I am suffering from severe headache continuously if I have incomplete sleep and am having migraine. So what should I do for this.

Hello, you can take homoeopathic medicine belladonna 30 (4 drops in little water) thrice a day for 3 days and update. *massaging the head with soothing oils is also an excellent way to get relief from head pain. *avoid stress and anger. *take a sound sleep. *meditation and yoga also helps in avoiding the attacks of headache.

I think I have migraine issue. My head on the right hand side ache 2-3 times a week. Any suggestions?

Avoid triggers. If certain foods or odors seem to have triggered your migraines in the past, avoid them. Reduce your caffeine and alcohol intake and avoid tobacco. In general, establish a daily routine with regular sleep patterns and regular meals. In addition, try to control stress. Exercise regularly. Regular aerobic exercise reduces tension and can help prevent migraines. If your doctor agrees, choose any aerobic exercise you enjoy, including walking, swimming and cycling. Warm up slowly, however, because sudden, intense exercise can cause headaches. Obesity is also thought to be a factor in migraine headaches, and regular exercise can help you maintain a healthy weight or lose weight.

I m having migraine nd headache from last 15 days so please prescribe me a good treatment so I can feel good.

Headaches due to migraine is very common these days especially in young adults because of there lifestyle and working environment. Sometimes pain is very severe on one side of the head.  So I would recommend you to avoid stress and anxiety, quiet the mind from distractions. Stay calm positive and do deep breathing exercises, listen some music that would give you some relaxation. If pain is severe then place ice pack over forehead and lie down for some time to relax your mind and give you comfort and stress full life. Massage your head using levander oil or clove oil as it removes toxins from body. You can use mint or clove spray for inhaling in case of headache. If pain is severe you can also apply ginger paste over the painful area. Avoid taking caffeine, alcohol, phenylethylamine (found in chocolate and cheese), tyramine (found in nuts and fermented meats, cheeses, and soy), and aspartame (in many artificially sweetened foods) as sometimes these all exaggerate pain instead use basil leaves tea or ginger tea boiled nicely in water without milk. Regular intake of healthy dietry food rich in proteins and vitamins. Avoid fasting - Eat breakfast, lunch and dinner at fixed timings. Make yourself busy by fulfilling your hobby as it will give you freshness and your mind will be diverted from normal life which help in pain reduction. Take min 7 hours of sleep. Make a habit of 20-25 min walking daily along with some meditations. If required then only take pain relieving tablets like naprosyn For more help or instructions please consult. Their is no timings in my sleeping. Most of the time I tried to sleep but not able to sleep. Then I thought I had insomnia. But I think in insomnia you won't be able to sleep for a minute. I want to know what happen to me. Sometimes I slept a lot and not able to get up from bed. #helpmeout.

What was the symptoms of brain tumor? How it identify? What is the treatment? How it danger?

Brain tumor can present in several ways. Some remain asymptomatic. Some may have headache, blurring of vision, hearing problem, epilepsy etc. It can be identified on brain imaging - ct or mri. Some tumours remain harmless whereas others can cause rapid progression of symptoms leading to coma and death. Treatment is mainly surgery, although some may respond to radiation.

Dbs may help in motor symptoms but it will not help in memory problems. If he has dementia, then he is not a fit candidate for dbs.

I have been suffering from sleep disorder for the past few years. Without the support of sleeping tablet or a couple of alcoholic drink I will not be able to sleep. If I don't take either of this it will take a very long time to fall asleep and that too will be a very disturbed sleep. Please give me some advice to overcome this.

Migraine - Know Its Ayurvedic Remedies!

In modern days, migraine has become a common disease that affects the young and the old equally. Migraine as such cannot be cured, but improving lifestyle and Ayurvedic medication can help you keep this disease under control and improve your quality of life.

What is Migraine?

Migraine, commonly known as Sooryavarta in Ayurveda, is a medical condition in which the excessive stimulation of the blood vessels in the brain causes a throbbing pain on one side of the head and is associated with nausea, sensitivity and vomiting. This happens because the vomiting centre of the brain gets activated during an episode. These symptoms are the most common signs; however, it varies from person to person. 

What Causes Migraines?

These headaches worsen upon sunrise and it is at its peak at noon, when the sun is at its highest intensity and slowly subsides on sunset. This is one of the major factors in setting in an episode; it is not true in every case. 

The other triggers that cause migraine attacks according to Ayurveda are:

  1. Spicy and oily food
  2. Stress, anger, grief, jealousy
  3. Suppressed emotions or natural urges
  4. Indigestion
  5. Consumption of too much of dry, salty and pungent food
  6. Consuming polluted food

General triggers may include:

  1. Smoking and drinking
  2. Stress
  3. Fasting
  4. Physical stress and exercise
  5. Fluctuation in hormone levels during the menstrual cycle or the use of birth control pills
  6. Stopping intake of tea or coffee suddenly
  7. Stress to sensory organs in the form of bright noises, bright lights, strong perfumes or odours etc.

Certain foods or beverages may also trigger an episode of migraine. These include baked foods, chocolates, processed foods, spicy foods, onions, dairy products and peanuts. These kinds of foods are known to suddenly increase Kapha dosha or Pitta Dosha and as a result, trigger an attack.

Symptoms of Migraine

It is usually characterised by a stinging, throbbing pain on one side of the head and is followed by nausea and vomiting. Some people may get visual aberrations called an aura- such as blind spots, blurred visions, distorted lines etc.

Ayurvedic medications that can help migraine are:

  1. Indian licorice – Glycyrrhiza glabra
  2. Sariva – Hemidesmus indicus
  3. Hareetaki – Chebulic myrobalan-Terminalia chebula
  4. Amalaki – amala – Emblica officinalis
  5. Mallika – Jasminum officinale
  6. Hareetaki – Chebulic myrobalan-Terminalia chebula
  7. Bala – Sida cordifolia
  8. Kumari – Aloe vera
  9. Sariva – Hemidesmus indicus

Simple home remedies useful in migraine:

  1. Tender leaves of jasmine or tender leaves of pomegranate are taken along with a pinch of salt and crushed well to obtain fresh juice. Early in the morning, preferably in empty stomach, 2-3 drops of this fresh juice is instilled to both the nostrils. Procedure is repeated once again evening hours (6-7 pm). This reduces the severity of headache in migraine.
  2. One fist full of Doorva grass (cynodan dactylon) is taken and its fresh juice is obtained. To this, 2 pinch of licorice powder is added and mixed well. This is consumed during the noon hours. Procedure is repeated for 20-30 days. This helps to reduce the severity of illness significantly.
  3. Take coriander seed powder – 1 teaspoon. add it to one cup of water, leave it as it is at night, next day morning, drink it on empty stomach.
  4. Soak 5 raisins and 5 almonds in water at night, next day morning, eat them. If you wish to discuss about any specific problem, you can consult an ayurveda.

I have been working as a software engineer for the last three years and thus have a continuous sitting job. As a result of which I have developed severe lower back and neck pain, the pain is also accompanied by numbness in both the hands. Since the last two years I have been moving to and fro with doctors each having his different theory. Vitamin D deficiency, nerve compression, chronic fatigue syndrome are the different reasons which doctors have suggested. I have been taking Vitamin D supplements, medicines to heal nerve pain and doing meditation sincerely for the last two years but nothing has helped. Please advise some solution. I am 25 years old and feel pitiful of myself because of these issues.

Ok symptoms are like cs according your age it may be deficiency of bit d and calcium levels but your job is long sitting its also a cause so defined it tk a x-ray of cervical. Avoid long sitting and toward bending of spine. At time tk physiotherapy treatment for relief and reduce numbness this is due to overstrain of muscle tk muscle relaxant medicine firstly do that it will help you.
