Hi doctor one of my doctor asked to do sperm test, because he has psoriasis will it effect pregnancy. And my husband is saying Test is taken after 18 hours after sperm ejaculation, which should be done after 3-10days after ejaculation Test report Quantity 1.2ml. Color. Milky white. Ovarian cancer is the most common cancer to affect the female reproductive system. The exact cause of ovarian cancer is not yet known and the risk factors involved are numerous, the most prevalent of which are genetic defects and hereditary problems.

The symptoms of ovarian cancer are not always clear and range from pelvic and abdominal pains to irregularities in the menstrual cycle. Women beyond the age of 50 are most at risk of developing this type of cancer and the risk factor increases in case of family history.

Prevention of  Ovarian Cancer

There is no sure shot way of preventing ovarian cancer. Some factors such as genetics cannot be controlled at all. There are, however, ways to take precaution against it through some simple lifestyle choices. A few of those ways are as follows:

Eat a healthy balanced diet which is rich in all the nutrients, vitamins and minerals that the body requires for boosting and maintaining immunity.

Exercise regularly and stay active. Maintaining fitness is an important aspect of preventing the onset of all sorts of diseases and disorders.

Go for frequent health checkups and make regular consultations with your gynaecologist so as to ensure early detection of the problem.

Another notable way of avoiding ovarian cancer is taking birth control pills which are known to reduce the risk levels. However, studies have shown that there are other health risks associated with taking birth control pills and hence you should always consult a gynaecologist for a proper prescription.

Hi lybrate-user 1]water- think of water as a food group in your diet. Always carry a bottle of water in your bag to keep yourself hydrated as well as active throughout the day. Sometimes we don't realise that we just need a glass of water and instead think that we are hungry, so drinking water frequently will save you from overeating but avoid roadside vendors for juices and unpacked water. 2] breakfast- never miss your breakfast even if you are in a hurry, it should be the heaviest and the healthiest meal of the day as it not only boosts up metabolism but also increase concentration levels and charge your body for the day ahead, moreover it will drag you away from unhealthy eating on the way to your office. 3]avoid eating at late night -responding to official emails and calls may demand your time but that does not make you eligible for snack reward, especially avoid coffee and caffeine-containing colas for peaceful and sound sleep. 4] avoid sugary drinks while socialising, read labels carefully and look for latent names of sugar like maple syrup, corn syrup, cane juice, glucose etc. Also, avoid processed and prepackaged foods to cut back on salty snacks. Sugar and salt are the main culprits for giving us bigger waistlines and, therefore, threat to our hearts, not only this processed food may result in constipation. Some food suggestions for breakfast; egg whites or low-fat cheese multigrain bread or roll fresh fruits tea or coffee with skimmed milk or missi roti curds fruits or idli sambhar fruits some food suggestions for meals salad with fat-free dressing soup veggie broth sandwiches whole grains lean meats like fish n chicken seasonal and regional veggies chappati steamed brown rice dals and pulses - sprouted or cooked avoid desserts or take small portion of it some low-calorie alternative foods chappati is better than parantha steamed rice is better than pulao replace fried veggies with steamed veggies try grilled chicken rather than butter chicken fried eggs can be replaced with boiled eggs lemon dressing is better than salad oil dressings like mayonnaise fruits instead of fruit juices would be a great choice why not try buttermilk instead of squash replace processed cheese with cottage cheese lifestyle modifications avoid alcohol quit smoking go for medical check-ups on regular basis exercise, exercise and exercise, at least, 5 times a week join dance or yoga class keep smiling, sleep early to rise early.

Pfa CBC LFT pancreatic report. Some enzymes are high. I hv no fever or other symptoms. Taking alpha luv syrup. I often drink n smoke bit has stopped.

High liver enzymes indicate liver problem which is due to consumption of alcohol. Stop taking alcohol and take hepato protective drugs after consulting physician. Avoid taking oily/fatty/junk food. Take bland diet.

Dear Doctor Warm greetings Our daughter born in Dec 2012 has been facing constipation since last 2.5 years. She poops every 4-6 day and only post suppository. We tried various laxatives as prescribed by paediatrics but no results. Tried homeopathy and Ayurved as well with no results. Since this year Feb, staring feeding her with banana, two daily but it could not be followed as daily routine as being child she refuse to eat. Pls guide us Regards.

U have to work and make an effort to solve this problem. Not difficult but not easy also 1.Is he regularly taking some medicine for any disease. 2 give stool softener for at least 2 weeks in proper dose 3 .high fiber diet - more fresh fruits (like mango) and vegetables like broccoli, peas , beans, whole grain atta and pulses and plenty of pop corn and curd 5. More fluids- water, milk. No soft drinks or packed juices .a glass of milk with sugar at night before sleeping 5 .probiotics 6. Regular and fixed toilet time- first thing in the morning. Sit at least for 10 mts 7. Regular meal timings. 7. No spicy/ fried/ processed / junk food/ fatty foods 8.Physical activity – daily out door activity for 30 – 60 mts 9 no vitamin supplement 10. Deworming good luck.

When does a person get infected from AIDS. Is it mandatory to wear condom during first time sex to avoid getting infected from AIDS. Or as per your recommendation of having sex 12 to 16 days before next mensuration cycle begins can actually prevent us from getting infected from AIDS if not using a condom. Timing of sex in respect to days after menstruation may help to prevent Pregnancy that can not help to prevent HIV infection. To prevent HIV infection each and every time you need to wear condom.

No need to stop and it is good. People wrongly believe that masturbation is a bad habit, or sin and it causes loss of energy and many side effects can occur. All these are myths and it is a safe act to give vent to sexual drive in men who cannot do sex. People fear if they have adverse effect on marriage or that their energy is wasted and such many funny misbeliefs are going around and all are not true. One can do as many times as he feels and health or energy is not affected or there will be no effect on marriage Masturbation is the self-stimulation of the genitals to achieve sexual arousal and pleasure, usually to the point of orgasm (sexual climax). It is commonly done by touching, stroking, or massaging the penis or clitoris until an orgasm is achieved. Some women also use stimulation of the vagina to masturbate or use "sex toys, such as a vibrator. Just about everybody. Masturbation is a very common behaviour, even among people who have sexual relations with a partner. In one national study, 95% of males and 89% of females reported that they have masturbated. Masturbation is the first sexual act experienced by most males and females. In young children, masturbation is a normal part of the growing child's exploration of his or her body. Having sex increases your heart rate and utilizes various muscle groups, burning about 5 calories per minute. Regular sex cannot replace sessions at the gym, but a having an active, healthy sex life is a nice way to get some extra physical activity. Sexual activity helps keep levels of hormones, like oestrogen and testosterone, in check. When these hormones are out of balance, conditions like heart disease and osteoporosis may develop. When it comes to protecting heart health by having sex, more is better. One study in men showed that those who had sex at least 2 times a week were 50% less likely to die of heart disease than their less sexually active men. Sexual stimulation (including masturbation) and orgasm can help keep pain away. Both activities can reduce pain sensation and increase your pain threshold. Orgasms result in the release of hormones that can help block pain signals. Some women report that self-stimulation through masturbation can reduce symptoms of menstrual cramps, arthritis, and even headache. Hello, in general bipolar disorder (irrespective of 1, 2, 3) are not completely curable. But with proper course of medicines & lifestyle management, one can lead a very healthy & productive life. In general, we advise 5 years of continued medicines for bipolar disorder. If patient remains symptom free for 5 years, we attempt to reduce & stop medicines. If during this period, symptoms return, then medicines are continued lifelong. Hope this helps. Good luck.
