I am 26 years old bachelor working girl. I am facing back ache due to muscle spain. I am just doing light exercise and applying fast relief gel. It gets worse when I wake up from bed. I require support to get up. Can I go for physiotherapy? Does it have any side effects?

Apply Hot Fomentation twice daily. Avoid bending in front. Postural Correction- Sit Tall, Walk Tall. Extension Exercises x 15 times x twice daily - lying on tummy, take left arm up for 3 seconds, then bring it down, right arm up for 3 seconds, bring down. Bring right leg up, hold for 3 seconds, bring it down. Then right leg up and hold for 3 seconds and bring it down. Repeat twice a day- 10 times.

I am 63 years old, I am having knee pain in both legs since 2 years please suggest me what I have to do come out of this problem.

This could be due to oa knee &/or obesity. Physiotherapy along with medicines will help. Do knee exercises. It may have to be further investigated rule out diabetes & vit. D deficiency or any other metabolic disorder. Sleep on a hard bed with a soft bedding on it. Any way take bio d3 max 1tab odx10days ibuprofen 200mg od & sos x 5days make sure you are not allergic to any of the medicines you are going to take. Contact me again, if needed.

My grandmom had a lump in her left breast & it got operated (removed) around 8 years ago & she is having severe knee pain from many years. Now her left arm has swollen badly which pains her kindly suggest treatment either homemade or else which would help in reducing her swollen arm & reasons why she is facing so much problems. Thanks.

Quadriceps exercises- lie straight, make a towel role and put it under the knee, press the keen against the role, hold it for 20 secs. Repeat 20 times twice a day. This will help relieve some pain. Core strengthening exercise- straight leg raised with toes turned outward, repeat 10 times, twice a day. Hams stretching- lie straight, take the leg up, pull the feet towards yourself, with a elastic tube or normal belt. Repeat 10 times, twice a day.

Do stretching exercise if it work then ok otherwise tk physiotherapy treatment for 7 days. Avoid long sitting and toward bending.
