I have had tinnitus (ringing sound in the ears) for 2 years now. I have tried many doctors since than but absolutely no improvements. Is there a cure for tinnitus in medical science? I have been listening to white noises in silence of the night in order to sleep.

Being an antifungal and anti-inflammatory agent, apple cider vinegar can also be used to treat any underlying infection that may be contributing to tinnitus. Apple cider vinegar also balances the alkaline level in the body. Mix two teaspoons of apple cider vinegar and a little honey in a glass of water. Drink this solution two or three times daily until the ringing sensation in the ears stops. For further queries get back to me.

When to go for a Tonsil Surgery?

MS - ENT, DNB (ENT)
ENT Specialist, Delhi
When to go for a Tonsil Surgery?

Tonsillitis is an affliction that plagues a fair share of people. Located at the back of your throat, tonsils are essentially two small glands, which contain white blood cells to defend your body against infection. However, on account of germ attacks, sometimes the tonsils get infected and this results in the swelling of the tonsil glands, which in turn causes sore throat and aligned maladies.

Tonsillitis may be cured through surgical procedures. However, an isolated case of the inflammation of the tonsils need not warrant a surgery. Tonsillectomy or the surgical method of curing tonsillitis is only recommended for extreme cases of tonsillitis. Only the frequent sufferers of tonsillitis take recourse to tonsillectomy for a durable and effective solution. Surgeries are only done on those who have had at least seven bouts of strep throats within a span of a year.

Tonsillectomies essentially involve surgical removal of the tonsils either using a scalpel or burning the tissues in the tonsils with the use of ultrasound vibrations. Usually performed under anesthesia, it is a fairly painless and a non-hazardous procedure. Tonsillectomies generally last for about an hour. However, the recovery period sometimes entail a few physical discomforts. Sore throat, difficulty in swallowing, pain in the jaws and ears are common symptoms of post tonsillectomy conditions. While there are palliative medicines available in the markets, adequate rest and proper diet speeds up the recovery.

Tonsillectomy generally leaves no side effects and the success rate of this surgery is quite heartening. Tonsillectomy has also known to cure several other associated health problems in the likes of breathing troubles, sleep apnea, bleeding of the tonsil glands or cancerous developments in the tonsil glands. That aside, tonsillectomy is only performed on acute cases of tonsillitis and often regarded as the lender of last resort when medicines stop according any relief to the patient.

General Physician,
Anatomical structures are more diverse in the mouth than in any other region. The human face begins to form during the 4th week of embryonic development. By the 6th week the external face is completed.  Between the 6th and 8th weeks the development of the palate subdivides nasal and oral cavities.  This development continues into the 12th week with completion of the soft palate. 3. DEVELOPMENT OF FACE • Face develops from 3 prominences that surround the stomatodeum 1. One frontonasal process 2. Right and Left maxillary processes (from first pharyngeal arch) • 3- Right& left Mandibular processes (from the first pharyngeal arch). •N. B. Stomodeum is a depression bounded cranially by a bulging produced by the brain and caudally by a bulging produced by the pericardial cavity. * From each side of lower part of frontonasal process two mesodermal processes appear called medial& lateral nasal processes (they will give the nasal cavities in the future. 4. Hello, pits formed post-chicken pox can only be taken care with the help of various skin treatments like lasers, radiofrequency etc. But getting totally rid off this is a bit not possible even undergoing any of these procedures. Home remedies: -neem leaf extract applied to the scar 2-3 times daily will greatly reduce their appearance. -mix 5 drops or so each of neem oil and jojoba oil. Soak a cotton ball with the oil mixture, then dab t gently on the face paying close attention to the areas affected by scars, pimples, and redness. Leave it on for 25 minutes then rinse your skin with water. Repeat this once or twice daily until you get the desired results. ******do consult a dermatologist******
