Dear doc. One of my friend open beer bottle with mouth and given me. I drunk that beer after 3 to 4 sec gap. I am worrying about his saliva might be touched to bottleneck and It might be enter into my mouth. I did not notice any visible blood on the bottleneck. I do not know his HIV status. I'm getting paranoid about this incident. Am I at risk of HIV by this act? Can I have unprotected sex with my wife?

Contact with saliva if you have cuts in your mouth can transmit the disease but fortunately bear has though very little alcohal but the virus is also very unstable so better chances r that you have nothing to worry but if your freind is positive than you can get your test done.

I am having gum disease for more than two months. I took some medicine with candid mouth pain and it stopped But my lower jaw gums got thin. I had osseous surgery for it. But after 20 days from surgery. The disease has started again . My gums are receding and also the swollen gums. What can I do to stop and cure this?

Unless I see I cannot correctly say the treatment for your problem. From your query I understand that your problem needs a gum specialist attention which I can give you if you come here. If you can sent an opg of your jaws I can say what it is. Also you may need him surgery to correct this problem.

I feel pain in my teeth sometime. and i'm brushing my teeth regularly.
So please tell me what is the problem?
Generally speaking, pain is a protective response that ranges from minor sensitivity to severe pain and informs the body that something is wrong. As for tooth pain, it is caused by a reaction of the nerves inside a tooth's pulp chamber with the severity dependent upon the type and degree of the stimulus or because of irritation of the gums surrounding the tooth, thus its vital that proper diagnosis of the cause of the pain be made before any sort of treatment can be sought. Usually a painkiller can ease the pain temporarily.

You did not mention your age! go for extraction of the offending tooth or to some extent it can be reduced by trimming it.

Hi you need to go to a maxillofacial surgeon for thorough investigation for any problem in salivary gland, its duct, or any abnormality there. After that treatment plan can be decided.
