Hye, Thanks for the query. Gaining weight requires you to eat more calories than you burn. Although fried or sugary foods are calorie dense, eating them exclusively won’t provide enough nutrition to keep you energetic and healthy. Eating several meals and snacks throughout the day and including nutritious, calorie-dense food will help you gain weight healthfully. Weight gain depends primarily on your genetics, age, weight and activity level. To gain weight, you need to eat more calories than you burn. If you’re not used to eating large quantities of food at one time, you may find it difficult to fit all of your calories into three meals per day. Eating nutritious, calorie-dense foods every two to three hours will help you get your calories in without making you overly full and sluggish. If you tend to forget to eat or are always on the go, bring calorie-dense snacks such as eggs, mixed nuts, fruits and dairy. Nutritious, calorie-dense foods provide essential vitamins and minerals, which promote good health and energy. Adding ghee and cream to foods adds additional calories for very little extra physical bulk. Fruit juice, masala milk provides crucial nutrients. Meal-replacement shakes and protein powder sound like good options but also remember that unless your diet is not planned sadly they won't help.

Treating your own headaches


You don't necessarily need a doctor's prescription to treat your headaches. Here are some ways you can find relief, without
Medication:
Apply an ice pack to the painful area of your head. Try placing it on your forehead, temples, or the back of your neck.
Take a warm bath or shower; take a nap; or take a walk.
Ask someone to rub your neck and back, or treat yourself to a massage.
Apply gentle, steady rotating pressure to the painful area of your head with your index finger and/or thumb. Maintain pressure for seven to 15 seconds, then release. Repeat as needed.
Rest, sit, or lie quietly in a low-lit room. Close your eyes and try to release the tension in your back, neck, and shoulders.
If you have excessive muscle contractions in the neck, it may be helpful to perform
Physical therapy exercises every day.

Dear lybrate user with the limited information provided it appears that you are suffering form indigestion issues. This is a common entity when we consume a high carbohydrate load and our intestines are not able to cater all of it, which is then converted to free compounds which later presents as flatulence and uneasiness. It is advisable if you can start exercising regularly along with intake of high fibre diet and liberal fluid intake. Some blood test can also be done if your problem persist. I have BP and I use tablet telma xx daily twice. Few days back my blood pressure went low i. E 80/60. So I am taking the tablet only once in a day. It is being 115/70 on average. Today I did not take any tablet, it is around 129/80. Is the tablet required to be taken? Or can it stop?

Record your reading for ten days twice a day and if it is high or you are symptomatic than we have to start it and also get your blood checked for cbc lipid profile

For muslces building a hight protein diet is advisable... you should eat more pulses... and green vegetables... And also you can take Protein Powder... as a drink... Avoid fatty food and sugar and salt to minimum...

If steroids are given orally for long periods of time than only it will cause bone shrinkage but if given through nebulisation than it won't have any side effects

Hi Prabhu, I am giving you some health tips to keep digestion healthy 1.Avoid food from outside, junk, fried, spicy fatty food, Take home made food 2.Take small frequent meal kindly take 5-6 small meal in whole day Take 6-8 glass of water in a day 5. Moderate physical activity regularly 6. Hi My wife is suffering from diabetes since last three months. Her fbs is 251mg & ppbs is 328mg . She is taking simple veg. Food daily. She takes tab. This much of sugars can be controlled by 3 ways 1) life style modifications I mean she needs to do 30 min of exercise regularly like swimming, brisk walking etc this will decrease insulin resistance 2) she should eat diabetic diet 3) change of medicine I thing she should add newer drugs called gliptins to it just a single tab will take her sugars normal.

Irregular periods are mostly due to hormone imbalance. Those who have this problem also sometimes have other symptoms such as weight gain, abnormal facial and body hair, pigmentation, hair fall, pms, painful periods and family history of diabetes. Although there are some exceptions always. The condition once diagnosed is called pcod\pcos. I suggest you go through a comprehensive gynae checkup ; sonography and blood investigations as recommended by your doctor. .Extension Exercises x 15 times x twice daily – Lying on tummy, take left arm up for 3 seconds, then bring it down, right arm up for 3 seconds, bring down. Bring right leg up, hold for 3 seconds, bring it down. Then right leg up and hold for 3 seconds and bring it down. Repeat twice a day- 10 times. Bhujang Asana? Lie flat on your stomach, keeping the palms out, bend the neck backward, take a deep breath and while holding it for 6 seconds, raise the chest up. Release breath and relax your body. Repeat the exercise 15 times twice daily. Core Strengthening Exercises- Straight Leg Raised With Toes Turned Outward, repeat 10 times, twice a day.

Please note that you are having piles. The first home treatment for piles that is highly recommended is ice. Ice will help constrict the blood vessels, reduce swelling and give you immediate pain relief. •Apply an icepack or a partially melted piece of ice wrapped in a cloth directly on the affected area for about 10 minutes. Do this several times a day until the hemorrhoid goes away. •You can even use a small pack of frozen vegetables such as peas or corn. Wrap the pack in a tea towel and then apply it on the hemorrhoid. Do this for 20 minutes at a time, three times a day. Take Nux vom 30 – twice daily for next 10 days and report back for further treatment.
