I am 27 year old female and is having PCOD. And I am over weight also. I feel tired after doing physical work for few hours. Is it due to pcod or due to my increased weight.

Rectal Problems in Women - Doctor Recommended Tips

Rectal problems in women are quite common. It is experienced by many women in some form or the other such as rectal itching, pain or bleeding. Rectal problems are more common in women than in men. These conditions need to be attended to immediately as severe rectal problems may cause several health problems. There are many ways to deal with rectal problems in women.

Treating rectal itching: Rectal itching is a common rectal problem. These can be treated by

  • Improve hygiene: You should clean the rectum area gently using cotton balls moistened with water. You should apply mild ointments to prevent irritation and soothe the skin.
  • Unscented toilet paper or unscented lotions and creams: You should use white toilet paper that does not have any scent. Scented soaps, creams or lotions should be avoided as it may cause further irritation. You can also apply ointments containing 1% hydrocortisone.
  • Control excessive sweating: Rectal problems may occur due to excess sweating. You should avoid sweating too much by wearing light clothes and using talcum powder for the absorption of moisture.

In case of excessive itching, you should follow the following tips:

  • Do not scratch the area as scratching may lead to further itching. You can take an oral antihistamine during the night to get better sleep.
  • You can take a warm sitz bath after every bowel movement, for at least three days, every day. The anus should be dried properly after the bath.
  • Abstain from foods that stimulate rectal itching like tea, coffee, aerated drinks, alcohol, chocolate, spicy food, tomatoes and excess vitamin C, for a period of two weeks.
  • You must maintain short fingernails to avoid injuries during scratching. To prevent unconscious scratching during sleep, wear cotton gloves.
  • Stress should be managed as increased stress may lead to enhanced rectal itching. When you are anxious, do not scratch the rectal area.

Treating rectal bleeding: Rectal bleeding is another problem, which may be accompanied by other rectal problems. In case of rectal bleeding, avoid taking aspirin or any other non-steroidal, anti-inflammatory drug. These drugs may cause bleeding in the digestive tract. This will increase the blood amount in your stool. Bleeding hemorrhoids can worsen by the intake of these medicines. For soothing pain, opt for an acetaminophen. Constipation and diarrhoea may also lead to rectal bleeding. However, it is advised to consult a doctor before consuming any medicine.

Prevention
For prevention of rectal problems, you must have a good sense of hygiene. Keep the rectum region clean and avoid sitting in the toilet for a long time. You should have a fiber-rich diet including fresh fruits and vegetables. Avoid food items, which may cause rectal problems. General rectal problems are not very serious and can be treated using simple measures. Maintaining proper rectal hygiene is very important to avoid rectal problems. It is highly recommended to visit a doctor if the problem persists.

Please see a surgeon. You need an Ultrasound of the breasts. You probably have Fibroadenosis only-your history is typlical. Please apply Xylocaine Jelly 2 percent on the breast when you have pain. Nothing else to be done.

Dietary Fats - Essential for Health

Dietary Fats - Essential for Health

Not all fats are bad for you. Dietary fat is the important key to have good health. All you need to do is eat the right amount.

How Fat Functions:
Fat is a macronutrient that provides calories and energy to the body. Primary function is that it's an energy reserve stored in adipose tissues. If you work out, your body first uses carbohydrates and then fat.
Good Dietary fat can be obtained from butter, ghee and oils. Other sources are unprocessed nuts and seeds, for example, almonds, pistachios and walnuts. Other amazing natural sources of fat are olives, avocados and coconuts.

Essence of Dietary Fat:

  • Fats are an excellent source of energy.
  • Fats containing coconut oil help in weight loss. Good fats can increase the process of fat burning and reduce unhealthy cravings, preventing unhealthy fat storage.
  • If you are underweight, good fats are helpful to gain weight.
  • Fats maintain the body temperature.
  • Fats save your excess protein that may be used as fuel.
  • Fat-soluble vitamins (vitamins A, D, E and K) are absorbed in the body with the help of healthy fats.

Remember that Vitamin A is very important for vision:

  • Interestingly, fats are considered as lubricant, preventing dryness and dehydration.
  • Healthy fats protect the body from experiencing inflammation, improving immunity.
  • Cell membranes as well as hormones need healthy fats. Fat is required for the overall metabolism of insulin, regulating healthy blood sugar levels.
  • Caprylic acid in fat acts as antiviral substance, while lauric acid has anti-bacterial effects.
  • If you want to lower your cholesterol level, opt for foods with palmitic and stearic acid.
  • Butyric acid may help in the reduction of risk of cancer.
  • Certain fats such as ghee or castor oil give lubrication to the colon. This supports digestion and the elimination process.
  • Oils have a property to act as a carrier of medicine and also carry herbs effectively to the preferred organ or any tissue.
  • Pregnant women should have fats as these are a brilliant source of food helping in the development of the child's brain.
  • Healthy fats indorse stamina and elasticity. This act interestingly for those who work out or even for those who work for long shifts in their jobs demanding physical work.
  • Good fats boost cognition, memory as well as happiness. These help in the improvement of mental functions and your learning abilities.

Therefore, a balanced amount of fat is equally important for your body as that of other elements. Hence, eat right and stay healthy.

Good and Bad Cholestrol

Good and Bad Cholestrol
What are the “good” and “bad” cholesterols?
Because cholesterol can’t dissolve in the blood, which is made mostly of water, it is
transported by protein packages called lipoproteins. Low-density lipoproteincholesterol
(LDL-C) is “bad” because it carries cholesterol to artery walls and forms deposits,
also known as plaque. This can lead to a condition called atherosclerosis or “hardening” of
the artery walls. With time, plaque builds up and blood flow slows down or stops.
High-density lipoprotein-cholesterol (HDL-C) is “good” because it carries cholesterol from
artery walls back to the liver and can reduce or prevent plaque build up.

I am 22years old female. I am taking unwanted 72 more than 10 time. I want to know it create a problem in my pregnancy?
Unwanted 72 is an emergency contraceptive pill, to be used in emergency only. If you have been engaged in frequent sexual intimacies you may consider another regular contraceptive method, after consulting a gynecologist. Repeated use of unwanted 72 can cause menstrual irregularities.
