My mouth Bad breath what can I do. Who'd solution use full, I am many time using listerine but not good result.

MDS
Dentist, Guntur
Bad breath (halitosis) can be due of multitude reasons ranging from depostis (hard and soft) on teeth to upper respiratory (urt) to digestive tract lesions (ulcers, etc;). This can be evaluated by visiting a suitable dentist (periodontist). Various treatment options are available to treat this bad breath.

You should be seeing your dentist a minimum of two times a year. This is important to check the health of your gum tissue and regular x-rays to catch active decay while it?s small.

I am suffering from teeth yellowness and I brush daily but I don' t get any cure from yelloish teeth. Please give me some home remedy

MDS, BDS
Dentist, Delhi
Please get a round of scaling and polishing done by your dentist. Once that has been done, you can maintain your teeth just by regular brushing etc. If you are still not satisfied after the procedure, you can consider whitening (even home bleaching options are available for this).

Doctor, I'm having black spots on my tongue N sharp pain when eating pepper or spicy food. Sometimes I don't find sweet things sweet, so I've to double up the sugar in tea. Is it side effect of digene gel? As I've been taking it for my acid reflux. What shall I do?

Dentist, Gurgaon
Acid reflux itself can cause burning of mouth.in fever also some time patients have burning mouth and burning tongue there can be many reasons for burning tongue like vitamin deficiency. Avoid spicy food. And in most of cases burning goes away by its own in 7-10 days. If possible share pictures of tongue.

Is kissing and licking vagina of my wife is healthy. Secretions occurring in vagina can go in my mouth.

BDS, D.pharm
Dentist, Chennai
It is not healthy if you not sure about the virginal secretion of your wife. First get her blood test done and if all fine then you can do what ever you want without any fear. But yes there are many bacteria that's very bad if it enters from virgina to your mouth you may have to face those bacterial and fungal infections in your mouth later.

What exposes your teeth to abuse is not how much you eat, but how often you eat. Every time you eat, bacteria convert the carbohydrates in the food into acids that can dissolve your tooth enamel and form cavities

Hi I had rct about a month ago and it took the dentist approx 10 sittings to clean the canal and fill in. I was advised to get the capping in next 20 days. The problem is I am still facing the sensitivity problem in the same tooth. Can anyone please suggest if I need to consult some endodontist or go for the capping?

It is pericoronitis a local infection. Visit a dentist. Symptoms will subside after medication. If it reoccurs then go for removal of that wisdom tooth.

Munching foods like apples, pears, carrots or celery after brushing can help in preventing discoloration as they trigger tooth-bathing saliva which helps in keeping the teeth whiter.

I get mouth ulcers frequently and 1 week ago I got a pimple like thing in tongue. AND IT keeps on increasing in number and paining a lot.help me

MDS - Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery
Dentist, Chennai
If the mouth ulcer is causing a lot of pain, gently rub a small ice cube over the spot or rinse your mouth with ice-cold water. You could also chew on a clove bud (lavang) and direct the juice generated to the area where the ulcer is located. Clove buds are a great ingredient to cure sore throat too. To prevent the ulcerated area from getting infected, make it a point to rinse your mouth with a little salt water. Remember, this won’t make the ulcer disappear, but it can help reduce the pain. Honey is a natural humectant. It helps reduce scarring and hastens the process of new tissue growth. This, along with its anti-microbial effect ensures faster healing of the mouth ulcer. Chew a few leaves of tulsi along with some water about three to four times every day. This will help in getting rid of ulcers faster and also have a preventive action against their recurrence. Applying a little coconut oil directly onto the mouth ulcer or chewing some coconut (fresh or dry) helps reduce pain and inflammation and hence, ulcers heal faster. Mix some sugar to crushed khus-khus seeds and consume this mixture for instant relief from ulcers. You could apply a little ghee directly to the ulcerated area, or drink a glass of buttermilk two or three times every day. Mouth ulcers left untreated generally go away in a week or so; with these home remedies, you can expect faster relief. However, if you notice an ulcer in the mouth that is persistently present although it does not cause you any pain, do not neglect it or try to treat it with home remedies beyond a few days. Make it a point to see a doctor soon because often, a painless mouth ulcer is one of the earliest signs of oral cancer.

Salt mixed with pepper can be of great use when a tooth becomes extremely sensitive as both the ingredients have antibacterial, anti-inflammatory and analgesic properties.
Mix equal amounts of pepper and common salt with a few drops of water to form a paste.
Apply the paste directly on the affected tooth and allow it to sit for a few minutes.
Do this daily for several days.
