Dear lybrate user with the limited amount of information provided it appears that you are having gastritis. The first and foremost treatment of which is life style modification like regular exercise, diet modification as advised and liberal fluid intake. Try having small frequent meals, avoid tea/coffee/carbonated drinks, avoid chilli, stop smoking and consuming alcohol if you do. Hope this solves your query. Try with these life style measures first.

Bladder Tumor and Its Common Causes

MBBS, MS - General Surgery, DNB - Urology
Urologist, Delhi
Bladder Tumor and Its Common Causes

The bladder is a hollow storage organ that collects urine from the kidneys and stores it until it can be passed out of the body through the urethra during the process of micturition or urination. It has a thin inner lining of cells called urothelial cells and a thick muscular wall, which exerts pressure to push the urine out of the body.

Causes of Bladder Tumors

In most cases, the bladder tumor develops on the inner layer due to a combination of some of the following factors.

1. Hereditary: A strong family history of cancer predisposes a person to cancer.
2. Gender: Men are 3 times more prone for bladder cancer than women.
3. Ethnicity: White people are more prone for bladder cancer black people.
4. Smoking: Smokers develop bladder cancer 2-6 times more frequently than non-smokers. cigarettes contain toxic, carcinogenic substances which reach the kidney and are stored in the bladder, leading to their damage.
5. Occupational hazards: Some workplaces have a higher likelihood of causing bladder cancers, especially dye and rubber industries. The effects can be damaging, and the person may develop cancers years after the exposure has happened.
6. Recurrent bladder infections: In some people, this can also lead to bladder cancer in the long run.

Types of Bladder Tumor

Depending on the extent of the cancerous spread, it can be of two types:

1. Non-muscle-invasive bladder tumors: The tumor spread is limited to the inner part of the bladder (urothelial cells)
2. Muscle-invasive bladder tumor: The tumor has spread to the thick muscular outer layer. This is more advanced and prognosis is poor compared to the noninvasive type.

The most common and diagnostic symptom of bladder cancer is the presence of blood in the urine, known as hematuria. This will be intermittent and happens whenever the tumor bleeding happens. Other symptoms include pain in the lower abdomen and frequent urination.

Diagnosis

From the most noninvasive to the most invasive diagnostic test, these include:

1. Urine microscopy to detect cancer cells in the urine
2. Cystoscopy A tube inserted into the urethra to look into the inner wall of the bladder is highly diagnostic
3. Ultrasound, CT Scan, and biopsy can also be further used to identify severity of the tumor.

Treatment

Once the tumor is diagnosed, treatment would depend on the severity of the tumor. For both invasive and noninvasive tumors, definitive therapy is surgery, known as transurethral resection of the bladder tumor (TURBT). The cancerous bladder tissue is removed through a cystoscope as done for diagnosis. The bladder is then flushed with chemotherapy agent to kill any residual cancer cells in the bladder. This is then followed by BCG vaccine, which is again done 1 to 4 weeks for several months to avoid recurrence. In some cases, radiotherapy may also be included.

What is hyperacidity?

Gallstones are hardened deposits of digestive fluid that can form in your gallbladder. Your gallbladder is a small, pear-shaped organ on the right side of your abdomen, just beneath your liver. The gallbladder holds a digestive fluid called bile that's released into your small intestine. Gallstones range in size from as small as a grain of sand to as large as a golf ball. Some people develop just one gallstone, while others develop many gallstones at the same time. All cases of gallstones are not required to be operated upon. Homeopathy has specific medicines for the treatment of pathological gall bladder. They should first be treated with homeopathic medicines. Those cases that do not respond to the oral homeopathic treatment or get complications are to be treated surgically. Patients sometimes fear that the presence of stones in the gall bladder for a long time may cause cancer. This idea is totally a misconception. Some of Homoeopathic medicines used for gallstone treatment are Lycopodium, chelidonium, Carduus marianus, Pulsatilla, calcarea carb, chelidonium, etc  Medicine should be selected on the basis of symptom similarity only to get the complete cure.

dear, all these symptoms are due to Constipation constipation is due to an incorrect lifestyle and irregular eating patterns, not taking enough fluids, sedentary lifestyle. -Foods that are heavy and difficult to digest, as well as oily, spicy, fried, and junk foods are the culprits. Eating food in a disturbed atmosphere or in front of the television and being awake late at night all lead to bowel disturbance. --Psychological factors like stress, anxiety, fear, jealousy, and sorrow also play an important role. DIET & LIFESTYLE ADVICE: Increase intake of fiber, especially fruits and cooked vegetables. An Apple or Pineapple/Pomegranate each day is helpful.  Drink 7-8 glasses of lukewarm water each day. Take daily morning and evening walks for at least 20-30 minutes each. Eat whole grains /nuts/sprouts and Muesli in breakfast Avoid refined foods like white flour, bread, pasta, pizza, white rice,or high protein foods like cheese, meat and cold foods like ice cream or chilled drinks  Take meals in a relaxed and calm atmosphere. The food should be warm and freshly -prepared, as cold food slows the digestive power. Take 30 ml/6 tsp of syp Duphalac thrice daily after meals with lukewarm water. Soak 3-4 dried figs after washing them overnight in water. Eat them first thing in the morning,

I HAVE ULCERS IN MY STOMACH AND DUDUONEM and I'm taking zintec150 and pantapozole tablets but usse koi farak nahi to btayie ab main kya karu.

LCPS, BAM&S

Ulcers in stomach is common occurrence nowadays. But if you are not responding to treatment then you may have to undergo endoscopy to confirm diagnosis. Alternatively you can continue treatment for few days more. Peptic ulcer responds well to latest anti-ulcer drugs. Concurrently you will have to stop tea-coffee-alcohol, spicy food, and lead a quiet life. Weekly rest for two days is also essential. Try a second opinion also.

My mother age 51 yrs old and she is suffering from schizophrenia since 12 yrs. She has stone in her gallbladder. so is it right to operate or will operation be worse for her condition?

Reparenting Technique, BA, BEd
Psychologist, Bangalore
Of course it is okay to operate her for the kidney stone. The doctors will know what medication to use that will not have any adverse reactions when operating her. So if there are no other medical conditions to make it difficult, I see no problems for the surgery. Anyway the surgeon will need to be informed about her condition and the medication she is on, and you can get further information from him or her to allay all your fears.

MS - General Surgery

You may be having fissure in ano, which happens due to hard stool and tight sphincter, so you need to be examined by surgeon and proctoscopy to be done, by the time keep your stool soft by taking plenty of water orally and syp cremaffin 3 to 6 tsf hs use ointment lox anally before defecation to reduce pain. If it is a fissure than sphincter relaxing ointment may be added, and surgery is the final answer if not treated by medicine.

DHMS (Diploma in Homeopathic Medicine and Surgery)

I have 7 mm gall stone in my gall bladder since from 2 years. Gall stone is not going what should I do.
Gallstones can be cured with medicines which are combination of herbal and homeo. There will no such need to undergo surgery or operations. You can connect with me and I can provide you with treatment by which you can get cured with our medicines only. The medicines are combination of herbal and homeopathic only. I will suggest you to avoid surgery there is no need of it. You need to take medicines that can help in removing them naturally such as our medicines combination of herbal and homeo that will help in removing stones. Gall bladder gets diseased due to an unhealthy diet and lifestyle. This leads to an imbalance of the acid-alkali balance in the body which causes the cholesterol to precipitate in the gall bladder leading to stone formation. Over time, these may get infected and lead to an acute inflammation, pain, fever etc. A stone may move ahead into a narrow passage or the duct and get stuck leading to severe agony. The safest and way that should be used to remove gallstones is removing it naturally, not just remove gallstones from gallbladder but also remove the cause of gallstones.
