How to remove spots from teeth and get white and shine teeth. Having habit of pan masala.
Get scalling n polishing done by dentist. If you r not happy with your teeth shade later, you can get bleaching done by dentist which'll lighten your teeth by 2-3 shades. Alternatively you can use a teeth whitening toothpaste such as snowdent after scalling. Whitening gels used daily along with customized dental trays provided by dentist r also available in the market. Avoid heavily coloured foods, tea n coffee, cool drinks, smoking n tobacco products as they stain teeth.

I am facing yellow colour my teeth. Every day and night I am brushing. Do not know what is the reason behind my teeth colour. Can you please help me.

I am facing yellow colour my teeth. Every day and night I am brushing. Do not know what is the reason behind my teeth...
The simplest method of removing minor surface stains is polishing, or micro-abrasion if staining is more intrinsic. Provided that your discolouration is not due to inadequate enamel exposing the dentin, tooth whitening (bleaching) is often the most effective treatment for yellow stained teeth. Advance procedures can be done with laser. Use snowdent tooth paste for whitening until then. Apply snowdent paste on the teeth. Wait for 10 to 15 min. Then brush your teeth with the same paste. Applying it overnight for better results.

Most of the tim, wisdom tooth pains a lott while errupting, yes it can definately be removed, if it is not coming in the proper position & direction, ths will b judged by the dentist himself by taking an x ray. The process of wisdom tooth removal depends on the position, direction of tooth & the complexity of root anatomy,& as per case the tim duration varies which will b told to you by your Dr. The process is done after giving a local anaesthesia so juz dun worry, may b the process may tak tim bt it will not b painful. 80% of the tim wisdom tooths require extraction so juz dun wry it will not affect you in any way in the future.

I have this mouth ulcers problem every month I suffer with dat problem can you please suggest me how can I avoid getting them?

MD - Medicine, Diploma in Diabetology, MBBS
General Physician, Malda
Unfortunately there is still no clear cut reason established for recurrent mouth ulcers. It can be due to nutrition deficiency, poor oral hygiene, bad dental condition, hormonal or genetic. All you need to do is to maintain proper oral hygiene and take nutritious foos with antioxidant property like fruits and green leafy vegetables. You can use ointment kenacort for relief during ulcer eruption.

If hot or cold foods make you wince, you may have a common dental problem—sensitive teeth. Sensitivity in your teeth ...
Hello lybrate-user, sensitivity is sharp, shooting type of sensation in teeth on contact of extremely cold or hot food which usually lasts for a few seconds and disappears completely after that and re-occurs again on such stimulus. Treatment plan for sensitive teeth goes as follows: 1. You can use any commercially available desensitizing toothpastes such as colgate sensitive or sensodyne as first line of treatment. If it reduces your sensitivity substantially you can continue brushing with toothpaste in long run to avoid further sensitivity. 2. If you don't get any relief from desensitizing toothpastes it indicates a more severe problem which will need further treatment like layering/coating the damaged tooth surface or filling of the tooth if there is big cavity or root canal treatment in extreme cases getting proper treatment leads to permanent relief in sensitivity problem.

Gum swelling can be due to dirty teeth, hormonal changes, eruption of new teeth etc. For that you need to consult dentist and take treatment according to your need. If swallowing is difficult then it can be due to tonsillitis also. Hope you get well soon.

Usually it would be due to inflammed gums, if it is due to that then a simple cleaning of teeth will cure.

Yes you can go if you are not really interested in rct now but be prepared for rct in near future. Broken tooth could also be saved if you want. But if you insist to extract the dentist may want to see an xray report for the same. An xray is a vital tool for every dental treatment. So go for it and smile.

There are so many reasons of pain in tooth. You should visit to a dentist to identify exact cause of pain and proper treatment. Temporarily you can have pain killer for relief, but this is not a permanent solution. Visit to a dentist soon.

We need more investigations with clinical examination to decide upon treatment. You may need cleaning and artificial enamel filling or root canal treatment. Advance procedures can be done with laser. Dental tips: - visit a dentist every six months for cleaning and a thorough dental check-up. Limit sugary food to avoid tooth decay. Gargle your mouth thoroughly after every meal. Scrub gently to clean your tongue with a tongue cleaner. Floss all your teeth inter dentally & brush twice daily, morning & night, up & down short vertical strokes, with ultra-soft bristles, indicator brush. Tooth brush to be changed every 2 months.

Dental implant Vs Dental bridge

MDS
Dentist, Mumbai
Dental implant Vs Dental bridge

How They Work

dental implant is basically an artificial tooth root (typically made from titanium) that is anchored in place of a missing tooth. A temporary protective cover screw is placed on the implant while it fuses with the jawbone (a process called osseointegration). This process can take up to six months to complete, but creates an incredibly stable, durable prosthetic. After completed osseointegration, the protective cover is replaced by a temporary crown. This serves as a template around which the gum grows and shapes itself in a natural way. The process is completed when the temporary crown is replaced by a permanent crown.

(Read more about dental implants)

dental bridge is in some ways less invasive and other ways more invasive than a dental implant. Unlike implants, bridges do not replace a tooth root. Rather, a bridge uses one or more surrounding teeth as a support on which to attach a crown that can fill the missing tooth space. The treatment process is not nearly as long as the implant process (which requires osseointegration); though in some ways it is more invasive because it requires the permanent alteration of adjacent teeth to support the bridge. As the name implies, a dental bridge literally bridges the gap between teeth resulting from a missing tooth. The restoration therefore must be anchored to one or more adjacent teeth, which must first be filed down in order to function as a support.
