Gaining weight is often more difficult and time consuming than weight loss. Often one ends up with wrong food choices when it comes to weight gain thinking we just have to eat to gain weight. But many times it does not help gain weight and one can succumb to other disorders of the body because of faulty eating. But your description about your condition is incomplete in many aspects including any tests done and any medicines you are already taking. Just saying I want to gain weight cannot help a dietitian give you a scientific advice. Hi lybrate-user firstly, start doing surya namaskar in morning and start eating triphla chooran (natural medicine) in morning empty stomach with luke warm water. Start a fruit dieting every alternative day, means you have to eat fruits every alternative days & normal fruit every other alternative days. Avoid late night dinners and try to eat nothing after sunset. Sit in vajrasana after every meal you eat for 10 minutes. Walk atleast 30 min in morning.

Dear, there are methods by which you can gain some centemetres of height. 1. Follow these exercises regularly and you get the goal of height gain: * first stand straight bare foot on floor, then raise your arms upwards then raise your heels of foot with breathing in, try to stand on heels for 10-12 seconds and slowlylower down your heels back on the floor and breath outthe air. Repeat this exercise 5-8 times in morning. *sit on the floor, stretch you legs together so that both foot touch each other. Now raise your arms upwards together with back straight, now move your hands towardstoes of feet and touch them. Your forehead touching your knees. Slowly revert back the arms and move back arms in normal position. Repeat this exercise 2-4 times daily. * firststand bare foot on flat surface, now move your heels upwards and raise your arms up. Start walk on the front part of feet with heels upwards. Walkatleast 8-10 steps. Repeat this exercise for 2-3 times in a day. 2. Take 300 ml of rich cream milk, 200 gm of cheese and 2-3 eggs regularly. It will definitely give boost to your bone growth. 3. Sit in sun rays for atleast 8-10 minutes in morning of evenings when the sun rays are not so strong. It will help you by getting adequate quantity of vitamin-d. 4. The growth and height iscontrolled by growth hormone whichis secreted by pituitary gland situated in the brain. So take meditation and have a stressfree lifestyle. Take 6-8 hours of sleep daily. Meditation makes your pituitatry gland healthy and working properly. 5. You can also adopt the surgical techniques which helps you gaining desired height.

Dear lybrate user, it appears that you are very sad, frustrated and feeling hopeless for something in your life. Suicide is not the solution to any problems in life. If you try to commit suicide and if you do not succeed you will be in greater trouble. If you succeed, you will create problems for your loved ones who will be left behind. Please consult a counsellor who will help you in this difficult situation. Presently, you are not able to think rationally. The counsellor will give you a different perspective about your life and also will help you to explore a number of options, so that you can move ahead in life. Take care.

Take 3 cup green tea daily (jasmine flavour). Have diet rich in fruits vegetable salads & multigrain aata roti avoid rice, deserts, and fried stuffed. Drink 2-3 liters water in a day. Go for 45 minute brisk walk daily

Dear, if you tired very fast and feeling weakness. Then you will definitely recover from weakness by following these very useful tips. * you should take proper balanced diet first. That means you have to take vegetables, milk, chapattis or rice, butter / cream, cereals (daals) or cheese every day. Very important thing, do not miss or skip your meals at any cost and take meals on time. * proper 6-8 hours sleep is very important. If your sleep is less than 6 hours, then you feel tired very early. So complete your sleep. * do breathing execises daily in morning & evening. Just sit down in peaceful place, close your eyes, take deep and long breaths in and out. Do it atleast for 10-15 minutes daily. You can also do pranayams like anulom vilom for better results. *take a walk, in first walk normally for 10-15 minutes for 15 days. You can do it on treadmill also. * you can take ashvagandha churn of baidyanath 1 teaspoon with milk daily for 2 months atleast to get your strength back. * check out your haemoglobin level in 3 months, if it is low you get tired early. So get treatment of low haemoglobin (anemia). If you have any disease like asthma /diabetes / hypertension, then get complete treatment of them. * avoid all fast foods and habit of smoking or drinking. You surely get great strength and recover from weakness by following these important things.

Hello,take homoeopathic medicine Berberis Aquifolium 30 (4drops in little amount of water) thrice a day for a week and update with the feedback. *clean your skin gently with a mild face wash removing all dirt or make-up. Wash many times a day with plain water. *avoid touching your face with your hands or fingers. *make a habit of 8-10 glasses of water in a day. *avoid stress and anger. *avoid harsh skin products. *Avoid very oily, spicy and sugary foods. *Include fruits, raw vegetables and fresh vegetable juices in your diet.

I am going through severe depression. Experience severe heaviness in the head. Experience extreme sadness, Crying,Don't feel like eating inspite of being hungry. Feel suffocation. Not able to take head bath or bath. Can't lie down due to heaviness and suffocation. Can't sleep at night. Experience a heat wave in body. Can't concentrate. Har cheez ko Dekh kar ghabrahat hoti hai even a beautiful scenery. No happiness at all in life. Can't decide. Small little things also making me depressed. Getting a feeling What is my life? Why am I here in this world? What am I doing? I have no purpose. There is nothing in my life. It has ended. Y am I even living. I should better die. Getting very strong suicidal tendencies and urge to commit it. Fear that I might do anything though I am controlling myself a lot. I get irritated due to this and argue. My stomach gets upset and I get a feeling of frequent urination. I feel lost too like dunno where I am going due to this. please help as I really want to get out of it as soon as possible.

Dear lybrate-user, You seem to be having a major depressive disorder. It can be due to a hormonal or medical or drug related cause. I need to know about your age, medical illnesses, drugs you are taking and many more details to diagnose. Please consult a psychiatrist nearby and get diagnosed She/he may request few blood tests to find out other age related medical diseases. If they are NORMAL, she/he may prescribe you with a tablet of antidepressant for few months. The dose will be changed according to your improvement and side effects of the tablets. It might take 3-6 weeks for you to improve and be active like few years back. Still you need to take those tablets for many months. Remember it is treatable.
