For increasing weight ...First we have to work on ur digestive system..It will do Aam pachan and will increase ur digestive power and appetite.... Mix 1 teaspoon each of cinnamon, ginger and cumin powder with honey to make a paste. Take 1 teaspoon 3 times a day.. Follow up after 1week... Drink plenty of fluids.. Avoid constipation...

Psoriasis - How it Effects Your Skin?

An often persistent and long-lasting condition, psoriasis interferes with the life cycle of skin cells and causes them to increase rapidly on the surface of the skin. These generally appear as dry, itchy and red patches of skin having thick, silvery scales.

Psoriasis can be subdivided into the following:

  1. Plaque psoriasis: The most common form, characterized by dry, red skin lesions covered with silvery scales and can be seen anywhere on the body.
  2. Scalp psoriasis: These appear on the scalp and may extend beyond the hairline.
  3. Nail psoriasis: These affect the toenails and fingernails.
  4. Guttate psoriasis: Characterized by blister-like appearances and are stimulated by bacterial infections.
  5. Inverse psoriasis: Caused by fungal infections.
  6. Erythrodermic psoriasis: Can cover the entire body with a reddish rash that may peel.
  7. Pustular psoriasis: Capable of causing chills, fever and diarrhea.

The usual signs and symptoms of psoriasis include:

  • Red, sensitive patches of skin
  • A silvery, scaly cover
  • Dry and cracked skin that may bleed when scratched or agitated
  • Tiny scaling spots (witnessed in children)
  • Persistent itching, soreness or burning sensation
  • Ridged, thickened or pitted nails
  • Stiff and swollen joints

Possible causes of psoriasis may include:

  1. Skin infections or strep throat infections
  2. Stress
  3. Skin injuries, like cuts, bites or sunburns
  4. Smoking
  5. Cold weather
  6. Chronic alcoholism
  7. Certain medications such as high blood pressure medications

Risk factors

The following factors may further increase the risk of developing the disease:

  1. Fungal and bacterial infections
  2. Family history
  3. Obesity
  4. Stress
  5. Smoking

Ayurveda and Psoriasis

Although the root cause of the disease is yet to be identified, according to traditional Ayurveda, the vitiation of Vata and Kapha causes psoriasis. As per ayurvedic principles, Vata and Kapha are the two basic energies that uphold the balance of our body equilibrium. Strong genetic predisposition, sun deprivation, and intense streptococcal infection on the upper respiratory tract can badly aggravate psoriasis. As per ayurveda, these conditions are strong enough to create several visible pathological changes that take place are mainly due to the accumulation of dooshi vishas or low potency poisons.

Uneven and unhealthy food habits, consumption of foodstuffs in the wrong combination (Example: dairy products with fish or chicken), too much intake of yogurt, black gram, seafood, sour or salted food stuffs, etc. can trigger the psoriasis inducing pathogenesis. Other catalysts that cause psoriasis includes stress, alcohol, and tobacco consumption

Psoriasis can be effectively treated through panchakarma therapies, which include ayurvedic treatment methods for the complete detoxification of the body, and successful elimination of harmful toxins from the body fluids.

A few health tips for psoriasis patients:

  1. Maintain safer distance from the possible variables that cause or aggravate psoriasis
  2. Practice yoga regularly. Yoga can lessen the intensity of psoriasis.
  3. Avoid pricking, peeling or scratching your skin.
  4. Make sure to pat your skin dry after washing, and avoid rubbing vigorously with towel or any rough cloth.
  5. Avoid artificial cleansers and use gram flour (besan flour) instead.
  6. Use cotton clothes
  7. Avoid cold water bath or immediate cleaning up right after heavy work-out, long walks, or travel.
  8. Avoid food stuffs that can cause indigestion.
  9. Avoid excessive salty and acidic food stuffs, radish, urad dal, sesame, jaggery (gur), curds, fish and other sour food stuffs that can trigger psoriasis.

Dear , anger and aggression are emotions. Emotions should not be controlled. You should let the emotions go out of your body. But you can teach yourself or learn how not to get emotional. Now seasons of viral infections. pl. Go for Tests..mp,cbc.urine r/m,ns1, blood c/s, After tests you can take antibiotics by doctor. You can take tab. Combiflaim sos , tab. Lcz-10 mg once a day. Cap. Zevit once a day. Never take asprin medicines. feel cold then cover body with warm cloths, avoid dust area, clean body, change cloths daily, change bed sheet daily, avoid stress.avoid non-veg.,avoid alcohol intake if smokes avoid also that. Cold sponging if get high fever. drink warm water, juice,green veg. Soups,lquid diets, dalia, take protein diets, tulsi leaf in tea or warm water, geloy juice, avoid cold area,cold things .i.e. ice creams, fast/junk foods, chinese foods,spicy foods, fat meal, take bed rest , You can also take tab. Tamiflu from govt. Hospitals.

Your ideal weight for your height of 6'3" for medium frame should be maximum 78 to 85 Kg. The proper approach is to keep negative balance of Calories. Work on your calorie intake with a help of a dietitian. Fix calories required. Avoid sugar, fried and junk foods. Eat in time, Keep reducing calorie intake by 330 calories. Eat more green leafy vegetables. Burn calories by exercise like running, swimming, sports etc. Keep watch on weight No shortcuts by commercial advertisements. It is to be done permanently

Dear user Beard is purely genetic make up. It could be a pituitary issue, hair follicle or their lack of, or could possible even be genetics. To make hair grow you need to stimulate, moisturize, and cleanse. Use a soft bristle scrub brush for the face and use circular motions using a eucalyptus, menthol, and/or peppermint type cleanser or lotion. The invigoration of the brush and cleanser/moisturizer will wake up that hair follicles and gives them a signal to produce.

I am facing with frequent urine problem. During routine health checkup in Ultrasound Test on 23-02-2015 In radiology report it was mentioned as Borderline Prostate size - Right renal small hyperechoic foci - Sinusfat/Calculus. Doctor suggested to take Cap Urina-0.4mg &Tab Atorec.F 20mg. I have taken these medicine for 10 days but no use. Please suggest correct medicine-

If you have urinary infection, have you done your urine culture/sensitivity? You should do that. Probably the antibiotics you are using are not effective against the infecting organism.

sedentary job, lack of nourishment from the food you are eating and inadquate sleep disturbs hormones like insulin and cortisol. The first thing to go bad is fat deposit around abdominal area. Most of the time, underlying the thyroid disorder is years of abuse of our body. Avoid all junk food and all sweet food. Low fat diet does not work for majority of people. Eat wholesome nutritious food full of fibres, good quality fat like ghee and coconut etc. Don't focus on calories but on nutritional density and diversity. Simultaneously working on exercise and diet will surely help. Best rate to lose weight is 1/2 kg per week. If that happens, it is least likely to go high again in future. You do not have to do rigorous exercise to lose weight but start with something small. Let us say 8 minute workout. Go to you tube and type 8 minute workout and you will see many options. Pick one which you like and can do. Trying to lose weight in very short time will need some form of crash diet. Even if you lose weight doing this kind of crash diet, you will get it all back within no time and all the gain will be mainly fat. Not good for your health. Be gentle and patient with yourself. Demonstrate commitment in your persistent efforts. Make comprehensive change in diet, exercise, sleep and stress in your routine. This is called lifestyle medicine. If you can not do it on your own, find some expert who can help you in this over extended period of time. Best wishes.

Hi ashok 1. Eating 5 to 6 meals a day in order to gain weight, start eating 5-6 meals a day by breaking them into parts. Eating a lot at once may cause indigestion if the body fails to absorb all nutrients. Eat in small amounts, even if you are not hungry and there will be an increase in appetite from day to day. The aim should be to have a generously portioned breakfast, lunch and dinner, as well as two to three snacks in between. 2. Start weight training if you build your muscles through weight training, it will convert the extra weight into lean body mass and also stimulate your appetite. The extra muscle increases the rate of metabolism. When you start exercising you will often experience extreme muscle soreness but it goes away in 3-5 days. 3. Load up on protein besides weight training, a protein-rich diet can help you gain mass. Eating a meal heavy in protein shortly after finishing exercise can be highly effective in adding extra pounds to your body. However, a diet focused only on lean protein is not helpful. It is important to make sure that your diet has plenty of fat in it. Eat foods rich in protein like cheese, meat, eggs, etc to gain weight in a healthy manner. 4. Workout your entire body a lot of people focus only on training the muscles on their arms, chest and shoulders and this is a grave error. Firstly, it will give you a disproportionate body; and it will make you prone to injuries. Therefore, it's important to work out the entire body for a complete and balanced look. 5. Drink your calories to reach the calorie requirement only by eating may be tough. Drinking milk, milkshakes or protein shakes with little or no sugar can be an effective way to load up on the calorie requirements. 6. Be patient and believe in yourself gaining weight quickly in a healthy manner is unrealistic. Every body type is different and it takes months to gain weight. Living healthy by eating the right diet will increase your strength. It is also important to keep following the routine even if you don't see any gains. Caution: junk food and fried foods must be avoided; although have a tendency to add more fat to your body but are very low in vitamins and minerals which are essentially required to keep you really fit. Related tip: the most powerful way to put on weight - snacking right.

Dear, the most common reason for shivering of hands while doing some work is tension or anxiety. If you have any mental stress then please learn to control it by doing yoga and meditation. Other reason can be a problem with your bp or thyroid. Please get your bp checked and get a blood test done for thyroid function. Best wishes.

Take pranacharya kasantak syrup 2-2 tsf in hot water twice a day...Take sitopaladi..praval and tankan bhasm churna with honey 3-4 times a day...take ginger black pepper and basil leaves tea.. ..gargle with hot water(salted) avoid milk...cold drinks....take hot water steam.......
