Hello,Dandruff causes hair loss so its necessary to treat dandruff first. Take Thuja 200, 5 drops in the morning, once in a week. Take Arnica Q and Cochleria arom. Q in equal amount, mix with equal amount of coconut oil, and apply this on your scalp, thrice a day. Wash your hair with B&T Anti- Dandruff Shampoo. Home remedies are as follows:- Coconut oil helps eliminate dandruff due to its antifungal properties. It also moisturizes dry scalp and provides relief from itching. Take some coconut oil and mix half the amount of lemon juice in it. 1. Rub it on your scalp and massage for a few minutes. 2. Wash your hair after at least 20 minutes. 3. Follow this remedy two to three times a week. Apply Topi Berberis on the pimples. Revert me after 1 month.

I observe pain in my spine when I get up in the morning. My feet also swell during the day. I had got my blood test done some days ago and found that the uric acid level has increased.

MBBS, DGO (cal)
General Physician,
I don't your Uric Acid has any role to play with this. It is possibly and most probably you are suffering from Lumber spondylosis with disc disease. A digital X-ray of your Lumbo Sacral region region (both AP and Lateral Vies) shall help to understand. You need to consult a spinal surgeon or orthopedic surgeon for this. Till then you follow these: 1) - Weight reduction is absolutely essential for you. 2) - Avoid forward bending and carry heavy weight which require forward bending. 3) Posture Corrections - sit with back in erect posture. Avoid back rest of sofa or chair. To view TV better lie down than sitting for long time. 4) Spinal Extension Exercises - like Bridges, and Yogas, videos available in U-tube. Just type 'spinal extension exercises' on google chrome. You shall find lot of it. Hard-bed concept is obsolete for nearly 35 years. Use 60 Density firm foam mattress of reputed make shall be good for you. To avoid denting on mattress rotate mattress every 15 days. Madam Exercise is the the only remedy for treating, cure and prevention of low back pain. No other ways. Medicine is to give relief in acute painful condition. Every day is important in your life for your low back pain. Starting action even from next morning is going to add benefit in your quality of life on the contrary delay is going to cause harm. Please believe it and start from next morning itself. Otherwise you shall invite surgery.

Dear Lybrate user Rotate your head in both clockwise and counter-clockwise directions, and nod the neck side to side from one shoulder to the other. Do this for 10 minutes 2 or 3 times daily. This will help the pain in your neck from getting severe. You can even rotate your arms in clockwise and counter-clockwise directions, and fold and unfold your fists at regular intervals to control pain. 2. Hot and Cold Compresses Another easy way to deal with neck pain due to cervical spondylosis is alternating hot and cold compresses on the affected area. Hot compresses will improve blood circulation and relax sore muscle.

Mere taking green tea will not fetch you anything. You need to do exercises to loose weight. Please do morning walk (brisk-walking)/ treadmill for at least 60 minutes daily. Keep moving as much as you can whenever you can. Keep meal portions small especially if they’re cooked. Limit your food intake which SHOULD be and ONLY be 4 times a day. Do never skip meals. Take a heavy breakfast. Avoid sedentary life/night watching/junk foods. Please follow the above for next 4 weeks and revert for further treatment.

What Are The Causes Behind Heavy Eyes?

MCh - Plastic & Reconstructive Surgery, DNB (Plastic Surgery)
Cosmetic/Plastic Surgeon, Aurangabad
What Are The Causes Behind Heavy Eyes?

The skin around the eyes is usually one of the first areas to show signs of aging. There are four noticeable changes that occur around our eyes as we get older. These are:

  • Sagging upper eyelids
  • Eye bags
  • Puffiness
  • Scleral show

There are many causes for these conditions and they affect each person differently. While some people show signs of aging early, others continue to look youthful for longer.

Let's take a look at four common causes for our eyes to show signs of aging:

  1. Loss of fat and bone tissue: As we age, the fat in our facial muscles begins to clump up and shifts downwards. As this happens skin begins to sag. The loss of fat is also accompanied by a loss in bone tissue. This makes the skin under the eyes sag further as they lose their underlying support. A loss of fat and bone tissue also leads to hollow surfaces on the skin which results in dark circles.
  2. Loss of collagen: Collagen is a protein that gives the skin its strength and structure. It is also important in the production of new skin cells. Collagen production is affected by a number of factors such as exposure to UV radiation, smoking and high sugar intake. While these are controllable factors, one uncontrollable factor that affects the production of collagen is aging. As the number of candles on our birthday cakes increases, the production of collagen reduces. With the loss of collagen, skin becomes thinner and veins become more visible. This also results in a thinner epidermis that makes fine lines appear and causes wrinkles around the eyes.
  3. Loss of elasticity: Along with collagen the other protein responsible for the firmness of skin is elastin. Elastin helps the skin return to its original state after being stretched or pinched. As we grow older, the production of elastin is also reduced. This loss of elasticity is visible around the eyes as skin begins to droop. The eyelid muscles are also one of the most used muscles in our body. We use them unconsciously every time we open and close our eyes, squint, wink etc. As the amount of elastin is reduced the eyelid skin no longer returns to its normal state every time it is used. Thus it triggers the appearance of wrinkled skin around the eyes.
  4. Weak muscles: Muscles also grow weaker as we get older. This causes the fat sacks to protrude through the skin leading to bags under the eyes and puffiness. A weak levator muscle responsible for lifting the upper eyelids can also cause the eyelid to appear droopy. If you wish to discuss any specific problem, you can consult a cosmetic-plastic-surgeon.
