Combination of Foods

Combining various food groups to ensure variety and nutrition is the way long back known fact of healthy eating.

The importance of variety in grains along with combination of various groups like:

Starches, Veggies, proteins, fats and fruits are also important.

Different grains like soya, black gram flour, Bajra, jawar, barley, and ragi can be included in daily diets along with wheat to ensure complete mineral intake.

Multigrain chapatti, chilla, various cereals in breakfast, roasted grains as snacks can help to include them in the daily diet.

The food group combination to avoid indigestion and maximum absorbability of nutrients are also important. Since different foods digest at different digestion environment, thus foods need to be eaten in groups that complement factors.

Some basic food combining facts are:

  1. Don't combine starches and proteins together as they require a different strength of acidity in your stomach.
  2. Combine a protein and grain with non-starchy vegetables.

In my opinion radio frequency should be reserved for old patients who are not fit for surgery. It works by ablating the nerves which although will give pain relief, has a potential of aggravating the arthritic process (neuropathic joint). Lubricant injection, on the other hand is a safer option.

You need to do a urine pregnancy test to find out if you are pregnant. These kits are usually very sensitive and if properly stored and done they can diagnose pregnancy soon after missing periods. If your periods are irregular it is best to repeat it in 1-2 weeks

Hair loss, now-a-days, is common among males and females of all age groups. We all lose some hair strands everyday, however, some people lose more than normal strands in a day that can cause severe hair loss. Hair loss is mostly genetic, so if hair loss runs in your family, you are most likely to suffer from hair loss too. Hair loss happens either in clumps, that is overall hair loss, or focussed on any one part of head - especially the crown. While genetics play a big role, some additional factors can aggravate hair loss - hormonal imbalance, Alopecia areata, stress, thyroid disease, anemia, protein deficiency, chemotherapy, and low vitamin levels may cause hair loss in you. Start by following a good diet - Eat adequate amount of protein. Your hair is made up mainly of proteins. Eat eggs, cottage cheese, chicken, soya, lentils, whole grains. Vitamin C, Zinc and Vitamin B are other important nutrients for great hair health. So include lot of fresh fruits, vegetables and whole grains in your daily diet. Exercise daily to keep yourself healthy inside out. Next important step is to follow good hair care - Oiling your hair with a mixture of oils like olive, sesame, coconut and castor oil keeps provides moisture to your hair and prevent them from drying and breakage. Once in a week apply a good hair mask. You can mix and prepare different types of masks using eggs, green tea, olive oil, milk, gooseberry, thyme, chamomile etc. Condition your hair using organic Apple Cider Vinegar, Rosemary tea once in awhile. A good dermatologist can successfully reduce hair fall by conducting some tests beforehand that includes blood tests, iron level, vitamin B, thyroid function tests and a biopsy of the scalp. Since some hair loss is temporary, your hair will grow back on its own without medical treatment. More serious hair loss can be treated with creams, oral drugs and surgery. Dermatologist can give your head a fuller appearance with the help of hair transplants and scalp reductions, which is successful both in males and females. You can use any de-tan lotion on the affected areas. Apply sun screen and cover the areas when outdoors. You can also choose a laser de tanning treatment or chemical peeling will be effective.

Start brushing twice daily with either colgate pro sensitive or sensodyne toothpaste using soft bristle brush. The result will be felt within a month. Still get your teeth x-rayed to rule out any decay.

Yes, You can try to achieve your maximum genetic potential. Short heightedness can be due to heredity reasons (genetics), lack of proper nutrition: lacking in essential vitamins and minerals, substance abuse, lack of sufficient physical activity, endocrinal/hormonal problems, mostly related to hypofunctional pituitary gland. Also, problems with bone formation and calcification are responsible for shorter stature and built. Human Growth Hormone (HGH) also plays a determining part. HGH is secreted by pituitary gland and it is directly connected to how long your bones and cartilages grow. So, I am listing some nutritional and lifestyle recommendation for you: ASHWAGANDHA: Ashwagandha can indirectly influence the release of HGH and helps the body in overall development. Take 1 tablespoon of Ashwagandha powder with a glass of warm milk (preferably with 1 tablespoon of shakkar) at night before going to bed. OTHER HERBS: You can also try some other beneficial herbs like shilajit, shatavari, guduchi, amla, and guggul. Hi, Inadequate sleep, untimely intake of food, intake of very hot and spicy food, mental worries and tensions, excessive usage of pain killers and antibiotics are all causes of acidity. Please follow these tips apart from taking medicines to avoid recurrence: - Do not keep your stomach empty for long durations, - Eat in small quantities frequently. - Avoid hot, spicy and oil fried food - Drink plenty of water in between your intake. - Keep away from mental stress and tensions, - Perform physical exercises daily and meditation helps to relieve mental stress and tensions. - Consume lot of fibre like raw vegetables, oats, fruits, sprouts, etc - Avoid excess intake of coffee or tea , intake of medicines on empty stomach. - Be careful about the food while eating outside. - Carry a small pack of biscuit or some fruits along with you for emergency. - Whenever you suffer from acidity, take the medications prescribed by the doctor for 2-3 weeks continuously until the wounds in the stomach gets healed completely. - Sleep at least for 8 hours a day. - Restrict the usage of pain killers and antibiotics frequently.

My nerves are very weak from childhood. I am not as strong as others. Have not participated in any games at school neither activities. Still feeling hard to get up in morning. Even somebody shouts I feel shaking body. I am 30 years of age male. Want to find a way to be stronger. I started doing workout regularly. Feeling bit good but can not improve my exercise time as well. Please guide me, if came across such cases like this before. Hello, How much bleeding is there during the menses? Since how long you have been suffering from this problem? Any associated symptoms or complaints? Any medical condition do you have? Have you got your investigations done (if yes, share the reports with me) or else visit a good gynaecologist for further guidance. Answer all these questions for proper diagnosis and proper treatment. Any nutritional deficiency can also lead to Menstrual problem/ irregularity. Take more of green vegetables, nuts, salads, seasonal fruits, yellow coloured veggies, milk & milk products, plenty of water and enough of sleep & rest.
