it's due to degenerative issues happening at the joint level, start with physiotherapy and life style modifications along with regular isometric strengthening exercises would help

Wall calf stretchstand about two feet away from a wall. Place the ball of your right foot against the wall while your heel remains on the ground. Slowly and gently lean into the wall while keeping your knee straight. Hold this for the 10 sec with repetition of 3 times. Leg painif you have leg pain then you have to rule out the casues for having leg pain. First of all check your weight and your haemoglobin levels, as anaemia always leads to the symptoms of being tired and also having leg pain though there are no issues with the knee joint or back pain. If not if the pain radiates down the back of thigh and legs then it might be due to sciatica. Kindly consult the nearby physiotherapist. Hope you recover soon from the leg pain. Pain in the back while walking and standing pain in the right legif you have leg pain please check your body weight and your hemoglobin levels, as anemia always leads to the symptoms of being tired and also having leg pain though there may not be any pathological reasons for back pain. That's the reason you cannot sit or stand and it is exactly around the l5 vertebrae where the sciatic nerve passes by.

Hello Lybrate user according to Ayurveda Vata vikriti is the main factor for pain. Treatment- 1-apply prasarini oil or pranacharya restopain oil on your affected part and give hot water fomentation. 2-take yograj guggul and agni tundi vati after lunch and dinner with warm water. 3-Take maha rasnadi kwath 2-2 tsf twice a day. 4-Take pranacharya vatari capsule and syrup twice a day. Diet- Avoid fermented food. Junk food. Potato rice. Sleep well.

Hi thanks for your query and welcome to lybrate. I am Dr. Akshay from fortis hospital, new delhi. Actually pain at calf/leg region can be due to many reasons, commonly it is muscular in nature but it can also be due to tendons, nerves, blood vessels etc. My advise to you for initial 2-3 weeks will be: - ice packs application intensively with elevation of your limbs at night - take a short course of anti-inflammatory medication as per your body's suitability - stop your physical activity till pain completely subsides - intensive physical therapy, training and proper muscle conditioning once pain has subsided - slow resumption of physical activities with proper pre activity warm up and stretching of muscles and short increments in duration of physical activity each day as per pain tolerance. - we will get some blood tests for you - serum vitamin d and serum potassium levels, esr and crp once you have all these reports then you can contact me as I can advise you for proper supplementation do not hesitate to contact me if you need any further assistance.

I would also like to ask you if it is associated with any radiating leg pain especially if it increases on walking or any other neurological symptoms like numbness, paraesthesias (electrical shock like abnormal sensations) or any weakness in limbs. Please also tell me about any associated symptoms like fever, weight loss etc. What medications you generally take and what has been your treatment history till now for existing problem. Hello. I am suffering from cervical pain from 1 year. X-ray shows loss of cervical lordosis. I recently did MRI which shows as loss of cervical curvature due to muscle spasm and stress on tow levels. Discs are normal in space and shape. Pain is radiating in arms, neck region, shoulder and shoulder blades. headaches and vertigo if I use phone in car. Please suggest.

You need to improve your posture while using phone or work. Start Hot water Fomentation and and visit to the Physiotherapist for improvement of your cervical curve n also start doing strengthening exercises for neck muscles.

I get pain at back side of the neck where it connects with the right shoulder after a session at the laptop. The pain often travels to the middle of the backbone and to the lower back. I apply volini, but it's a temporary relief. Kindly let me know how I can get rid of it permanently.

In this case, put a tennis ball inside the socks and hang it over your shoulder. Ball should be over your upper back or lower neck or wherever it pains and hold the other end of the socks with your right hand. Now lean against tge wall and press your back against tge ball. When you roll all over your back, some points will be oversensitive and tender. Sustain the pressure at those points. Along with that do the stretches for the levator scapulae ,trapezius, rhomboideus. Find these stretches from the internet. Ice compression can also help you reduce the spasm.

It is 'Apaan Vayu' vitiation. Pl avoid cool things. Drink soups, turmeric in hot milk or hot water, If u get Nycanthes leaves, make decoction of it and drink.
