Visit your nearest dentist for acute pain they will take one x ray and if advised go for root canal of the same to swelling can be because of pus accumulated rct is the best treatment plan to save the tooth but before that xray is required to check the prognosis of the treatment.

Dear, you should initially aim to increase your appetite. Increase your appetite by eating more to gain weight. But do it step-by-step and not by stuffing yourself too much at one go. Add one extra chapatti or more rice than you normally consume, or you could even start with fruits by eating an extra one every day. Including the following 10 foods in your diet is also a good idea. Soya proteins lean meats fish eggs milk and milk products dry fruits nuts and oil seeds starchy roots n tubers pulses and lentils good fats combine your efforts with fair amount of physical activity. 1.Do betadine gargle 2-3 times daily 2.Avoid drinking cold water, have luke warm water, tea, coffee, hot soup 3.Take throat lozenges, 4.Give voice rest 5..Avoid smoking 6.If no relief you have to take antibiotic 7.Consult doctor for further advice

All the luxuries we possess are any how not going to give us health. Stay a step behind, walk a bit, eat a bit less but nutritious, laugh a bit more, sleep on time and adequate, fear god, and life is worth living. Health is wealth. Stay healthy.

Most of the times when I split my saliva comes in yellow colour. Why is it so? I think that comes from my teeth or gum because I can feel it. Some days before in my early morning saliva I had noticed blood. What's the reason behind this?

I think you are not suffering from any problem at all. Sometimes if blood comes out from saliva, then get a scaling done from a dentist.

Sleep on a hard bed with soft bedding on it. Spring beds, folding beds or thick matress are harmful use no pillow under the head. Do hot fomantation. Paracetamol 250mg od & sos x 5days. Caldikind plus 1tab od x10. Do neck, back & general exercises. It may have to be further investigated. You will need other supportive medicines also. Make sure you are not allergic to any of the medicines you are going to take. If it does not give relief in 4-5days, contact me again. Do not ignore. It could be beginning of a serious problem.

Foods That Help You Fight The Cold

Brrrr! the season of cold winds and chilly nights is upon us. Winter has officially arrived. Along with the winter chill, this season also brings along chapped lips, a god awful flu and sudden shivers. But you don't have to surrender. Here's how to stop a cold before it takes hold.

1. Sweet potato
While sweet potatoes may not be considered a traditional cold-fighting food, they're a great source of vitamin a, which plays a key role in maintaining the health of your mucosal surfaces. This includes the inside of your nose and your gastrointestinal tract, as well as your skin. You might not think of your skin as part of your immune system but it keeps infections from entering your body. It's your first line of defense.

2. Turmeric
One of the most recent spices to be crowned a superfood, turmeric is a rich yellow powder often used in curry dishes. It's high in antioxidants and considered a natural anti-inflammatory. If you take it on a daily basis, it is known to relieve the body of toxins. It has been shown that people who consume turmeric are less susceptible to colds, coughs, and congestion.

3. Hot chocolate
Curling up with a cup of hot cocoa is one way to feel snug but adding a little dark chocolate to your diet is a great health booster too. The sweet contains flavonoids, a type of antioxidant thought to reduce the damage caused by free radicals, potential instigators of cancer and cardiovascular disease. A study in the journal of immunology research found that red blood cells were less susceptible to free radicals after people consumed a drink with flavonoid-rich cocoa.

4. Cinnamon
Cinnamon, and other spices boost your metabolism which generates body heat. Include more spices in your meals, even if they are sprinkled on top, just a little bit. Cumin, coriander, turmeric, cloves, paprika, pepper, nutmeg and allspice are other good ones to incorporate as well. The hottest spices - like cayenne - will make you sweat and actually release heat from your body.

5. Coconut oil
As they metabolize, fats, in general, can help keep you warm. Besides from eating it, coconut oil is also useful as a moisturizer. Dry, cracked skin, lets heat escape more easily and is more sensitive to cold - especially when it's windy. If you keep your skin healthy and strong, it'll be better at keeping the heat in. Before heading out into the cold, try rubbing some coconut oil on your legs, arms and face.

6. Ginger
Fresh or ground ginger is our favorite food to warm you up. Try using it in porridge, salad dressings, soups, cookies or muffins. One of our favorite ways to enjoy ginger is to put thin slices or grate some of the fresh roots into a mug of hot water. Not only does it help warm you up, but it boosts your digestive and immune systems to keep you nourished and strong in the face of any winter bugs.

I hve high triglycerides and I eat non veg food almost 2 times a week out side including pizza sometimes. I workout two times a week and walk one km. I have no erection and even if I get erection its for just 2-3 min. Pls help.

Dear Lybrate user The common cause of muscle twitching include the following:  Twitching can occur after physical activity because lactic acid accumulates in the muscles used during exercise. It most often affects the arms, legs, and back. Muscle twitches caused by stress and anxiety are often called “nervous ticks. If the twitching during sleep occurs due to medication or taking alcohol, simply changing your bedtime routine can help.  Practicing yoga and meditation helps combat stress-related twitching. In order to avoid twitching from dehydration, ensure to limit consumption of coffee, soda, and beer. If the cause is a vitamin deficiency, vitamin supplements to replenish the supply of minerals and vitamins can alleviate symptoms.  Consult a doctor before taking vitamin supplements to identify the deficiency.  A good sleep at night can recharge the body for the next day. Take home cooked meals Avoid too much spices in food Avoid fast foods and stuff made of maida Increase intake of fruits like yellow pineapple and pomegranate ..orange ..guava etc.. To prevent dehydration drink plenty of fluids...one glass of water every hour Take meals on time daily and sleep well for at least 6-7 hours...sleep is very necessary for a good stomach.. Get your stool tested for any infection if the problem persists

Hello, Thanks for your query. Try an over-the-counter medicine containing simethicone, which helps to break down gas bubbles. You can try a process of elimination by substituting a gassy food for a non-gassy one, and see which one is giving you the most trouble. A few basic substitutions: • Rice milk for cow’s milk • Bananas, blueberries and melon for apples, peaches and plums • Gluten-free and spelt cereals and bread for wheat and rye products • Bamboo shoots, bok choy, carrot, celery, corn, eggplant, green beans, lettuce, chives, parsnip, pumpkin, and tomato for artichokes, asparagus, Brussels sprouts, broccoli, cabbage, okra, onions, and peas. reduce diet, avoid fried, oily food, fast food, sweets and sugar. do morning walk daily for 1 hr, do exercise. eat protein diet and green vegetable diet, drink 3-4 litre of water daily. sit in a tub having hot water so that your whole body deeps in it for 1/2 hr daily thanks

1-1 drop of cow ghee in both nostrils at night time before sleep. Take sarpgandha vati 1-1 tab twice a day. Take pranacharya no tens capsule 1-1 twice a day. Avoid spicy food. Junk food. Fermented food. Tea. Coffee. Do pranayama early in the morning. Avoid alcohol consumption.
