lybrate-user, To control blood glucose following things need to be adhered to: 1) Avoid sweets completely, 2) No deep fried foods, 3) No junk foods, 4) No pastries and bakery items, 5) No colas, no alcohol and no red meat. 6) Regular exercise for one hour or more every day 7) Maintaining normal weight lastly taking prescribed medicines regularly without missing a dose. If you want specific advice please come in a private conversation with all the details like: FBS, PP glucose levels, HbA1c%, drugs being taken with dosage, extent of daily exercise, weight and height, and diet pattern. Apply hot fomentation twice daily. Avoid bending in front. Postural correction- sit tall, walk tall. Extension exercises x 15 times x twice daily. Bhujang asana. Core strengthening exercises. Back stretching. Do the cat/cow stretch.

Hi lybrate-user. I can understand your problem. But you need to understand that your bad breath has not developed in one day so it will not go in a day treatment. You hav to take lillte extra care for the cleanliness of your mouth. For the initial treatment, you need to go for scaling procedure. After your mouth is cleaned properly, proper maintenance is required. These r few points you need to absolutely follow for dental care:- 1. Rinse your mouth properly every time after you take food. 2. Do not allow any food particles to accumulate in between your teeth. To prevent this, use dental floss. 3. Brush your teeth twice daily (morning and before night sleep) with proper brushing technique. 4. Use mouthwash. 5. If you take cigarettes or tobacco, you hav to quit it. Every 6 months you should go for a dental check up to review your problem. Thank you.

I am suffering from psoriatic arthritis, early stage please suggest me how to cure it.

Psoriatic arthritis is an autoimmune disease, meaning it occurs when the body’s immune system mistakenly attacks healthy tissue, in this case the joints and skin. The faulty immune response causes inflammation that triggers joint pain, stiffness and swelling. Triggers include hormonal imbalance, smoking, drugs, infection and many others. Treatment for psoriatic arthritis consists of twice daily moist heat or cold applications, exercises, and nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs). If there is little improvement or if there are permanent changes visible on an X-ray, then a disease-modifying antirheumatic drug (DMARD) or a biologic drug will be added to help prevent long-term joint damage. You cannot prevent this disease but can ease your symptoms and prevent long term damage by taking medication, exercising, minding your postures. Change your position at work, at home, and throughout the day. Sit and stand up straight, and don't arch your back. Good posture helps you feel better. Take break in between your work, Put as little stress on them as possible. Use larger, stronger joints when you can, instead of smaller ones.

U need to get an xray of the knee in standing position. Along with it your bmi is on borderline of being overweight. Reduction of weight will be helpful. At present go for knee strengthening exercise. Avoid squatting or sitting cross legged. Apply some local analgesic ointment on the knee. Hope this information is helpful.

In about 10–15 percent of women treated, emergency contraceptive pill changes the amount, duration, and timing of the next menstrual period. This effect is usually minor, and menstruation occurs a few days earlier or later than expected, so missed period is possible. But if you are anxious then do a home urine pregnancy test and get relieved of unnecessary anxiety.

How To Deal With Negative Thoughts About Your Body?

Today, most people’s perception of a beautiful woman is a tall, slim, fair skinned woman. However, not everyone is built with such a physique but still have a beauty of their own. As they say, beauty lies in the eyes of the beholder and if you think you are beautiful then that confidence will indeed give you the grace and elegance to be noticed. Sadly, we tend to focus more on the social perception of beauty and tend to find faults with ourselves as we try to fit into that mould. These constant negative thoughts lead to the development of emotions that range from discontentment to depression and hence are extremely unhealthy. Here are a few tips to help break out of this negative cycle:

  1. Look Out For Thinking Errors- Most people with a negative self-image tend to think along a few common lines. Recognise these thinking errors and try avoiding them to build a more positive self-image. This includes thinking only in extremes, magnifying things, turning emotions into reasons etc. Realise that thinking negatively makes it more difficult for you to achieve your goals or what you want out of life. Recognising these patterns is the first step towards accepting yourself and building your self-confidence.

  2. Stop Making Comparisons- From early childhood, we begin comparing ourselves with others. As we get older, we compare our self-image with what we see on magazine covers and billboards. Even though we know they have been digitally enhanced, we still aspire to look like them. However, each person’s physique is different and it is not possible for everyone to look like a model.

  3. Recognise Your Strengths- You may have heavy hips but at the same time, you also may have beautiful eyes. Focus on the parts of your body that you love and each time you find yourself complaining about your self-image, remind yourself of these parts. Be grateful for what you have instead of sinking into a victim syndrome.

  4. Look Out For Triggers- Find out what triggers negative thoughts in you and stay away from them for a while. For some people, this may be in the form of magazines while for others it may be certain TV shows or even the company they keep. Surround yourself with positive imagery and positive people who will support you and uplift you instead of simply sympathising with you and letting you believe that you are a victim. If you wish to discuss about any specific problem, you can consult a doctor.

1.Take bland diet, Avoid foods which cause acidity like spicy, oily, fatty and junk foods, onion, garlic, citrus fruit, tomato etc 2..Have proper Breakfast, Don’t skip or postpone your meal, Take home made food, Avoid food and water from outside, 3.Eat smaller meals at frequent intervals like 5-6 meals per day, and don't overeat. 4.Drink plenty of water. Take your meal regularly and timely. Avoid fasting, Don’t skip your breakfast. 5. Stop smoking, consumption of alcohol and tobacco, excess tea or coffee if you are having, 7. Avoid stress 8. Take one tablet of pan40 in the morning before breakfast daily for few days. 9.Consult me for further advice

CONSTIPATION:is due to an incorrect lifestyle and irregular eating patterns, not taking enough fluids,sedentarylifestyle.Foods that are heavy and difficult to digest, as well as oily, spicy, fried, and junk foods are the culprits. Eating food in a disturbed atmosphere or in front of the television and being awake late at night all lead to bowel disturbance. Psychological factors like stress, anxiety, fear, jealousy, and sorrow also play an important role. DIET & LIFESTYLE ADVICE: Increase intake of fiber, especially fruits and cooked vegetables. An Apple or Pineapple/Pomegranate each day is helpful. Drink 7-8 glasses of lukewarm water each day. Take daily morning and evening walks for at least 20-30 minutes each. Eat whole grains /nuts/sprouts and Muesli in breakfast Avoid refined foods like white flour, bread, pasta, pizza, white rice,or high protein foods like cheese,meat and cold foods like ice cream or chilled drinks Take meals in a relaxed and calm atmosphere. The food should be warm and freshly -prepared, as cold food slows the digestive power. Take 30 ml/6 tsp of syp Duphalac thrice daily after meals with lukewarm water. Soak 3-4 dried figs after washing them overnight in water. Eat them first thing in the morning,

Hello, I am giving you few advices for peaceful sleep Kindly follow advises given below: 1. strict to sleep time schedule 2. Do regular Physical activity 3. Regular meditation/ yoga 4. avoid Tea coffee after 7 pm 5. you can take bath at bedtime 6. Avoid daytime sleep 7. You can use alarm and gradually reduce your waking time by 15 minutes
