I am 27 year male having the body weight of 144. What diet should I follow to reduce the weight.
For that much weight, you need to first loose weight with diet and after loosing some kilos, you should start a work out plan. Diet: -in the morning, take one glass hot lemon water with honey 8: 00 a. M. -take light breakfast like, poha/upma/plain idli /sandwich with one glass milk10: 00 a. M. -eat one fruit like banana/melon/apple 12: 00 -have butter milk and then take your meal.(eat either steamed rice or chapati, not both and eat lesser than you normally eat.) 2: 00 p. M. -take green tea 4: 00 p. M. -eat roasted chana/ khakhra, one digestive or marie biscuit with tea/coffee/bournvita/proteinex (you may add sugar if you feel the need) 6: 00 p. M. -eat dinner like boiled vegetables/baked vegetables/soup /khichdi (idea is to take dinner 3-4 hours before bed time) 8: 00 p. M. If you are starving with this diet, you can add few more healthy foods, but keep a gap of two hours in each. You may redo the timings with the same gap, according to your schedule. If you can, start doing yoga, even if you can do it for 20 minutes, it is fine.

A sip of tea to begin the day can banish the dregs of sleep and energize you for the day ahead. Tea is not only tasty, but has a number of health benefits as well. The most basic way tea helps the body is by hydrating it. Here are a few other benefits of a cup of tea.

  1. Soothes the digestive system: It is not only for taste that the Chinese like a cup of tea after their meals. Tea, particularly herbal tea can soothe the digestive system and aid in digestion. Ginger tea can additionally fight nausea.
  2. Clearer skin: Tea is rich in antioxidants that can detoxify the body and rid it of free radicals. This in turn helps fight signs of aging such as age spots, wrinkles and fine lines. It also keeps the skin firm and prevents sun damage.
  3. Improves heart health: Drinking a cup of tea regularly can help keep your heart healthy. This is because tea is a major source of flavanoids for the body that neutralizes free radicals. This also improves blood vessel and endothelial function and regularizes cholesterol levels. Green tea is also said to lower the risk of heart attacks.
  4. Weight loss: Tea has no calories of its own, just like water it keeps the body hydrated without affecting your weight. Thus, drinking a cup of tea instead of having a snack can temporarily fill the stomach and curb hunger pangs without any calorific gain. Also, oolong and green tea are said to increase metabolism rates, which further helps in weight loss.
  5. Boost dental health: When had without sugar or honey, tea can boost your dental health. Green tea protects the body against gum disease and can lower the risk of oral cancer. However, too much tea can stain enamel and spoil your smile if you do not maintain good dental hygiene habits.
  6. Reduced stress: Cortisol is one of the leading causes of stress. Tea can help reduce the amount of cortisol produced in the body and thus help you relax and fight stress. Lowered cortical levels can also slow down the aging process.
  7. Boost immunity: Herbal tea can also help boost the functionality of the immune system. Dandelion tea is said to aid the immune system in fighting ulcers, bronchitis and pneumonia. Chamomile tea has chemical compounds that increase the production of white blood cells. Similarly, ginseng tea encourages the production of both white blood cells and interferon

Though it has a number of health benefits, like anything else, tea should not be had in excess. So, limit yourself to a cup or two a day.

I am a 26 year old female. I have backpain for last 3 months. It is in little bit right side of back bone. I consulted an ortho and he told there is a swelling in between the joint and I took pills for 2 weeks. But its still paining. What should I do. Whether I have to take some xray or scan. Pls advise me.

Sleep on a hard bed with soft bedding on it. SPRING BEDS, FOLDING BEDS OR THICK MATRESS ARE HARMFUL Use no pillow under the head. DO HOT FOMANTATION. Paracetamol 250mg OD & SOS x 5days. Caldikind plus 1tab OD x10. Do neck, back & general exercises. It may have to be further investigated. You will need other supportive medicines also. Make sure you are not allergic to any of the medicines you are going to take. If it does not give relief in 4-5days, contact me again.. Do not ignore .It could be beginning of a serious problem.

Hello,Homoeopathic medicines are less invasive and have more herbal approach towards gaining the weight. Thrice a day, half an hour before meals. 2. Calcarea phos 200, 5 drops , once in aweek , morning empty stomach for 2 weeks. 3. Mr. lybrate-user, To control blood glucose following things should be observed: 1) Take appropriate medications, as prescribed regularly without missing a single dose, 2) Take a restricted diet that gives exact calories based on ideal body weight, extent of daily exercise and blood glucose levels. 3) Try and maintain near normal weight (60 kgs), by regular exercise and diet, 4) Avoid sweets, deep fried foods, junk foods, pastries, other bakery items, 5) Consume more of green leafy vegetables, salads and permitted fruits (100 g a day) 6) Take small meals 4 to 5 times a day, total intake has to be within the recommended quantity. Ideally FBS should be closer to 100 mg, PP 150 to 160 mg & HbA1c%<6.8, for achieving very good control. Thanks.

lybrate-user, Thanks for the query. Both grapes and sabudana are very rich in carb and will increase blood glucose a lot. A smaller quantity can be taken. Unfortunately all the items used during fasting like most of the fruits will give a lot of sugar and same is the case with sabudana. Fruits may be better like apple, orange, guava, water melon, pomegranate, pear etc. Banana also is more of sugar, so a small quantity should be used. Thanks.

Jolivel 50 contain opipramol 50. I take by neurologist. My symptom is confusion. Dizziness. Stomach upset. Constipation. Fear. Fast heart rate. Doctor give me jolivel 50 .he said that I am suffering with anxiety. He told me that this antidepressant medicine start working in 6 to 8 weeks of treatment. Ibs is also related to anxiety. So please tell me that I'm on 3 weeks of medicine. What is the dite for this. I drink tea that cause acidity. Fried chicken also cause acidity. What food I take and how much time taken to recover fully with anxiety disorder. PLEASE TELL ME.

Try this. Brush twice a day. Before brushing in morning drink 3 to 4 glass of water so normal flora commensal bacteria good for gut reaches body provided you brushed at night. Tea warm and not hot only twice not more than that. Do heavy breakfast. Lunch lighter than breakfast n some snacks in evening. Dinner lighter than lunch. Gap between dinner n sleep should be atleast 2 hrs.
