Oil free creams are supposed to be used when you need to moisturise your skin. Oily skin does not need moisturisation. May be in winters it needs in some. You need to use saslic face wash. Only for sun protection, you will choose an oil free sun screen. Oil free creams do not mean they will help you control the oil. They are just better than the rest of the creams that make face greater and oilier.

Rheumatoid Arthritis - 9 Ways You Can Manage the Discomfort

Rheumatoid Arthritis - 9 Ways You Can Manage the Discomfort

Rheumatoid arthritis is a painful disease of the joints, mostly affecting older people. It mostly results in swollen, aching joints that make movement extremely challenging. Rheumatoid arthritis results in receding and tenderness of the synovial membrane. This leads to a decline in flexibility, causing intense distress, thus hindering daily activities.

Steps to manage the discomfort caused by it

  1. There is no complete cure for Rheumatoid arthritis. The discomfort however, can be controlled to a certain extent with regular exercises, change in diet and medications.

  2. Regular exercise can help in increasing the flexibility, maintaining the synovial fluid between joints that help in lubrication.

  3. Home remedies including use of medical oils to massage the affected joints on a regular basis. In this case, there are several herbal or Ayurvedic oils available, that can provide temporary remedy.

  4. It is important to increase the intake of vitamin D. This can be done by spending a short while out in the sun every day. Vitamin D supplements are also available in the form of capsules.

  5. A decrease in the alcohol consumption is highly recommended to people with bones and joints disorders.

  6. Swimming is an excellent exercise as it causes minimal labour on the joints. It is extremely beneficial to all people.

  7. It is important to lose excess weight, so as to lessen the pressure on the joints.  For example, heavy and wide waist structure can affect the knees in the long run. It can help increase your energy level and help you function efficiently.

  8. Smoking and drinking affect almost all organs of the body eventually and lead to a painful death or physical abnormalities. It has been found that overindulgence in alcohol and tobacco can also flare up chances of rheumatoid arthritis.

  9. It has been found that rheumatoid arthritis mostly affects women. Therefore, women need to be exceptionally cautious about their daily exercise schedule and diet.

I go to gym and take protein pills to build muscles. Is there any kind of side effects or its OK to take them.

I go to gym and take protein pills to build muscles.
Is there any kind of side effects or its OK to take them.
The moment you start going to the gym, whatever is your workout, does not justify taking a protein supplement. Proteins are not stored in the body like other nutrients. Your body will utilize only as much protein it needs and the rest will be broken down for energy purpose which is it's secondary function; main being building/repairing muscles. Depending on the exercise( ie. strength training/cardio or activities like gymnastics or weight lifting ) your body's needs for proteins varies. Although whey is natural and the most easily and quickly assimilated form of protein - it is not needed to be exclusively included in your diet. You have to have a balanced healthy protein rich diet for the supplement to be utilised. Protein need totally depends on your present food intake & activity levels. Check the contents of the pills. Proteins are generally not available in pills.

You are emotionally unstable. You need emotional therapy. You are suffering from psychological problem. Because of excessive internal frustrated thoughts. You are very easily getting angerness. Better to analyse your internal thoughts. If anything is secrecy or anything leads to dissatisfaction. Analyse that. Based on that take further steps to come out from this statues. Excessive angerness will not come without any reason. After analyse then take your environment very easily. Maintain calmness and pleasant manner. Better to practise yoga and meditation. Express your internal thoughts to your close friends and family member. Be sociable. Be happy all time. Do not maintain this status. It is always problematic to you. Better to come out from this status. Ok all the best.

Even though I'm normal in weight only my stomach is getting bigger in size. How can I reduce my stomach fat?

C.S.C, D.C.H, M.B.B.S
General Physician,
Even though I'm normal in weight only my stomach is getting bigger in size. How can I reduce my stomach fat?
5 Fast Ways To Lose Your Belly ========================= 1. Fuel Up Foods rich in protein help you build muscle, while soluble fiber – found in oats, beans, fruits, and veggies – shrinks belly fat. A study from Wake Forest found that for every 10-gram increase in soluble fiber people ate daily (about two small apples, a serving of oatmeal, a half cup of pinto beans, and a half cup of peas), their belly fat decreased by almost 4% over five years. 2. Fiber Adding ground flaxseed to your diet – mix a teaspoon or two into cereal or yogurt – helps prevent constipation. (It’s hard to have flat abs if your pipes are backed up.) To avoid stomachaches, increase fiber slowly and up your water intake,. 3. Cardio In a Duke University study of 196 sedentary, overweight adults, aerobic training significantly reduced deep belly fat and also burned more visible midsection flab. To maximize the benefit with a minimum time commitment, try interval training, suggests exercise physiologist Jessica Matthews of the American Council on Exercise. Start with a 1: 2 ratio (jog 30 seconds, then walk briskly for a minute), aiming for 150 minutes weekly. 4. Stand Up Straight Standing tall, with tummy and butt tucked in, automatically makes your front look flatter. These two moves help you pull it off. Do each two to three times per week; work up to three sets of 12 reps. Even sitting up straight on a daily basis, instead of slouching over as you watch TV or are on your phone, will help you build up your muscles around your stomach. Just think about it: you’re doing a light version of a plank, standing up! 5. Strengthen Your Core Glute Bridge: Lie on back with bent knees, feet on floor. Lift butt, drawing pelvis to the ceiling without arching back. Lower butt down slowly. Bird Dog: From all fours, extend one arm and the opposite leg to shoulder and hip height simultaneously, keeping shoulders and hips squared to the floor. Lower slowly to start, and repeat on opposite side. Front Plank: Lie on stomach, with forearms on floor and hands palm-down on either side of chest. Tuck toes, lift legs, tighten abs, and raise body to a modified push-up position, keeping forearms on the floor. Hold five seconds, then lower. Repeat three times. Work up to holding for 20 seconds each time. Half-Kneel Lift: Kneel on right knee, with left foot forward and left knee at 90-degree angle. Hold a soccer ball with both hands at right hip. Without rotating body, slowly bring ball up and across until it’s above left shoulder and slightly behind you. Return to start. Do two to three sets of eight to 12 reps on each side.

6 Lessons that Dear Zindagi Teaches Us

6 Lessons that Dear Zindagi Teaches Us

Every movie seeks to entertain us, but some try and do more than just that. Dear Zindagi is a youth centric movie that revolves around the life and troubles of the free spirited girl Kaira (Alia Bhatt). After getting out of yet another relationship Kaira finds herself seeking help from Dr Jehangir Khan (Shah Rukh Khan) who doles out advice that could apply to all our lives. Here are a few life lessons from the movie.

  1. Find your inner circle: Being constantly surrounded by people does not mean that you have a lot of friends. Differentiate between quality and quantity and find your inner circle of people you can count on. It’s okay to let go of people from time to time.
  2. Seeking help is normal: You go to a doctor for a fever so why not talk to someone when you’re emotionally unwell. Dear Zindagi tries to change the mindset that only crazy people seek mental help and tell us that it’s okay to consult someone even for day to day issues.
  3. Express yourself: Putting up a strong face to the world may be okay once in a while, but it’s always better to express yourself. Allowing emotions to be bottled up inside you, will make you feel suffocated and can be the source of a number of problems. It is as important to cry and shout as it is to love.
  4. Don’t be too hard on yourself: No one is perfect and trying to make yourself perfect is a futile exercise. Being honest with yourself is a good exercise, but don’t put yourself down and criticise yourself too much. In Kaira’s case, it is having too many boyfriends that make her feel cheap. In yours, it might be changing too many jobs. But as Dr Khan puts it, you don’t select furniture in one go so why should you stick to one boyfriend, job or anything else for that matter until you find the right one.
  5. Don’t hold a grudge against your parents: It’s easy to blame your parents for things that are going wrong in your life, but does that really do any good. You may feel like your parents don’t understand you, but it is important to know that they always have your best interests in mind. Make an effort to talk to them and understand their lives instead of shutting them out of yours.
  6. Let go of the past: Everyone makes mistakes. Holding on to them will keep you from moving on with life and hence, let go of your past. If you must, analyse the past to see if there’s anything to learn from it and only keep those lessons. Invest in your present and the future is sure to be bright. If you wish to discuss about any specific problem, you can consult a psychiatrist.
