You can definitely take badam, walnuts and figs (anjeer) but in moderate quantity. Like 5 - 8 badams, about 25 g of walnuts and 2- 3 pieces of dry anjeer. But what is most important is to have a very good control of sugar levels. If you inform me the fasting, pp sugar levels, hba1c and weight, height and level of exercise daily plus medication being taken I can guide better.

Also she has lost 70%of her teeth still she does nt want to visit dental surgeon for treatment. Is this could be a reason for her high blood pressure. Please help.

Hii. The antihypertensive drugs can be the cause for the loss of teeth. Actually what happens is the antihypertensive drugs causes increase in the size of gingiva. Leading to difficulties in maintaining proper oral hygiene. That eventually leads to tooth loss.

High triglycerides and cholesterol can cause atherosclerotic heart disease or narrowed coronary arteries in the heart can cause the symptoms of angina, when theheart muscle is not provided with enough oxygen to function. Decreased blood supply to the brain may be due to narrowed small arteries in the brain or because the larger carotidarteries in the neck may become blocked. This can result in a transient ischmic attack or stroke. Peripheral artery disease describes gradual narrowing of the arteries that supply the legs. During exercise , if the legs do not get enough blood supply, they can develop pain , called claudication . Other arteries in the body may also be affected by plaque buildup causing them to narrow, including the mesenteric arteries to the intestine and the renal arteries to the kidney. Change life style .do meditation, yoga, Go walk daily, do any one physically activity daily i.e.play any game., Avoid fast foods, oily foods, junk foods, alcohol, smoking, fatty foods, non-veg.,avoid stress, take plenty of water in day time. You are 22 and living in nainital, it will be worth getting cardiac check up done for sugar and lipids and ecg and halter tests plus blood pressure and get back here with reports. You will get more guidance from any of us here on the forum. Regarding hospital I am a delhi based doctor and can recommend nhi at eok for routine check up. Just for information for everyone reading this these people have bpl category beds too and a subsidised treatment is offered provided the person carries a genuine bpl card but after getting booked for treatment, there's no discrimination between classes of people in icu.

At your age of 60 years you need to take stock of your abilities. You are no more young or capable of learning new things fast. Talk to other persons of your age and join some group of elders and talk about your gradually failing capacities. At the same time retain whatever you still have. Try and maintain active life style with your abilities. If you develop anxiety while learning new things, go slowly step by step and take the help from your children or preferably from your grandchildren.

Reduce your oil/ghee intake, reduce fried items and non-veg foods. Avoid starchy foods like potato, rice, etc. Increase your fiber intake by increasing your green leafy vegetables. Fish, flax seeds, citrus fruits, sprouts will all help in reducing your cholesterol.
