What types of fever.

CCEDM(DIABETES), MD - Internal Medicine, MBBS
General Physician,
What types of fever.
Fever is not considered medically significant until body temperature is above 100.4 F (38 C). Fever serves as one of the body's natural defenses against bacteria and viruses which cannot live at a higher temperatures..Also, the body's defense mechanisms seem to work more efficiently at a higher temperature -Fevers of 104 F (40 C) or higher may be dangerous and demand immediate treatment The following medications may be used at home for mild to moderate fever : -Acetaminophen (dolo-650 mg) twice or thrice can be used to lower a fever . Aspirin should not be used for fever in children or adolescents or during a viral illness. -An individual with a fever should be kept comfortable and not overdressed. Overdressing can cause the temperature to rise further.wear loose fitting clothes. -Tepid water (85 F [30 C]) baths are a home remedy that may help bring down a fever -The body should be cooled with a wet sponge. -A fever can cause anyone to become very dehydrated. Drink plenty of fluids.. Have citrus fruits, particularly Vitamin C rich ones like mausami,Amla juice etc. -Take light and easily digestible home cooked meals during fever..avoid outside food -Wash your hands frequently every day with soap and warm water f especially before meals, or after you have returned from a public place or used public transport. -Further therapy depends on the cause of fever like urinary infection/typhoid or malaria/dengue infection and the accompanying symptoms that need to be investigated and treated accordingly

Sir my friend immune system is not working so what should we do to increase his immune system.

PDDM, MHA, MBBS
General Physician, Nashik
A good healthy diet is fundamental to good health and a strong immune system. A majority of your diet should be made up of unprocessed, natural foods such as fresh fruits, vegies, legumes, wholegrains, nuts and seeds. Having a well-balanced diet will supply you with all the essential nutrients your body needs for a healthy immune system such as zinc, vitamin a and c, selenium and iron.

BHMS
Homeopath, Gurgaon
The foremost thing to do is avoid exposure which is not possible to 100% use wet cloth for dusting furniture at home. Do not keep carpets as they gather a lot of dust. Take steam daily before going to bed. You can get permanent relief with homeopathic constitutional treatment.

I think is all due to lack of fitness in you. Just do morning brisk- walk/treadmill for atleast 60 minutes daily. Take balance diet and on time daily No food from outside - only home made food Take good sleep Avoid sedentary life/night watching/too much exposure to mobile/laptops etc Take Nux vom 30 - twice daily for next 2 weeks and give a feedback. Do not take unnecessary medicines as like Omega 3-fish oil etc.

Hi, yes, of course. You can increase the sperm count, share your reports with me first. Take homoeopathic medicine - schwabe's damiaplant/ thrice daily for 4 weeks. Diet and management: - eat many vegetables and whole grains, and buy organic foods when possible. Drink plenty of water. -reduce or eliminate junk food and switch to a diet low in fats, and high in protein. -increase your intake of foods rich in vitamin c (bell peppers, dark leafy greens, kiwifruit, broccoli, berries, citrus fruits, tomatoes, peas, and papayas) and antioxidants (cabbage, broccoli, asparagus, avocados, beetroot and spinach, nuts like pecans, walnuts, hazelnuts, pistachio, almonds, cashew nuts, peanut butter). -take in plenty of mineral zinc (walnuts, beans, oysters, beef, and chicken, beans, nuts, certain types of seafood such as crab and lobster, whole grains, fortified breakfast cereals, and dairy products). It's associated with increased semen volume, sperm count, and testosterone levels. -amino acids, traces of which can be found in meats, fruits, and vegetables, are believed to increase sperm count and keep the sperm from clumping. -folic acid (vitamin b9) found in cereals, green leafy vegetables, legumes, and orange juice may contribute to an increase for semen. -spend significant time in the sun so your body can synthesize vitamin d, and eat plenty of yogurt, skim milk, and salmon to boost your calcium intake. -include goji berries, ginseng, pumpkin seeds, walnuts, asparagus, bananas in your diet. -certain lifestyle habits, which stress your body and immune system, will lead to a lower sperm count. Refrain from smoking and alcohol in moderation. -stress can interfere with the hormones needed to assist in sperm production. -keep your weight in check. Being too large or too small can affect hormonal balance. Too much estrogen or too little testosterone will have a negative impact on your sperm count. -get a full 8 hours of sleep every night when you're working on upping your sperm count. -regular exercising keeps you fit and healthy, so don't forget to do it. Practice pranayam regularly for half an hour preferably in a garden early in the morning. Not to do these exercises within 4 hours after meals. One can have meals not within 15 minutes after finishing these exercises. These exercises are good for gaining and maintaining good health. Also, practice pelvic floor exercise or kegel exercise, consists of repeatedly contracting and relaxing the muscles that form part of the pelvic floor. In order to locate your pelvic muscles try to stop and begin the flow of urine as using the bathroom. You can perform kegel exercises with the empty bladder as exercising pelvic muscle with the full bladder might result in urinary tract infections.
