A major cause of tooth sensitivity is root exposure. Kindly consult a dentist in person for further suggestion. We need more investigations with clinical examination to decide upon treatment. You may need cleaning along with desensitizing procedures and / or artificial enamel filling and / or root canal treatment. Advance procedures can be done with laser too. Until then apply a desensitizing paste (sensodyne tooth paste) on the teeth. Wait for 10 to 15 min until you brush your teeth with the same paste. Applying it overnight will be better. The type of treatment you have for cavity in tooth will depend on the cause of the decay, so your dentist will examine your mouth and may carry out an X-ray to try to identify the problem. • If your cavity is caused by tooth decay, your dentist will remove the decayed area and replace it with a filling. • If the pulp inside your tooth is infected, you may need root canal treatment. This procedure involves removing the infected pulp and then inserting a special type of filling to seal the tooth and prevent re-infection.

Its not water but your salivation which might be high causing this issue for you. Try brushing your teeth at night time before bed, it might help.

I frequetly suffer from mouth ulser. What should I need to do give your opinion. Thnx.

Dentist, Bangalore
Hi. Can understand your concern. As per your complain there is no specific reason found which causes mouth ulcers and the treatment for mouth ulcers is based on relieving the symptoms. If you have pain you can use numbing gels like orabase gel, mucopain gel. Avoid spicy and hot food as it can be irritating. Avoid sour food as it can lead to aggravating the ulcers and relapses. Drink enough water to keep yourself hydrated. Do saline gargles. Take a multivitamin like zincovit for 15 days. Hope your query is solved.

Mouth ulcers usually heal on their own in a weeks to 10 days time. But if the ulcer is not healing with all the remedies you have taken and is of such a long duration than it can be a sharp tooth which is causing this ulcer. Long standing ulcers can turn in to serious problems and one should never take them lightly. I would suggest you to consult as soon as possible.
