This is a general strain due to excessive walking or standing and for this you can follow these measures: one keep a pillow right under the knee while sleeping, next is you can keep ice in the painful area for about 5--10 minutes. One time you can do hot water fermentation that would help to reduce the muscle strain.

Generalised body pain and neck pain could be due to problems with muscles, or arthritis, fibromyalgia, thyroid problems and due to defeciencies like vit d and b12. Incorporate a balanced diet along with exposure to sunlight in early morning and mild exercises like walking or aerobics. Maintaing proper posture is also essential. If it persists visit a physician who may order blood tests to rule out certain conditions.

Hello. It can be general stress issue. Try do get few sessions of Physiotherapy .to soften that tighten side. And, keep doing exercises for knee strengthening.

I had an ACL reconstruction in my left leg 5 months ago. I use the knee brace while walking. After how much time I can walk and do sports (not high intensity only running, rope skipping and taking) as normal as before injury? Sometime I feel pain while sleeping down on stairs.

you normally wont need a brace after ACL reconstruction . Some surgeons would prefer to use it though. But 5 months down the line - brace is not indicated. If you have completed your physio exercises (closed chain exercises) then jogging wouldnt be a problem. however you have to avoid contact sports for atleast 9 months

Irregular periods may create leg pain. Address such issue. Irregular periods may be due to overweight, hormonal imbalance, stress, lack of physical activity, having too much of fat contents. Check for above issues and get proper advice or treatments. For vaginal infection have lemon or mosambi juices regularly, it's for you also. Follow hygienic sexual life and hygenic inner wears. Walk atleast 30 minutes per day for you both. * your weight is also seem to be more it may also create issues. Thank you bro. Wish you a health baby soon.

Ankylosing Spondylitis - How To Know You Are Suffering?

Ankylosing spondylitis refers to a form of arthritis that affects the spinal column. This condition causes the bone vertebrae to fuse together leading to a rigid spine. Depending on the extent of the damage, this could result in mild changes or in a stooped posture. Although the cause of this disease is not known, it is said to be passed down from one generation to another through a gene called the HLA-B27. This gene is also linked to spondylitis.

Ankylosing spondylitis cannot be cured, but with treatment, the pain and stiffness associated with it can be managed. Along with medication, physical and occupational therapy is a must when treating this disease. In some cases where the disease has caused severe deformities, surgery may also be recommended. However, an early diagnosis can also help prevent significant deformity.

A physical exam and an X-ray are the key factors used to confirm a diagnosis of Ankylosing spondylitis. Some of the symptoms associated with this disorder are:

  1. Pain and stiffness: Everyone complains of a backache at some point or the other but a persistent lower back ache could be a sign of something serious. Spondylitis often starts in the sacroiliac joints and hence the lower back, buttocks and hips are the first to be affected. Pain that lasts for more than three months should not be ignored as it could be a sign of Ankylosing spondylitis.
  2. Bony fusion: This condition causes an abnormal growth of bones in the spinal column. This can lead to the fusing of bones in the spine. The bones of the neck, back and hips are most affected by this bone fusion. While this can affect a person’s mobility it can also cause complications. For example, the fusing of the ribs to the spinal column or the breastbone can restrict the expansion of the chest while breathing.
  3. Pain in ligaments and tendons: Apart from the bones, this condition also affects a person’s tendons and ligaments attached to the bones. For example, pain in and around the heel may be caused by tendonitis.
  4. Other symptoms: The symptoms of ankylosing spondylitis are not restricted only to the joints. Hence, it is also known as a systemic disease. Some of the other symptoms exhibited by people suffering from this condition are fever, fatigue, inflammation of the eyes and a loss of appetite. Some people may also complain of lung and heart problems. If you wish to discuss any specific problem, you can consult a general physician.

Hello Neeraj, Sounds like you have a muscle spasm which happens usually of you have slept in wrong position. You can apply Volini gel gently on the muscles and do a hot water fomentation. But don't massage the muscles.

Hello. Maintain a right standing and sitting posture, keep your back always straight, avoid carrying weight on back. Hold or carry weight divided equally in both the hands or shoulders (to avoid over straining on one particular hand or shoulder). Lie down on bed on your back without pillow. Exercise: Practice Shavasana or Corpse Pose as it looks like a dead body. If practiced correctly and with full efforts, can relax every body part, relaxing not only the body but also the mind: Spread the legs one to two feet apart, the toes are turned outwards, the heels facing each other, a comfortable distance apart. Bring the arms a little away from the body, palms turned upward. Relax the neck and allow it to turn to the side if it is more comfortable. Close the eyes and focus the attention on the body, breathing normally. Medication: Take homoeopathic medicines - Arnica 200 and Rhus Tox. 200 - take both of them thrice daily for 1 week. Also, apply Schwabe's Topi-Arnica and Topi MP Gel on the affected area in circular motions gently thrice a day. Get back to me thereafter.
