Dear you can easily gain weight and get a healthy muscular body by following these best things - 1. To gain weight, your digestion should work properly. If you have any disease of digestive system you should treat disease first. For proper digestion - take 10 gms powder of carom seeds (ajwain, 10 gm powder of cumin (jeera), 10 gm of rock salt. Mix them well and take 1/2 teaspoon (3-5 gm) of mixture daily after meal. Or take 1/2 teaspoon of black pepper (kali mirch), 1/ 2 tea spoon of jeera (cumin), 2-3 slice of ginger. Boil it in one glass of water for 2-3 minutes. Drink 5-10 teaspoons (15-20 ml) in morning and evening for strong digestive system. Or you can take amla powder 1 teaspoon with water for strong digestion. 2. Take a diet rich with proteins and fats. You should take high calorie food that increase your muscle mass and induce growth in bones. I am sending the diet chart. Follow it in your daily life to fastly gain weight * in morning, take a glass of milk added with 2 teaspoons of protein powder with breakfast. * in lunch time, take 1 bowl of curd or 100 gm of cheese, a bowl of vegetable, with chapattis. * in evening, take 1 glass of milk (300 ml) with 2 bananas. * in night, take a bowl of careals (daal, a bowl of salad with chapattis. 3. Hello, Apply Homoeopathic medicine – Thiosinaminum Q few drops mixed in a glycerin solution on scars that are visible (as it is less greasy, so is more easily absorbed into the skin). Also take Causticum 200 orally twice daily for 4 weeks.

My son is 14 years old studying In viii class. He is studying for the sake of doing it but has little interest in it. His counsellor has lessen his burden by reducing his syllabus. Though he has started scoring quiet good but he doesn't make the effort to study himself. Only noting down work from other books & copies is his effort. But he never tries to read newspaper, his academic text books etc. He doesn't feel the importance of academics. We have consulted psychologist & child counsellor. He is very good child. Does all the outdoor activities very enthusiastically. A good player good team organizer, very friendly. Very handsome. But very slow in academics. I am very worried. please advice.

Not every one is good in academics. Your son may have some other qualities. Please try to focus on his strengths. Once you understand this skills and passion then help him to pursue this. If he is a very good child, then first thing is he will be a good human being. That will be a huge achievement. Also he will do well in whatever field he choses. He might become a good Sports person, Good Manager, may be good Actor or may be he would be happy in Travel or Hospitalilty business etc. Finally what matters is, he should be happy for the rest of his life and he should be able to enjoy whatever work/job he takes up. After he passes 10th std exam, get his "Career Counselling" done so that you will be able to help him in choosing his career. Do not worry too much about academics. He is in 7th class now, may be after 2 yrs he will become more matured and serious. Guide him, show him various career options. Please have open communication with him. All the best.

YOu need to check our eyes 10 Study Tips to Improve Your Learning Study Tip 1: Underlining Underlining is one of the simplest and best known study tips. It’s easy to highlight the most significant parts of what you’re reading. One key sentence per paragraph and a few important phrases here and there. You can only retain a certain amount so it’s best to retain the most important information. Study Tip 2: Make your own note and taking notes is one of the most widespread study skills out there. Essentially the aim of note-taking is to summarise lectures or articles in your own words so you can easily remember the ideas. Study Tip 3: Mind mapping A good Mind map can save you many hours of study and further consolidate your knowledge for your exams. Mind Maps are an extremely versatile tools. They can be used for brainstorming, outlining essays or study topics and for general exam preparation, ExamTime offers the ability to create Mind Maps quickly and easily which makes them the ideal tool when it comes to exams. Study Tip 4: Flash cards:- Using these are a particularly effective method of learning when trying to assimilate different facts, dates, formulas or vocabulary. Subjects such as History, Physics, Maths, Chemistry, Geography or any language are made much easier if you incorporate Flashcards in to your study. Study Tip 5: Case Studies Sometimes it can be difficult to grasp the implications of some theories. This is where studying case studies can be a big help. Case studies can help you visualise a theory and place it in a more familiar and realistic context. This is especially useful in business or law subjects. Study Tip 6: Quizzes are an excellent way to review study notes in the weeks and days before an exam. Quizzes can show where your strengths and weaknesses are, so it allows you to focus your efforts more precisely. Moreover, if you share your Study Quiz with your classmates and test each other as much as possible you can discover even more details and areas you may have overlooked. So before any exam, make sure you create and share a bunch of different Quizzes with your Friends. Study Tip 7: Brainstorming This is another study technique that is ideal for studying with friends and/or classmates. Brainstorming is a great way to expand every possible idea out of any topic. Just get a bunch of friends together and shoot the breeze, there are no wrong answers when brainstorming – just talk and capture the ideas, you can review afterward. Study Tip 8: Mnemonic Rules Mnemonics are especially useful when memorising lists and sets. Mnemonics rules basically work by associating certain concepts with other concepts that are more familiar to us. There are many different ways to make mnemonics and these can be individual to the person. Study Tip 9: ORGANISE your study One of the most effective study skills is also one of the most often overlooked; this is organising your study. Creating a TIME TABLE gives you goals and a time in which to achieve them. Having a study timetable as you study is greatly motivational Study Tip 10: Drawing Many people find it easier to recall images rather than text that is why they are better able to memorise concepts if they associate them with pictures or drawings. I have a problem with my pennis. It is very small and upper skin is not moving back. Suggest me.

I have a problem with my pennis. It is very small and upper skin is not moving back. Suggest me.
Phimosis becomes a constant source of embarrassment in intimate settings. The inability to fully expose the glans can make the sufferer conscious of the way their penis looks and can also come in the way of fully enjoying intercourse.  Many people who successfully treat their Phimosis report enjoying sex completely anew, with much richer sensations and best orgasms. The added pleasure also adds to their confidence and their ability to satisfy their partners without being self conscious.  However, the real drawback of suffering from Phimosis isn't just its effect on one's sexual life. New studies have shown that Phimosis sufferers are 10 times more likely to suffer from foreskin infections and it can be a cofactor in causing premature impotence and STD's in men.  A tight foreskin can also come in the way of hygiene. Phimosis skin often traps bacteria and penile secretions in the inner folds of the foreskin. This often leads to foul and unpleasant odours.  Most of the teenagers suffer from tightness of foreskin called Phimosis. If you r not in the habit of washing inside foreskin, you will find clotting of white creamy substance inside foreskin which creates irritation, which leads to infection. Always keep inside of foreskin clean by using a mild soap to avoid unwanted skin irritation and infection. You have to take care of this sensitive part more than your face.  Start using coconut oil and slowly move the skin back and forth to bring the normal flexibility of the skin. This practice may bring your foreskin to normal after some days. Try to stretch your foreskin sideways too. Phimosis, if present since birth, is purely a surgical condition. But if it develops in later age due to any inflammation/infection then there are many homeopathic medicines like Merc. Iod. Sulphur, acid-nit, Jacaranda, Cinnabaris, Hepar-sulph, Can notharis, Thuja etc which can help such cases.

I tried videos of kegel exercise but did not got the videos up to the mark. So will you please help me in it.

BHMS
Homeopath, Sindhudurg
I tried videos of kegel exercise but did not got the videos up to the mark.
So will you please help me in it.
The muscle you are working during kegels is called the PC muscle (pubococcygeus), and it’s the same muscle you use when you control the flow of urine. Think about when you go pee – then someone knocks on the door and you stop the stream of pee – that muscle that you contract to stop the flow of urine is the PC muscle. Try flexing it right now.  This is also the muscle you use to hold in a fart. If you haven’t found it yet, pretend you are holding in a poop – that’s the muscle. When you do these, try not to flex other muscles, like your stomach or thighs. It’s okay if you’re squeezing your butt hole (that’s part of the PC muscle), but don’t squeeze your butt cheeks. Variation A kegel exercise routine will consist of contracting this muscle several times, at different lengths, and resting between reps. Try holding the muscle for 1 second. Try 3 seconds. Try 8 seconds. When you are new to this it is difficult and normal if you can only hold for a second or two. You will get better with time! A workout routine will involve a few sets of these. For example, squeeze for 5 seconds, rest for 5 seconds, and do that 10 times. Now wait a minute and repeat the whole thing again. Some people prefer a static routine of 2 sets of 10 reps at 5 second holds, others come up with varying sets.  Also try doing these in different positions. Try standing up, sitting down, crouched, and in the fetal position. Try legs apart and legs closed. Some positions may be easier for kegeling than others. Tips Remember to breathe – holding your breathe during these will make it more difficultYou may get turned on while doing these. That’s fine, just go with it! You’re only doing 2 things – tensing or relaxing those pee-stopping muscles. It’s best to do on an empty bladder, so if you have to pee, go to the bathroom before. As with any exercise, the more you stick with it, the better you become. Don’t give up if you don’t see results in a day – you’ll see results within a week!

HEALTHY FOOD INTAKE FOR STRENUOUS STUDY DAYS

PGDD, RD, Bachelor of Home Science
Dietitian/Nutritionist, Mumbai
HEALTHY FOOD INTAKE FOR STRENUOUS STUDY DAYS

Exams are here again. As always we tend to neglect our food in the process of concentrating on studies. But we forget that to concentrate on studies we have to concentrate on taking a healthy diet.

Here are a few diet tips that will help you balance your study as well as diet.

1. Eat small and nourishing meals every three hours, instead of just 2-3 heavy meals. The brain needs a constant supply of energy and a heavy meal will divert the blood supply to digest the heavy meal.

2. Your daily diet must include 2-3 fresh, seasonal fruits. Start your day with a boost of fruit energy. Have a banana with a tablespoon of honey as the first meal of the day. Fruits provide you not only with fiber, vitamins and minerals but also simple and complex carbohydrates for short and long duration of energy supply when studying. The fiber will also help to keep the bowel movement clear.

3. A good breakfast is a must for anyone. The breakfast must contain foods with complex carbohydrates like flakes, oats, rawa (semolina), daliya (wheat cracks), poha (rice flakes) or pav with vegetables and a protein source such as eggs, milk, pulse, sprouts or paneer.

4. Nuts and dry fruits like almonds, walnuts, and dates provide nutrients which enhance brain power and concentration and also provide an extended source of energy supply.

5. Include potassium-rich coconut water, citrus fruits/ juices and soups in your diet.

6. Green leafy vegetables, pulses, and nuts will also provide vitamins and minerals to help avoid anemia. (Anemia is a common problem causing difficulty in concentration.)

7. Including milk as a bedtime meal and curd/lassi/buttermilk after lunch or as a mid-meal assures a supply of Vitamin B12 too.

8. Drink plenty of water to keep your body hydrated. Always keep a glass of water beside you to remember to take sips of water every 15 minutes.

9. Basic exercise like stretching, walking or yoga with meditation will help to reduce negative stress and also help you to get good sleep.

10. Avoid junk foods as they will provide you no nutrition.

11. Avoid stimulants like tea, coffee or colas as they may seem to perk you up but the energy does not sustain for long. Too much may even cause bloating or acidity.

12. Avoid aerated drinks as they are full of sugar and may cause a rapid rise in blood sugar levels causing a sudden rise and drop in sugar levels.

13. Chocolates may seem to may you feel good but the sudden rise and fall of sugar it causes in the blood can lead to trembling nervousness and panic.

14. Have your dinner if possible a little earlier than 9-10pm.

15. Keep about 2 hours between dinner and your bedtime.

16. Have a sound sleep for at least 7-8 hours daily.

Remember your body and mind need the fuel to help you perform the best. So, nourish it and take care of it and it will do the same for you.

I have a Squint Eye problem from my birth. Can it be treated? What is the possibility of facing the issue again after...
Hello lybrate-user. Squint of the eye should be treated ideally at an early age within the time period that the eye learns to read and see. This age period is from 2 to 12 years. At your current age (28 years), it would be possible to treat it for cosmetic reasons. Usually, vision would not improve. Also, a thorough eye evaluation would be necessary to check for the type and cause of squint. Also, it is possible that the squint may recur after the treatment. The time of recurrence would not be possible to predict. Regards.
