My 2 months baby craving Nan pro 1 forcing while passing stool and pass. Gases and always pass gases, please advice me she pass green stool and tell me difference between nan pro and lactogen Nan pro price are high which milk is good.

MBBS Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery, BCH, DNB - Training, PDCC - Pediatric Hepatology & Gastroenterology
Pediatrician, Gurgaon
Nan pro has better protein than lactogen formula which makes it better digestible Nestle claims it to be closer to mother milk so is superior but remember it's not a replacement of mother milk. Your other concerns are not clear but it seems your baby is having normal gut and no major concern.

I am breastfeeding mom bt I think my breast milk is not enough for my baby what to do?

MD Pediatrics
Pediatrician, Vadodara
When the baby is breastfeeding and after few days something around 15 days to be minimum if the baby is gaining good or adequate weight gain then be rest assured. Also if the baby passes 6-7 times urine per day sleeps after taking feeds then you don't have to worry. Kindly speak with your pediatrician to know more. In the initial months of life 15 to 20 grams per day weight gain is good enough after that your doctor will tell you what is the expected weight gain required for the baby.

Hi, thank you for your query. You have not mentioned the frequency and colour of the motions. It would be best to consult a doctor and get a stool routine examination done. You can give her plenty of oral fluids in the form of lemonade, butter milk to prevent dehydration. Give her semisolid diet. Wishing your daughter all the best. Regards,

BABY TEETH CARE BASICS:---Few things are as adorable as a baby's totally toothless smile. But baby teeth development doesn't take long. Before you know it, you'll be navigating your way through the world of teething, brushing baby teeth, losing baby teeth and eventually welcoming in a mouth full of permanent pearly whites. Baby teeth development actually begins before baby is born. Primary teeth are almost completely formed at birth but remain buried under the gums. These mini chompers start showing up when a baby is about six months to a year old.Unfortunately, baby tooth development and eruption is a painful process. Teething can make an infant's gums sore, causing your little one to be uncomfortable and irritable. Experts suggest that during baby tooth development, you massage your baby's gums with a clean finger or give a chilled teething ring, a cool spoon or a cold, wet washcloth to help ease the discomfort.Parents should begin brushing baby teeth as soon as the first tooth arrives. Why bother? These little munchers help baby with proper chewing and speech and hold space in the gums for permanent teeth. It's never too early to start taking good care of your baby's teeth. Here are some baby teeth care basics:----- Prevent early childhood caries, also known as baby bottle tooth decay, by making sure baby doesn't sleep with a bottle containing any sugary liquids -- even breast milk. And never give your child a pacifier that's been dipped into anything sweet.- Start brushing baby teeth as soon as the first tooth appears. Routine baby dental care should also include massaging the gums with a clean gauze pad. When all teeth have erupted, floss at least once a day to help prevent the buildup of dental plaque.- Wean your baby off thumb-sucking if he or she is still doing so by age four. Otherwise, it can cause overcrowded or crooked teeth.- Consider a combination of fluoride treatment and dental sealants, thin plastic coatings applied on baby molars to keep dental plaque from accumulating. Talk to your dentist before giving your child any fluoride dental treatment and have your child use only un-fluoridated toothpaste until two years of age.- Take your child to the dentist after the first tooth arrives or by age one. Regular dental visits combined with daily baby teeth care can help give your baby a good head start on the road to dental health.A great dentist or pediatric dentist can answer any questions you might have about baby teeth development and help provide tips for proper baby teeth care.Call/Text/What's up us @ 8285666226 fir any help.

My daughter who is now 6 months old doesn't like to drink milk. What should I do?

M.D.( Pediatrics), DCH
Pediatrician,
Don't force her, instead give whatever she likes (Breast Milk) and start gradual weaning with home diet. Remember she has mind just like you. Imagine how do you feel when some one forces you to eat against your will. Don't try to justify she doesn't know. Mind doesn't accept that

Your wife must have got infected about 2 weeks ago and developed symptoms today. 9 weeks old baby also would have come in contact with same same person from where your wife got infection. Vaccination status of mother againest chicken pox is not known. Under the situation, it is adviseble to consult pediatician.

Babies pass stools while feeding/crying/straining. It is normal to pass 10-20 times/day. Watch for weight gain. If baby is not gaining weight and vomiting then needs investigation. Passing gas frequently is normal. Increase stools and passing gas will last for 6 months to 1 year of age.
