracetamol 250mg od & sos you will need other supportive medicines also. Do back (spine) exercises contact me again if need be. Make sure you are not allergic to any of the medicines you are going to take you may have to use lumbosacral support for some time. Avoid painful act/activities. Take medicines as prescribed it may have to be further investigated.

Hello dear understand your concern. You should do colour doppler usg. So you can know which vein is affected. You hv to wear stockings in your legs ehich can made by some specialized company according to your legs measurements. Avoid standing long time. Keep your legs up during nt (place some pillows under your legs.) keep some exercises & walking. Whenever you feel more pain take foot massage from toe to thigh directions so your blood flow become correct & your inflammation reduced & pain subside. Take tab. Dan-p if you feel more pain. I hope this helps u.
