Welcome to lybrate. I understand your problem. Its a common problem faces by nearly 80-85% women. Its known as premenstrual syndrome. There are medicines to help this problem but I would not suggest you take treatment if you do not have much problem. Only if it hampers your daily life you can opt for medical treatment. Height does not increase once your epiphyseal bones r fused. Check for x ray wrist bone, ask for bone age. If fusion has already occurred, (which in most probably would have already occurred at your age), then there would b no increase in ht further. You got to be happy wd your current ht. In case fusion has not occurred, then consume a high protein diet n do regular relevant exercises. Stay healthy, stay blessed.

I am a long time smoker. Have history of COPD. Experiencing consistent cough for last few months. Trying hard but not able to quit smoking. Please advice.

You must try and try again until you succeed. You have to quit cold turkey because the body and mind will torture you endlessly while attempting a reduction in smoking. The tobacco tar in cigarette smoke lines your lung with huge patches that make that portion dysfunctional. Your oxygen carrying capacity is jeopardized, and breathing is impinged on. But don’t be discouraged because it is not too late even now to reverse all the ill-effects of smoking. I don’t know what other organs could be damaged but do go for a thorough medical check-up to assess the effects of your abuse. Regarding improving your lungs, do a lot of aerobic exercise breathing through your nostrils only. Then there are a lot of deep breathing exercises in Yoga which you can learn too. Deep breathing cleanses your system and lungs and restores it to good health. Deep breathing uses the 80% of the lungs which are not normally used in normal breathing and even when exerting yourself. The greatest effect is in the lungs because this substance is processed through the respiratory system directly through the lung surface. When quitting, you must take one day at a time; though you must give up all smoking at once, and promptly. If you look too far ahead you will get discouraged and will give up. If you sit and count the number of days you have given up, that will also focus too much on achievement. You must focus on the here and now, on that day to be precise. After all quitting is not that easy due to many factors. So even if you fail one day, you must try and try again. Very few people succeed in their first attempt. Your persistence will eventually pay off. The urge to discontinue is hampered by many factors but the worst of them is the conditioning. In fact, these conditions can exist all through the day, unlike other addictions. But your desire to want to stop is the most important factor. It is important to find out about the ill-effects of smoking to have a reason that alarms you about continuing the habit. The information is really scary but true and you must remind yourself about this every day. The nicotine in tobacco smoke stimulates the heartbeat to raise the blood pressure in no time at all. So you must avoid it like the plague: it is just very bad medicine for you. In fact, it is highly toxic too. You will need to stop smoking or consuming any tobacco related items with immediate effect. You should start vigorous exercises, gradually increasing it over a period of time. Do deep breathing exercises every time you feel like smoking (try Yoga), and replace the oral urge with some healthy food substitute to satiate the need. You may also take hard candy or chew gum. If the urge is too strong, then use nicotine gums and nicotine patches, for a little while until the smoking drive reduces, substantially. You may also join Smokers Anonymous in your city where the support is really extraordinary for like-minded people who are also in the same situation. Keep yourself occupied or engaged with interesting activities during the times when it is most tempting. Keep the company of non-smokers for some time i. E. At least for the first 21 days. Above all announce it to everyone that you have quit smoking. Here’s a piece of very good advice: even if you accidentally/willfully take a cigarette, it is not the end of the world – you can start the cessation all over again. You must persevere with the best support until you defeat this addiction. Counseling is very useful in the initial stages and when temptations are at their highest. You could also join twitter2quit program and enjoy its success to give up smoking.

I done my wife's pregnancy test by prega news when I checked first time result come is negative and when I checked again after 10 days then the result which is came in that one pink line is came between T and C so, I am can't able to understand that what is the results we got.

Hey. If you may have taken the test too early chances are you don't get the right result. Ideally you need to do the test at least after a week of the expected date of menses. Pregnancy tests like this are 99% accurate. They need to later be verified with blood test.

First of all you should follow some basic thing 1. Avoid=hot and cold at time 2. Less the sugar as much as possible if you want to eat sweet take juggery which is black 3. Do not drink water after meal drink at the time of meal sip by sip up to 150 ml 4. Avoid late night sleep take following remedies 1. Alovera juice 4tsp+ 1 tsp honey after dinner 2. Amal juice 4tsp +2 tsp sugar + 2tsp honey empty stomch in the morning.

Hi, I used to be very much fit n active few years earlier but now my health is not same. I use to smoke regularly earlier but now its quite often and Drinks alcohol every week may be twice or thrice sometimes. Mai working in BPO from 4 n half years nw in night shift. My issue is I am very much tired all the tym , I feel very lazy n my stamina is not the same also suffocation is something which is very irritating. Need some tips and help !

Hi ajish tips for healthy life 1. Always eat your breakfast 2. Keep eating at regular intervals of 2-3 hours 3. Make sure to have 2 serving of fruits and 3 serving of vegetables 4. In between your major meals have nuts or roasted canna or fruits 5. Have salad before your meals 6. Drink at least 8-10 glass of water 7. Limit the intake of processed food 8. Include pulses, whole grain and lean protein in your diet 9. Go for brisk walk for at least 30 minutes 10. Sleep for 7 hrs for good health.

I'm 29 years old. I want to ask that people get tired so much after they work or walk or travel so much but I never get any tiredness after how much I raom or travel or walk. There is no day where I get tired till today. Is there any particular reason. During my periods also I dnt get any tiredness I have even gone for picnic on my first day of periods.

I m having problem in teeth when I do brush bleeding is there so wat should I do now.

Although there are many causes of bleeding gums like any bleeding disorder, ill fitting denture, improper flossing, use of blood thinner, deficiency of vitamin k etc. But the most common cause in most of the patient is gingivitis or periodontitis that is inflammation of gum due to plaque build up because of poor oral hygiene. Consult nearest dentist for proper treatment plan and for maintaining proper oral hygiene.

Homemade remedies to treat acne and pimples: you probably are under impression that it is tough to treat your acne and pimples. Try our homemade remedies and explore your beautiful skin. Sugar scrub: dead skin cells when get clogged in pores often mimics the acne problem. Scrubbing the skin is the most natural and clinically proven method to exfoliate. Do not scrub too hard, it may irritate and damage your skin. You require: sugar, lemon juice how to use: take half cup of sugar grind it well. Add 10 drops of lemon juice to it. For dry skin, you can add olive oil to give moisturizing effect. Dip your fingertips into the mixture, and scrub on your face in circular motion. Apple cider vinegar: acids in vinegar exfoliate and treat scars on your skin. Also improves skin tone and balances skin ph. It helps to open your pores, shed off bacteria and dirt thus reduces the risk of acne and pimples. You require: apple cider vinegar, distilled water how to use: to 1 part vinegar, add 3 parts water and mix thoroughly. Dip a cotton swab into it and apply it on pimples. Leave on for at 10? 20 minutes. Reapply several times in a day for best results. Papaya: papaya is a rich source of vitamin a and protein (papain). Helps in exfoliating dead skin cells and treats irritated dry skin. Reduces premature ageing and gives a glowy look. You require: papaya how to use: peel outer skin of papaya and mash into thick paste. For a dry skin add milk or honey (optional). Apply this mask evenly all over your face. Wait for 30 minutes and rinse off completely with water. Pat dry your face and apply a good moisturizer. Oranges: if you have any doubt whether oranges help in treating acne, then don? t worry the answer is a definite yes. Its astringent properties attributes to acne treatment. As an excellent source of vitamin c, oranges are actually good in whitening and refreshing your skin. You require: oranges, rose water how to use: peel off outer skin of oranges. Dry them and grind into fine powder. Add rose water to make a paste. Apply it on blemishes and wash off after 20 minutes. Lemon juice: to heal scars and acne spots, lemon is the best remedy. When used topically or taken internally, lemon does wonders. Lemon is a good source of vitamin c, helps to remove dead skin cells. You require: lemon how to use: extract lemon juice and dip cotton balls into it. Apply on pimples, scars; wash off after 10? 15 minutes. With soft towel gently pat your skin. Avocado & honey mask: to clean your pores and treat acne and pimples, avocado is the best choice. It is rich in vitamins and fats that helps to repair damaged skin. Honey helps in cleansing and giving a soothing effect to your skin. This facial mask is suitable for all skin types. You require: avocado, honey how to use: take one of a ripe avocado, remove the skin, seeds and mash it. Add 4 tablespoons of raw honey. Apply it to face and leave it for 30? 60 minutes. Wash with warm water and pat dry. Potato: potatoes do wonders on treating acne prone skin. It is a huge hub of acids and antioxidants. Helps in clearing pimples and left out scars. You require: potato, blender, warm water how to use: all you have to do is take one potato, peel off outer skin completely and make slices. You can even mash it using blender or juicer. Apply it on pimples forming a thin layer. Leave it for 20 minutes and wash off with warm water. Mint: mint leaves contain menthol which acts as an anti-inflammatory and analgesic agent. You require: mint leaves, lemon juice how to use: take 2 cups of mint (peppermint) fresh leaves and grind them into fine paste. You can add few drops of lemon juice to it. Using a cotton swab, apply on pimples. After 30 minutes rinse off with cold water. Do not rub, gently pat with dry towel. Green tea: green tea is rich in epigallocatechin-3-gallate, an antioxidant. Research studies have revealed that epigallocatechin-3-gallate reduces sebum production, inflammation, and infection thus relieving from acne symptoms. You require: green tea leaves how to use: extract green tea from green tea leaves. Wash your face twice a day with green tea and dab with soft towel. It leaves you refreshing and relaxed. You can even daily intake one cup of green tea. Aloe: aloe has many medicinal unseen benefits. It soothes your skin and nourishes giving a vibrant look. You require: aloe, blender how to use: to attain a beautiful and glowing skin start using aloe as your routine. Extract gel from 2? 3 aloe fresh leaves or buy it from a health store. Apply to face and wash off after 20? 30 minutes. Repeat same procedure thrice in a week to get desired results. Baking soda (sodium bicarbonate): sodium bicarbonate neutralizes skin ph. Best skincare regimen which helps to remove dead and dying skin cells. Can be used regularly until you get desired results. In fact it got less or no side effects. You require: baking soda, water how to use: clean your face to remove dirt. Mix equal proportions of baking soda and water to form toothpaste like consistency. Use as a facial scrub, massage in circular soft motions with fingertips. Leave it for 15 minutes, and then rinse off with lukewarm water.

This is pre menstrual syndrome. This occurs due hormonal fluctuations and changes in neurotransmitters in brain. It is very common. If it doesn't affect your functioning just ignore. If it bothers you try restricting salt, taking calcium supplements and taking adequate rest. If this doesn't work you will have to go to a gynaecologist who will give you diuretics, some hormones to control this.

Its normal to have back pain during pregnancy or after delivery,she can do hot fomentation,take rest and take precautions like sitting with a back support (pillow behind the back) And avoid using very soft mattress,she can visit physiotherapy centre for ante natal care and learn proper postures and exercises,precautions that can be taken after the delivery which will regain the lost muscle strength of the back.
