Hi. Smelling something without any source of outside odour is termed as olfactory hallucinations. Connected directly to brain function. I would like to know if you hear some sounds in your ears too. If problem persists or gets associated with other sensory feelings pls. Consult a psychiatrist.

If you have intermittent pain in the tummy then you need to report to your doctor to check that you r in labour or not. Almost always baby is on the mother's right side only, this is normal.

Avoid eating obvious and hidden sugars. Obvious sugars are white/brown sugars with tea milk or coffee. Hidden sugars are in white breat, brown bread, white rice, maida, refined products such as biscuits/cakes/fruit juices/soft drinks and processed foods. Eat multigrain or whole grain foods. No more than 1-2 servings of fruits a day. And it is important to meet a dietician and formulate a proper calorie wise chart based on your recent blood sugar levels.

If a women’s menstrual cycle varies from 26days to 31days cycle, The shortest cycle (26days) minus18days=8th day. The longest cycle (31days) minus 10days=21st day Thus, 8th to 21st day of each cycle counting from first day of menstrual period is considered as fertile period. That is UNSAFE PERIOD. Period other than this fertile period in a menstrual cycle is considered as SAFE PERIOD.

Patience is the key. It took nine months for your tummy muscles to stretch to accommodate a full-term baby. So it makes sense that it can take that long, or longer, to tighten up again. -- The speed and degree of this tightening up depends on a few factors, including:-------- •What shape and size you were before you conceived your baby.-- •How much weight you gained during pregnancy.-- •How active you are.-- •Something you can't do anything about: your genes.-- You may find it easier to shed the weight if: -- •You gained less than 13.6kg and exercised regularly during pregnancy.-- •You breastfeed.-- •This is your first baby.-- NOTE you shouldn't aim to be back to your pre-pregnancy weight until about six months after your baby's birth. -- Breastfeeding may help, especially in the early months after giving birth. If you breastfeed, you'll burn extra calories to make milk – about 500 calories a day. You may lose your pregnancy weight more quickly than mums who bottle-feed their babies. -- Breastfeeding also triggers contractions that help to shrink your womb, making it a workout for your whole body. However, if you eat more than you burn off, you will put on weight, even if you breastfeed.-- It's fine to lose weight while you are breastfeeding. The following general guidelines will help you to achieve and maintain a healthy weight: -- •Make time for breakfast.-- •Eat at least five portions of fruit and vegetables a day.-- •Include a starchy food such as bread, rice, pasta (preferably wholegrain varieties for added fibre) or potatoes in each meal.-- •Go easy on high-fat and high-sugar foods, such as biscuits and cakes. •Watch your portions at mealtimes and the number and type of snacks you eat between meals.-- There's no right answer about how many calories a day you should have. The amount you need to eat depends on your weight and how active you are. -- Exercise can help to tone stomach muscles and burn calories. If you exercised right up until the end of your pregnancy, you can do some light exercise and stretching from the start.-- If you stopped exercising during your pregnancy or are a newcomer to fitness, it is better to start exercising more slowly. -- Fitness aside, all new mums can begin pelvic floor exercises and work on gently toning up lower tummy muscles as soon as they feel ready. This may help you to get back to your pre-pregnancy shape and help to flatten your tummy.-- When you feel up to it, take your baby out for walks in his pushchair. Getting out and about will help to lift your mood and exercise your body gently. You may find there are pushchair workouts with other new mums in your local park.--

My wife have PCOS and she got pregnant in July 2013 and after knowing about pregnancy she got miscarriage. Pregnancy happened one and half years later of our marriage. Till now she didn't get her pregnancy. She got laparoscopic surgery for PCOS in September 2015 and assured us about pregnancy within 3 months but till now she didn't got it. One of gynecologist after going through USG that her egg is not forming. Please suggest how egg must form and she gets pregnant soon. She has thyroid and taking eltroxin 100 everyday in empty stomach. Her thyroid is 2.32.

With PCOD one has the problem of egg maturation, in this there are multiple small follicle which due to lack of hormonal production from body does not grow and rupture, and hence one is not able to conceive. So for that you people require to do IVF, where ovulation induction is done and the mature eggs are taken out and fertilized with husband's sperm, and implanted in uterus. Right not thyroid is fine continue the medicine for that. For PCOD patient it is required for her to exercise daily and follow healthy diet schedule, it will help her in regularizing the cycle and ovulation.

Oil Pulling For Better Teeth!

Oil pulling - It whitens your teeth, improves your breath, helps your skin and even helps increase energy. So why isn’t everyone doing it?
I’ve been oil pulling for about six months now and, being someone who has always been slightly ocd about oral health, I wanted to share this ayurvedic practice because it genuinely works! 

What is it?
Oil pulling is literally the practice of swishing about a tablespoon of oil around your mouth, first thing in a morning (and on an empty stomach in general) for about 15-20 minutes. It originated in india thousands of years ago, but has been increasingly used medically in the us and uk since the 1990s. The idea is that the scummy layer that builds up in your mouth overnight sticks in the oil so you can spit it out. This is different to just brushing your teeth in the morning, where you move the bacteria around your mouth a bit rather than completely removing it.

What are the benefits?
There are many claims worldwide from people who have experienced benefits from oil pulling, including help with skin conditions, arthritis, asthma, headaches, hormone imbalances, infections, liver problems etc. However, the main and direct benefits of oil pulling are:

  1. Whiter teeth
  2. Healthier gums
  3. Less sensitive teeth
  4. Better breath
  5. Strengthens teeth, jaw and gums
  6. Prevents mouth bleeding and diseases

How do I do it?
If this sounds like something you think you’ll benefit from, this is how to get started:

1. Get some oil! 
Traditionally, people oil pull with either sesame oil or coconut oil. I now alternate between the two, but I would recommend doing it with coconut oil as it has added health benefits and tastes nice! 

2. When you wake up in the morning, before you brush your teeth, get one tablespoon of oil and put it in your mouth.
This might sound like an extra thing to do in the morning, but I find that I wake up and am oil pulling while I get showered/dressed. Once you then spit the oil out, you can brush your teeth.
Note: you must swish the oil round your mouth for at least 15 minutes, because otherwise all of the scum won’t get into the oil. You’ll know if you’ve done it right if the oil goes from being clear (when you first put it in your mouth) to being thicker and white.

3. Spit it out into the bin or toilet, not the sink.
When the bacteria is in the oil, it becomes pretty gross (even toxic, some say). So it needs to be spat out where it can be disposed of. Ideally you should spit it into the bin because the oil can clog up the pipes. However, I usually spit it into the toilet, and spray a bit of bathroom cleaner down there before I flush for good measure!

4. Inspect your clean, sparkly teeth and brush your teeth as normal.
It’s as simple as that! I will usually clean my tongue with an ayurvedic tongue scraper after I oil pull, then brush my teeth with a toothpaste without fluoride or sodium laureth sulfate. However, you can just do whatever it is you usually do!
