Why You Should Eat Breakfast Within an Hour of Waking Up?

Whether you are running out of time or just not hungry in the morning, missing a breakfast is equivalent to a grave crime. It is particularly a big mistake if you are aiming to lose weight or avoiding gaining weight. The metabolism rate slows down while you are asleep for conserving energy, and it invariably requires a power-packed energy to restart the metabolism with a forceful vigour. Therefore, the sooner you fuel your body with a healthy breakfast, the better it is.

When should you eat?

In a report published by National Weight Control Registry, it was declared that about 78 percent of successful dieters have a wholesome breakfast every morning. The ideal time is within an hour from when you wake up because you are more plausible to eat more than needed in the latter half of the day if you do not eat anything in the morning. This will lead to unwanted weight gain and other health troubles. Furthermore, eating a moderate meal in the morning improves cognition and mood as well.

If you are not able to eat immediately after you wake up, you must at least eat something wholesome within one hour. Eating early can keep your blood sugar and insulin levels under control while boosting your metabolism. When you are waiting too long to have the first meal of the day, you will develop a habit of opting for food rich in fats and bad carbohydrates and lower in nutrient content owing to irresistible hunger.

What should you eat?

Before breakfast 1 glass of water is necessary for cleaning of stomach. The ideal first meal of the day must include a balance of carbohydrates, protein and healthy fat. It is advised to abstain from high sugar foods like cookies, pastries, donuts or sugary cereals. Instead, you can look for hard-boiled eggs, proteins, brown bread, oatmeal, muffins and fruit juices. You must also have a cupful of green tea with a few drops of lime juice squeezed over it. This will help in detoxifying your body and bring out your skin's natural beauty and glow.

I am 35 years old, had a recent sore throat and cold and after that have dried mucus in nose. It bleeds when I try to clear it. Sore throat is better but dried mucus still keeps forming and bleeding. I have used steam inhalation and nasal spray. It helps some. Do I need antibiotics or other medicines.

Hi, mostly, you would not require antibiotics here to cure your issue of dried nasal mucous. Steam inhalation, 2 to 3 times daily, should help. At the same time, I would recommend using a saline nasal spray instead of a regular allopathic one. You may use paediatrics'nasoclear' saline nasal spray 2 to 3 times daily. Do ensure to clean up your nostrils with the saline spray before you go to bed in night. Use a humidifier in the night time and restrict using acs to the extent you can. Should you be taking any anti-histamines/ anti-allergic tab/ syp, that may also contribute to your dried mucous. So, you may stop the anti-allergic medications unless recommended for long term by your physician. Instead, you may take a glass of luke warm water to which a tsp of honey, a pinch of fresh turmeric and 1 - 2 nos of black pepper (crushed) is mixed thoroughly, post dinner at bed time. Cold foods, hot/ spicy drinks/ foods be best avoided. All the very best. Take care.

Hi, Gradually and slowly decrease the frequency of using Melacare cream. Here are some tips for fairer and flawless skin: -Soak some almonds in water overnight, remove their skin in the morning and grind them. Add a teaspoon of gram fluor, one teaspoon of milk and 4 drops of lime juice. Make a paste, mix it well and apply it on your face. Regular massage gives you long lasting clear and fair skin. -Turmeric is good ingredient for skin. Make a face pack with mixture of turmeric and milk. Apply this and wash off after an hour with cold water for glowing skin. Lemon juice and glycerin work nicely for dry skin whereas fuller’s earth and turmeric are used for oily skin. -Mix papaya and honey and mash it. Apply and wash after 20 minutes. Use this face pack every other day for a naturally spotless fair skin. This pack also eliminates the sun tanning which causes patchiness on the skin and the dark spots or the pimple marks which will refrain the skin from looking spotless. -Take one tomato, grate it well and mix it with 3-4 drops of lime juice. Apply it on your face wait for 15 minutes and then rinse it off. Repeat it daily and feel the change on your face. -Mix some tomato juice with some yoghurt and mix it well. Apply on the face as a pack and wash after 30 minutes. Try this every other day for better results. Use Schwabe's Skin Care soap, apply Calendula & Aloe Vera cream immediately after bathing, apply Bakson's Suncare sunscreen 20-30 min. Before going out under the sunlight. At night, use Bakson's Papaya Pack and after washing face apply it's Fairness cream. Above all, regular exercise (yoga, gymnastic, aerobics etc), intake of healthy nutritious food, keeping a positive attitude, avoiding stress/ anger/ anxiety/ fear/ jealousy/ aggressive nature as much as possible as it affects skin, its colour and glow!

Dear , it is likely that you may have infection, stone in lower ureter, bladder outflow obstruction, anal fissure due to passage of hard faeces or not drinking enough fluids one has to differentiate between these conditions by investigations to arrive at the correct diagnosis.
