Hello, For past week i'm having pain in my stomach area and night i'm having breathing difficulty. So headache. And pain at back bone .today I feel at morning my leg and hand all cramp .

Diploma in Anesthesia, MBBS
General Physician, Hyderabad
probably you are having Hyperacidity. So to reduce the acid secretion take 2.5 -3 litres of water in the day. avoid fast food, Masala, execess chillies, toomany tea/coffee. take timely meals and keep stomach atleast 1/4 empty meaning donot take food to the full stomach. take some solid like biscuit along with tea/coffee. have some physcial activiy like morning walk/ jogging. if you are constipated get treated for that. Follow the above you will get relief. for leg cramps, sit cross legged on the floor/sofa/diwan which will give relief and when the acidity comes down your nutrition levels will increase and give relief to the cramps. all the best

After surgery of prostate cancer on 26.5. 2025, I have no control over passing urine. My under garments remain always wet. Kindly advise.

Prostatitis treatments vary depending on the underlying cause. They can include: Antibiotics. This is the most commonly prescribed treatment for prostatitis. Your doctor will base the choice of medication on the type of bacteria that may be causing your infection. If you have severe symptoms, you may need intravenous (IV) antibiotics. You'll likely need to take oral antibiotics for four to six weeks but may need longer treatment for chronic or recurring prostatitis. Alpha blockers. These medications help relax the bladder neck and the muscle fibers where your prostate joins your bladder. This treatment may lessen symptoms, such as painful urination. Anti-inflammatory agents. Nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs) may make you more comfortable. Prostate massage. This is done by your physician using a lubricated, gloved finger — a procedure similar to a digital rectal exam. It may provide some symptom relief, but doctors disagree about how effective it is. Other treatments. Other potential treatments for prostatitis are being studied. These treatments include heat therapy with a microwave device and drugs based on certain plant extracts

I suffer from premature ejaculation and that is causing a problem with my partner as she is not satisfied. What can I do to correct the situation?

BHMS
Homeopath, Sindhudurg
Tips to deal with this situation. Live a healthy lifestyle in order to maintain good arterial health. Eat two or three cloves everyday to get long lasting erections. Take finely chopped carrots and add one table of honey and half boiled egg. Take this mixture regularly to get effective results.  Your potency will be prolonged if you eat a low-fat, low-cholesterol diet, exercise regularly, don't smoke or drink and keep your stress managed along with proper homoepathic treatment..

When I think about sex or about a girl a liquid like water but some sticky comes out from my penis. Please advise me how to stop this I always get depress because of this.

Dear lybrate user. Semen seeping through penis after urination or while having sexual thoughts or while with an attractive girl or woman or while waking up in the morning etc is common and it is not a problem at all. This is a natural body procedure whereby your body tries to evacuate the stored semen. Semen is produced within your body whenever you are sexually (even slightly) excited and is stored within your body. Now this stored semen is a waste product that your body wants to throw out. This is a natural process and you don't have any control over it. I also assure you that this is never unhealthy. Take care.

I have done HIV Elisa after 11 month of vaginal intercourse and it is negative. DO I need to worry further, is the any chances of HIV now.

MBBS
General Physician,
You don't have to worry but make sure you should not have unprotected sex with infected srx workers for infection.

I have been having pricking in the stomach and abdomen for past 4 months. In the last month it has spread to other parts also almost everywhere. About two months back, I had TURP operation. Last week, endoscopy was done and yesterday Abdomen MRI was also done, which has come out normal. Any constipation relieving medicine has the reverse effect on me and it causes more constipation. (Earlier, I was not having typical constipation.) cremaffin and Movicol Powder, infact created full constipation for 3 days last week. On stopping them only I had bowels. However, Meva SR has been useful in relaxing the gut muscles and making smooth motions. The doctor is suggesting to go for colonoscopy, as last step. I need your advice if I should go for it. I am worried that this pricking thing should not reach the eye. I already had Vitrectomy operation in one of the eyes, more than an year back, when gram negative bacilli was found in it.

I have a sugar. I am taking insulin. So what I do so that I can leave insulin. Please say me in brief. I want to know its defects?

MBBS, CCEBDM, Diploma in Diabetology
Endocrinologist, Hubli-Dharwad
Mr. Lybrate-user, if you have t1 dm, then only treatment is insulin injection, no other option. If you have t2 dm and still you have been given insulin that means your diabetes must have been really in bad control. Diabetes occurs either due to lack of insulin or resistance to its action (t2 dm), or due to total absence (t1dm). Best medicine for diabetes in fact is insulin, it has no real side effects, our own islets of langerhans in pancreas produce it.

Sir I had appendicitis laparoscopic surgery 2 years back I started Gym from 3 months I getting pain in the back side and my urine color turned into yellow why like this happing.

Hand Surgery, M.S. (Orthopaedics

Dear lybrate-user the pain is not related to surgery. Gym exercises can give some pain which is relieved with ice therapy. If pain persists then see a doctor. The urine color is naturally yellow. Still to clear your doubt you can get urine examination done in Lab.

I am 30 Year old women having spine (disc) issue. According to my MRI report “Posterior and left paracentral disc extrusion at L5-S1 level superior migration causing compression on left existing nerve”. Due to this the toes of my left foot has lost power restricting dorsiflexion. There is no back pain and I am able to move and walk freely without any issue. The numbness and sensation have shown recovery after 15 days of physiotherapy. My doctor has advised for surgery but I am reluctant to go for it. My two questions are 1) Whether it is possible to get recovery without surgery? If yes what precautions should be taken? 2) I fear further damage due to this nerve compression. Whether there are chances of further damage due to this if I don’t go for surgery?

MS - Orthopaedics
Orthopedist, Chennai
Hello madam, The symptoms described by you and the MRI report corelate. It means that you have significant disc problem. It is considered as a strong indicator of surgery if you have weakness of muscle. Generally for disc related problems conservative treatment by medication and physiotherapy will work, but when muscle weakness is present, then there is high risk of progression and chances of recovery of muscle power cannot be predicted. If you recover from this problem without surgery it will be great, but have to be lucky. But if it gets worse then you may have to be only sorry. Unfortunately no test or no Surgeon can predict if someone in your position will recover or not. Ifeel the doctor who has seen you in person has more information about you than me, so my advice would be to get your self treated as per his decision. If you have any questions contact me on this platform.

Hiii, I am 25 years young champ. I am having small penis because of excessive masturbation, and night fall. please suggest me the Ayurvedic medicine for penis length increase, and night fall.

MD-Ayurveda, Bachelor of Ayurveda, Medicine and Surgery (BAMS)
Sexologist, Haldwani
Hello- Men take pride in their penis size and a shrinking penis can be a man’s worst nightmare. Being suffering from nightfall in addition to small sized penis can be frustrating and embarrassing, but it is not uncommon. One of the most common causes of penis shrinking and nightfall is excessive masturbation. Both weakness occur when certain hormones and nutrients in your body are reduced. Excessive masturbation can cause sexual exhaustion, which lowers your hormone levels and weakens your nervous system. Without these hormones and nutrients, your body’s nervous system discharges and cannot signal the parasymphathetic nerves. It can be recovered by the help of ayurvedic medications.
