Such kind of sex related problems are mostly psychosomatic. You need to see a well qualified sexologist. Don't try your family doctor or a street side doctor. Only a good sexologist can help you.

Dear lybrate user. Please don’t panic. You must understand ERECTILE DYSFUNCTION. There is nothing called erectile dysfunction while having masturbation. Loosing erection in the initial stages of sex or not having erection at all or having late erection or lack of sexual desire are called erectile dysfunction. Erectile dysfunction can be a sign of a physical or psychological condition. It can cause stress, relationship strain, and low self-confidence. The main symptom is a man's inability to get or keep an erection firm enough for sexual intercourse. Patients suffering from erectile dysfunction should first be evaluated for any underlying physical and psychological conditions. If treatment of the underlying conditions doesn't help, medications and assistive devices, such as pumps, can be prescribed. Yoga, meditation and diet could be prescribed once we know the basic reasons for it. Two natural treatments for ED that have shown promise are red ginseng and pomegranate juice. Ginseng is thought to increase nitric oxide production, leading to improved blood flow. Pomegranate juice is a potent antioxidant and can help too. Watermelon could also help. Psychological reasons usually get cleared with sex therapy. I suggest online sex therapy. Take care.

Diabetes is an acute ailment that can badly affect your heart, eyes, nerves, kidneys and feet. Therefore, it is important to understand how these organs and components are connected and how diabetes affects them. This will help you to follow your treatment procedure more thoroughly and improve your health condition more effectively.

Beginning of Health Ailments from Diabetes-

When diabetes in a person is not properly regulated and maintained, the blood-sugar levels rise up and this syndrome is called 'hyperglycaemia' or high blood sugar. The way sugar particles stick to each other when they are left uncovered for some time, blood vessels within human body also get stuck with sugar in the blood and make it difficult for blood circulation. Over time, this causes a severe damage to blood vessels connected to kidneys, heart, lungs, eyes and nerves.

Diabetes affecting all the major parts of the body-

Having uncontrolled blood sugar for a prolonged period of time can damage the tiny vessels around the eye causing vision troubles and eventual blindness. High levels of blood sugar in the blood vessels that supplies oxygen to the brain, and heart can develop a fat deposit around them leading to stroke and heart attack. Nerves in the human body serve the function of messengers that carry impulses from different body parts to the brain and vice versa. Having high blood sugar levels can damage blood vessels that carry oxygen and blood to all parts of the body. With the passage of time, nerves can get choked, and they may stop sending pain impulses to the brain.

Diabetes or high blood sugar levels can be detrimental for your feet as well. It mostly harms feet in two possible ways- firstly, it can damage the nerves and their functionality which, in turn would stand in the way of feeling pain as well as other problems occurring in your feet.

Secondly, diabetes leads to poor blood circulation, which makes it nearly impossible for sores and infection around the feet to heal. Once the healing process stops, it can even pave the way for amputation.

Lastly, diabetes is equally detrimental for kidneys, which are the filters of the human body. Kidneys are filled with miniature blood vessels, and high blood sugar can lead to clogged vessels, which disturb blood circulation. Once the kidney does not get ample oxygen and blood, lesser amounts of fluids are taken off the body that may subsequently lead to kidney failure.

Therefore, it is time to build awareness and lead a healthier lifestyle to keep diabetes under control, and a good physician will be able to guide you better on this.

Hey Friends, this is Dr. Chandana Ranglani and I am practising dietitian and nutrition educator in Khar Mumbai since 8 years and today I'm going to talk about good bone health. Bones are the pillars of a body because of which we can't stand,move, dance, sit, handle all the daily activities that we do. So it is very important to each, correct and to give the fuel. Your bones need to grow and regenerate. It break, repair and recover just like your other cells in the body and you all know calcium is the most important nutrient for bone formation, bone development and if you want to have your bones to be strong and healthy.

There is certain things gives you a good amount of calcium in your daily diet like cereals Ragi jowar etc. which you can easily have. Wheat roti with ragi which is good amount of calcium, then you have your nuts and seeds which again a very rich in calcium like almonds, walnuts, cashews sunflower seeds, pumpkin seeds. So why don't you put a mix diet and a handful of nuts in a day which can give a good use of calcium. Then you have pulse and sprouts which again add to your calcium intake. So you can add them as you can have them as veggies or any way you like to eat them. Green leafy vegetables have again full of calcium like spinach, kale, lettuce and also other greens which you can either have an alligator soup or Juice them or just make a vegetable out of it. Fish also is a great source of calcium, specially for non vegetarians. The two to three times a week if you want to eat fish, you can usually get a good amount of calcium in your weekly dose. Now that is it. Foods which can affect your calcium absorption or can make your own very weak like caffeine tea coffee have a high modest caffeine in and they can actually leach calcium from your bones. So make sure you don't have a excess of tea or coffee in your day.

Second is annual proteins like excess of chicken, meat etc are acidic for the body. So that neutralize the blood Ph. The body releases, calcium from the bones that makes your bones weak.

Third is soft drinks like a cola and all Aerated drinks. These drink have lot of Phosphate now, except phosphate in blood has to be balanced by calcium which again to body releases from your bones and this makes your bones very weak and the Fourth is alcohol. Alcohol affects your calcium absorption and causes are very big difference in your calcium balance in the body. So make sure you cut down these all foods in your diet, so that your bone health remains intact and you don't have too much a bone loss.

There are two more nutrients which are also very important for your strong bones:

Vitamin D-  which generally you get from sunlight in the morning between eight a.m. to 11am. So make sure you soak up some Sun because vitamin D is very important to absorb your calcium. Lot of people pop in calcium pills or supplements and still don't have stronger bone just because probably the vitamin D levels are low. So you make sure you have strong bones you need to have good amount of vitamin D levels which you very well and you really get from sunlight. So soak up some Sun in the morning to have strong and healthy bones.

Magnesium-   It is very important to absorb and retain your Calcium into your bones and you can easily get that from a daily dose of nuts, seeds, legumes, sprouts, whole grains and vegetables.

So these little three nutrients which we spoke about it are very important for good bones health and development, but there's also very one important lifestyle change that you need to make if you want to have strong and healthy bones and that is exercise. Research studies show that people who exercise like weight bearing exercises such as weight lifting resistance training at least three times a week they have stronger bones and lesser risk of fractures and osteoporosis than other people because when you exercise the body pushes more calcium from blood into your bones and helps in more bone development and formation rather than degeneration. That is why exercise is very, very important to have strong and healthy bones and to make sure that your risk of fractures are minimum, so these are the few lifestyle steps that I want you to take care if you want to have strong healthy bone.

Earlier stages of varicose veins are treated by wearing stockings, sleeping with legs elevated and sclerotherapy (injection of sclerosing agents in the veins ). Advanced stages are treated by destruction of defective valves in the veins or surgical removal of veins. In cases where there are no symptoms except bad cosmetic experience, no treatment is offered. You must get yourself evaluated by getting a Doppler ultrasound of veins done which would reveal the exact status of your veins.

I don’t know if you are fully aware: you have mentioned that you are suffering from anxiety, which in itself can disturb your sleep. Instead of worrying too much about causes, why don’t you implement some of my suggestions, because they work effectively. The lack of sleep, i. E. Sleep for less than 6 hours per night, is directly linked to about 86 diseases! So let us first focus on that. In your case particularly, do not sleep during the day; don’t even lie down. Go for regular exercise (breathing through your nostrils only) at a fixed time (at about 6 am) every day, whether you sleep or not. You must develop this habit of sleeping by 10 pm latest every night and wake up at a uniform time by 6 am every morning, even if you do not get sleep. If you do not get sleep, just lie down and if you have a bed lamp (or you could get one) lie down and read something light but not exciting. Your eyes will tire and you will fall asleep. If you like you may also put on light and soft music with the sleep function on. Depending on whether you are a visual or auditory person, you may watch TV in a lying down position until you feel sleepy. Have a warm bath before going to bed (for some people a cold bath at night seems to induce sleep! If you are one of them, please do so). Place the head side of your bed in a North-South position. The room must be as dark as possible and there should be no electronic items that give off even a light LED glow. There must be ample ventilation in the room. Avoid strong odors, except lavender, on your body or in the room, or on your sheets and clothes. There should not be any live plants in your bedroom. Sleep with the lightest of clothes or without any clothing. When lying down to sleep, lie down on your left ear as much as possible. Do not sleep directly under an overhead fan. You must eat a good breakfast, a fairly light lunch, and an early dinner, which should be a very light meal. Whatever you eat in the other meals, have only a pure carbohydrate meal at night with any vegetables, and preferably before 8 pm. Do not drink much liquids after or near about dinner time. When lying down to sleep you may use the 4-7-8 breathing pattern of sleep inducement i. E. Breathe in for four counts through your nostril only, hold for 7 counts, and exhale with a whoosh sound, through your mouth only, for 8 counts. Repeat this four times in the morning and just before you sleep at night

You can go ahead and use honey to make your green tea tastier even I do the same. Honey has no effect on green tea it doesn't decreases the beneficial effects of green tea. Don't believe in such things it's just a myth.

I am 59 years old. I am hypertensive, diabetic and stage 3A CKD patient. I am taking medicines regularly and everything is now under control. I am suffering from balanitis for about last 10 years and use Eumosone-M cream for relief. Is there any cure?

continue tablet urimax 0.4 mg daily to control B P H balanitis for 10 yrs indicate that your sugar is not under cotrol. Maintain sugar at less than 110 fasting & less than 200 after food. HbA1C less than 7 % . Check sugar every month ,keep record. Eumosone (clobetasone)is a very potent steroid not for balanitis ,not to be used for more than 10 days ,stop it .Do not use any cream without cunsulting a doctor. Apply terbinafine topically & tablet terbinafine orally.

It indicates normal RBC in respect of its structure, contents n action as well. In case of some different report, treatment would have been required to increase RBC n redness of blood.

Limit your screen time staring at computers, TVs or phones in the evening before going to bed Do eye check-up. Also check if you are having any cervical spondylosis. Also take Belladonna 30 – for headache one dose when required.
