Here are some key points about pimples. More detail and supporting information is in the main article? pimples are developed by the majority of teenagers and a significant number of adults? pimples can cause anxiety and embarrassment, particularly when situated on the face? prompt treatment of pimples often helps with overcoming their emotional and psychological effects? people with regular breakouts of pimples are more likely to experience depression? the risk of developing pimples is increased by a diet high in dairy products and high glycemic index foods? to reduce the risk of pimples, it is recommended that people wash their faces about twice each day - not more often? popping (bursting) pimples can make the skin infection worse? over-the-counter (otc) pimple treatments often contain active ingredients such as benzoyl peroxide, salicylic acid and sulfur prescription medication for pimples includes topical treatment, antibiotics and laser and light therapy? breakouts of pimples can be made worse by the stress and anxiety, makeup and greasy hair. Washing your face wash your face about twice each day - not more often. Make sure you have a mild soap. Use warm water. Wash gently; do not scrub the skin. Experts advise the use of an otc lotion which contains benzoyl peroxide. Do not pop (burst) the pimple there is a risk you may push the infection further down, causing more serious blockage and worse swelling and redness. Popping pimples also increases the risk of scarring. If you need to get rid of it if you have an important event, such as a public-speaking engagement or wedding and it is important to get rid of a sightly pimple, get a specialist to treat it for you. Touching your face even though this may require some willpower, try to refrain from touching your face with your hands. If you are using a telephone, do not let receiver touch the skin of your face - it may have skin residue or sebum on it. Before touching your face make sure you always wash your hands with soap. Hand hygiene keep your hands and nails as clean as you can by washing them regularly with soap. Keep your nails short. For treatment consult privately.

First of all reduce your weight. Also get your hormones checked for any imbalance. By taking treatment to regularise hormones and reducing your weight there are very good chances of reduction in hairs. If then also they don't go you'll have to get laser hair reduction done.

Do let me know your current medications to treat acne? Acne is a common problem in teen. Almost everybody will get pimples during their teen years. First, Don't try to self treat acne. Some popular nonprescription acne lotions, cleansers and other skin products can cause a serious reaction(rare), mostly it is normal to have acne in teenage. For pimples it's important to wash your face twice daily to remove impurities, dead skin cells, and extra oil from your skin's surface, Avoid touching your face or propping your cheek or chin on your hands. Not only can you spread bacteria, you can also irritate the already inflamed facial skin. Never pick or pop pimples with your fingers, as it can lead to infection and scarring. A dietary therapy with the right medications for pimples can also help a lot. Kojic acid (a natural skin lightener derived from mushroom extract), arbutin (also called bearberry extract), and vitamin C (ascorbic acid) are great alternative ingredients to lighten scars left by acne. Don't use vitamin E on scars. You may have heard that applying vitamin E to a scar will help it heal faster. But according to a study , applying the nutrient directly onto a scar can actually hinder its healing. In the study, vitamin E either had no effect or made matters worse for 90% of the patients, and 33% who put vitamin E on the skin developed a contact dermatitis. Increasing the intake of omega-3 fatty acids through a diet significantly rich in fish and seafood results in lower rates of an inflammatory disease like acne. A low-glycemic-index diet also reduces acne risk. I being a both a registered dietitian (RD) and doctor have been successfully helping patients with their problems through a holistic approach using customized therapeutic diet and medications . I will also suggest home remedies. Do reply back for private consultation for Rx.

Hi lybrate-user. There are plenty of reasons foe hairfall. It includes dandruff, pollution, lack of nutrition, tensions, improper food habits, lack of vitamins and a very interesting thing. If you have kapha I mean if you r suffering with cold and associated symptoms frequently it will also be a reason for your hairfall. So as the first step we have to rule out the reasons.in your question itz clear that you are having dandruff. I want to know the status of other possibilities too. But for the time being am suggesting Dhurdhurapatradi oil to massage in your scalp and let it reat for 10_15 min and wash. Massage well. Try it and update me Regards Dr. Safa Sanu.

I have developed dark circles under my eyes and its turning darker day by day. What should I do now?

BHMS
Homeopath, Faridabad
I have developed dark circles under my eyes and its turning darker day by day. What should I do now?
Hi. Dark circles can be temporary (means happens after any recent or chronic diseases or underlying medical condition, allergies, sinus infections and nasal congestions, lower eyelid laxity, fluid retention, hormonal imbalances, hyperpigmentation, aging, sun-exposure, insufficient sleep, worm-infestation, nutritional deificiency, working long hrs. on computer, lack of rest, stress/ tension, etc.) which can be improved by fixing the underlying cause or the problem or can be inherited from your parent's genes which can't be treated or cured! Management: Eat healthy and on time. Avoid junk. Drink plenty of water (as dehydration can cause dull or patchy skin). Sleep well. Wear anti-glare spectacles while working on computer. The area under your eyes has very sensitive skin, so never use chemical bleach. Reduce your stress/ tension through yoga, meditation or any other exercises (it not only improves your blood circulation, but also reduces the production of stress hormones by the body as well as increases happy hormones in the body). Use sunglasses regularly when you are in the sun and not to forget to apply a thick layer of Bakson's Suncare Sunscreen liberally, 20-30 minutes before stepping out in the sun and apply the same again after 3-4 hours if you have exposure to sunlight for long hours. Medication: Take homoeopathic medicines - Cina 1M/ one dose daily at night for 10 days. Schwabe's Alfalafa Tonic/ 1 tsp thrice a day daily for 20 days and revert me back about the condition. Apply Bakson's Under Eye Cream twice daily (in morning and at night) and Medicynth's Whitch Hazel cream - in morning and at night daily.

So please suggest me .
What can I do.
1. Lemon Juice A quick and easy solution can be found in your kitchen or your nearest grocery store – lemon juice. Lemons have vitamin C that can lighten dark spots on your face. It’s easy to apply. Put some fresh lemon juice on a cotton ball and rub it directly on the affected skin area. Allow it to dry and then wash it off with plain water. Continue applying this dark spot removal home remedy for at least two weeks to get the desired result. If you have delicate or sensitive skin, you can dilute the lemon juice with plain water, rosewater, or honey. You can also use lime juice to get rid of black spots, applying it in the same manner as described above. 2. Buttermilk Buttermilk is also beneficial in getting rid of dark spots. Like lemon juice, it also helps fade blemishes and black spots but without causing burning sensation. Black Spots Home Remedy Take four teaspoons of buttermilk. Add two teaspoons of fresh tomato juice. Mix the two ingredients (both have excellent bleaching properties) and then apply. Wash it off after 15 minutes. The lactic acid in milk too, will gradually reduce skin pigmentation, and brighten and tone your overall skin complexion. So, if you do not have buttermilk, simply apply soak a cotton ball in milk and dab it directly on your spots. Leave it on for about 10 minutes and then wash it off Put milk on a cotton ball and dab it directly on your spots. Repeat this procedure twice daily for four to five weeks. You can also prepare a solution by mixing milk and honey and apply the solution to your dark spots, leaving it on for 10 minutes. 3. Oats Oatmeal powder is considered good for skin exfoliation. Hence, you can apply an oatmeal mask on your face and neck to remove dead skin and black spots. Grind half a cup of rolled oats. Add three to four tablespoons of lemon juice to make a paste. Scrub it on your skin and wash it off with warm water when it dries. If it becomes messy, use a clean cloth soaked in warm water to remove the mask. Follow this treatment once or twice a week. 4. Almonds Take 8-10 almonds and soak them in milk overnight. Peel off the skin and grind the almonds in the morning. Now, add one teaspoon sandalwood powder and half a teaspoon honey in it. Mix them to make a fine paste. Apply it on your face. Leave it on for about 30 minutes and then wash it off. 5. Sandalwood Sandalwood is another effective option. Sandalwood for black spots Make a thick paste of 1 tablespoon of sandalwood powder, 1 tablespoon of glycerin and 3 tablespoons of rose water. (If you don’t have rose water, you can use milk or honey.) Apply the thick paste to the affected skin area, leaving it on for a few minutes. Wash off the paste with lukewarm water. Follow this remedy once daily until your black spots vanish completely. 6. Potato potato for black spots Your vegetable drawer is another source of home remedies for black spots or dark patches. Potatoes can be applied in one of the two ways: Slice up a potato and place one slice directly on the black spots; leave on for a few minutes and then wash your face with lukewarm water. You can also make a face mask by combining grated potato with honey. Some people have also had success using tomatoes to get rid of dark black spots within a few weeks. Black spots or dark patches can be easily lightened or eliminated to restore a glowing facial complexion. Dark spots, patches and other marks on the face may be due to excess secretion of melanin on the skin. Some factors that can lead to this condition include over exposure to the sun, hormone imbalance, pregnancy, certain medications, vitamin deficiencies, lack of sleep and too much stress.

My hair is falling apart from 2-3 months and something white in roots of hair. What should I do?
Thank you for writing to us. Please note the following for your condition: the head should be massaged slowly with oil or shampoo while bathing or cleaning hairs resulting blood circulation becomes fast and the skin of the head is protected from dryness. Shampoo should be used only two times a week. Hairs should be washed with curd for removing dandruff. Spicy or fried foodstuffs should not be eaten. Excessive cream or jell should not be applied on hairs. For further queries get back to me.

There is no permanent solution for this. The medicine can give you relief but this can repeat. Pressure urticaria is chronic. Usually antihistamines likes teczine are given for urticaria. For pressure urticaria, some people get relief with corticosteroids but some do not. You need a doctor who can keep a track of your condition and provide you proper medication. You need to see a good dermatologist.

Dear, You said losing blackness of hair (white or red)? Shampoos and oils do not make much change because, they hardly penetrate layers of skin, where roots (live part of hair) are present. “PROTIEN RICH DIET” Veg: Dhal, soya beans, mushrooms, sprouts etc…. Non Veg: Egg whites, Fish, Chicken (non fried items) Dry fruits – (Almonds 5-6 (badam), Dates (3-4), Walnuts (1-2), Raisins (kishmish)) majority of dry fruits are good for health & hair especially. Fresh Fruits - Green grapes with seeds (please crush seeds along with grapes while consuming) and Skin of Green Apple. Vegetables - Green Leafy Vegetables.
