I am 24 year old n I have gain my weight abnormally. What to do can please suggest me.
Hi lybrate-user Trying to lose weight? You must have come across a lot of different diets and exercises for weight loss, but if you want all these recommendations to work for you effectively you will have to team them up with some golden rules of losing weight. Follow these simple yet crucial diet rules and see your weighing machine dancing to your tune. Eat Only When You Are Hungry : Just because the clock says it’s your lunch, dinner or snack time, or because you are bored, miserable or want to try that new trim tram is not an excuse to binge on the food. Eat only when you feel hungry, not because your clock says. Move More, Lose More: Its time that you say no to that lift in your office or apartments to at least 5th floor and take advantage of this incidental exercise provided by stairs. Stake the stairs instead of elevators and walk to the nearby shop than taking out a car. Make Appointment for Exercise: Plan in exercise. Write it in your daily planner or diary like an appointment and treat it like one. Drink Water, Drink it Often: Drinking 6-8 glass of water daily is ideal. Often hunger is confused with thirst and dehydration. So everytime you feel hungry, drink water before you eat. Plan Ahead, Plan Healthy: Get organized in your kitchen. Create a healthy meal plan for the week. Prepare a shopping list accordingly and stick to it. Prepare meals and snacks in advance. A little planning helps you decide a better and a healthy meal and also saves you from that 5’o clock ‘what to make in dinner’ panic. Eat Less: Sorry, but can’t avoid this and no excuses accepted to avoid this one. Eat smaller portions; eat dinner on entrée size plates. This will help you load less on your plates and eventually in your tummy. Get Enough Sleep: This is important because those who take less sleep than what is required by their body tend to produce increased amount of Ghrein, a hormone which increases appetite. So next time you go to bed, set your alarm clock to 8 hrs from that time. Make your Treat: Since it’s already a no to eating those trim trams. You still can relish your favorite food, but the rule is to make it yourself and make it healthy, Focus: Focus on what motivates you. It can be a quote, a photo or anything else. Keep it with you as a reminder of your desire to lose weight and bring in change. Embrace The Change: You can expect to get different results by doing same thing over and over again, so once you have achieved a certain weight accept it and change the strategy to obtain further results keeping these basic golden rules as its basis. Since now you know the golden rules of weight loss, why not get started and fit into those pants you have been wanting for so long.

I have a problem now a days I am very stressful now a days what shall I do sir or madam.

C.S.C, D.C.H, M.B.B.S
General Physician,
I have a problem now a days I am very stressful now a days what shall I do sir or madam.
STRESS CONTROL There are many ways to tame your stress and keep it at bay. Here are 20 tips to tame your stress today, and keep the stress monsters at bay. 1. Perform diaphragmatic or deep breathing exercises. 2. Lie face down on the floor and begin breathing deeply and slowly, with your hands resting under your face. Do this for five minutes. 3. Sit in a reclining chair. Put a hand on your abdomen and a hand on your chest. As you breathe, make sure the hand on your abdomen is moving up and down rather than one on your chest. If the hand on your abdomen is moving you are breathing deeply and slowly. 4. Try progressive muscle relaxation or “deep muscle” relaxation. Progressively tense and relax each muscle group in your body. Learn the difference between muscle tension and relaxation. 5. Meditate. Use visualization or imagery to help you learn to be one with your thoughts. Sit quietly with your eyes closed, imagining the sights, sounds and smells of your favorite place, such as a beach or mountain retreat. 6. Exercise regularly or take up yoga. 7. Consult a psychologist about the use of biofeedback 8. Make time for music, art or other hobbies that help relax and distract you. 9. Learn to identify and monitor stressors. Come up with an organized plan for handling stressful situations. Be careful not to overgeneralize negative reactions to things. 10. Make a list of the important things you need to handle each day. Try to follow the list so you feel organized and on top of things. Put together a coping plan step by step so you have a sense of mastery. 11. Keep an eye on things that might suggest you’re not coping well. For example, are you smoking or drinking more, or sleeping less? 12. Keep a list of the large and little hassles in your day versus the major stressful events in your life. This helps you focus on the fact that you’re keeping track of and managing those as well as you can. 13. Set aside a time every day to work on relaxation. 14. Avoid using caffeine, alcohol, nicotine, junk food, binge eating and other drugs as your primary means for coping with stress. While they can be helpful once in awhile, using them as your only or usual method will result in longer-term problems, such as weight problems or alcoholism. 15. Learn to just say, “No” occasionally. It won’t hurt other people’s feelings as much as you think and is simply a method to be more assertive in your own life, to better help you meet your own needs. 16. Get the right amount of sleep. For most people, this is seven to nine hours a night. 17. Cultivate a sense of humor; laugh. 18. Research has shown that having a close, confiding relationship protects you from many stresses. 19. Don’t run from your problems! This only makes them worse. 20. Talk to your family and friends. See if they can help. If these tips don’t help, or you’ve tried a lot of them with little luck in better taming the stress in your life, it may be time to consider taking it up a notch. A mental health professional — such as a psychologist — can help teach you more effective methods for handling stress in a healthy way in your life. Such psychotherapy is short-term and time-limited, with a focus on helping you better deal with stress.

How can improve the sexual problems? Can prevent pre-ejaculation in sexual intercourse. What kind of medicines are available pre ejaculation problems? Is there any way to cure it? Pls reply.

BHMS
Homeopath,
How can improve the sexual problems? Can prevent pre-ejaculation in sexual intercourse. What kind of medicines are av...
Dear lybrate user, kindly note that if you are unmarried & indulge in sexual relation after an interval of minimum 7 days then you are bound to discharge quickly during intercourse but that does not imply that you have any disease. It occurs due to loss of control of the muscles of penis. Normally it is seen that when a person does sexual intercourse daily he gains control over the muscles of penis & can stay longer during sex. You need to take homoeopathic mother tincture salix nigra q, 30 drops, thrice daily, after meals, in a cup of water to get rid of premature ejaculation. But before taking any medicine kindly notice whether you are having a second erection within 15 minutes of ejaculation for the first time. If you are not experiencing any erection within 15 minutes of ejaculation then you are surely suffering from erectile dysfunction. There will be a change of medication in this case. To get rid of erectile dysfunction you need to take homoeopathic mother tincture yohimbinum q, 30 drops, thrice daily, after meals, in a cup of water. Along with medicines you can also try a home therapy to boost your sexual performance. Soak 4-5 dry dates (khurma khajur) in a cup of lukewarm milk before going to bed daily. On waking up next morning eat those soaked dry dates & discard the milk. Repeat the process daily. This therapy often gives effective result within 15 days there are many conventional allopathic sexual pills in market such as adegra, viagra, penegra etc. Refrain yourself from using such pills as those pills contain a steroid called sildenafil. This steroid has a unique temporary effect on erectile problems. Patients using these pills for first time often report that their penis remain strong even after ejaculation. Such effects leads the patients to use sildenafil for prolonged course of time as they often feel that a full erection is possible only after taking sildenafil. Moreover it is very low cost & easy availability of this steroid has made it quite common as sexual medicine. But the bitter truth is prolonged use of sildenafil will permanently disable the normal physiological process behind erection & will render your body to become solely dependent upon sildenafil for erection. As a result you won't feel any slightest normal erection without taking sildenafil. This is an irreversible condition & it cannot be treated by any means. Once you attain this condition you become a life-time customer of that steroid sildenafil because you have to take sildenafil in order to satisfy your partner. As prevention is always better than cure I would advise you to check the composition of any sexual pills before buying. Discard any sexual pills which contains sildenafil in its composition. If you are suffering from premature ejaculation then along with medicine & home therapy you can try the kegel's exercise. You have to do this exercise once daily during the first time of urination after waking up from sleep at morning. Kindly note the following steps to perform the kegel's exercise:- 1) start urinating until you feel that you have voided almost half amount of urine from bladder. 2) when you feel you have voided almost half of the urine try to stop the flow of urine by squeezing the internal muscles of penis. 3) you should not use your hands to stop the flow. Your hands should be resting on your waist. You have to stop the urine only by your self control over the internal muscles of penis. 4) try to stop the urine flow by the control of internal muscles up to 20 seconds. On the very first day you won't be able to hold the urine for more than 3 seconds. However, practicing the exercise daily will improve your control over the muscles of penis & after 15-20 days you will be able to stop the urine for 20 seconds by the control of your pelvic muscles. This control of pelvic muscles will help you to get rid of premature ejaculation while you are performing sexual intercourse 5) after 20 seconds is over, void the rest of the urine. Do not stop the flow of urine for more than 30 seconds. N. P.- kegel's exercise is effective only in the case of premature ejaculation & it is not helpful for patients suffering from erectile dysfunction.

I have got sensitivity problem in my teeth. What I will do? I used sensodine but there is no relief.

PERIODONTIST, B.D.S.
Dentist, Navi Mumbai
I have got sensitivity problem in my teeth. What I will do? I used sensodine but there is no relief.
Sensitivity of teeth is mostly due to loss of outer layer of teeth (enamel) and exposure of second layer of tooth (dentin). The dentine caries all sensation of air, water, cold to the nerve of tooth. So block these dentine layer you have to use desensitizing or nerve blocking tooth paste. You can use thermoseal ra, shy- nm, sensoform and also sensodyne. You have to use these pastes by applying it on your tooth surface for 5-7 minutes, after that you can brush with the same tooth paste. It takes time to recover this condition but if you make an effort nothing is impossible.

I am nt able to grow my dick size please tell me any medicine. I am trouble with this problem.

MBBS, MD - Community Medicine
General Physician, Jaipur
I am nt able to grow my dick size please tell me any medicine. I am trouble with this problem.
Hi, Penis size is something about which most of the men are obsessed because they don’ t have proper knowledge about the size of their organs. It is important to know that size of penis doesn’t matters unless it is too small to perform sexual intercourse. Sperm count/ volume, penis size (if it does not hinder sexual intercourse), scrotum size, duration of ejaculation has nothing to do with sexual life and stamina. Heart-healthy behavior is penis-healthy behavior. You should quit smoking, eat more low-cholesterol foods, and get plenty of regular cardio exercise—particularly squats, hip thrusts, and leg lifts—to send blood rushing to the pelvic and gluteal area. In case if it is really small to perform intercourse, PLEASE do not waste your time and money with quacks/ new paper adds/ various miracle pills. Consult some doctor preferably urologist/ endocrinologist to seek help.

Malocclusion and Its Effect on Maintaining Oral Health

BDS
Dentist, Gurgaon
Malocclusion and Its Effect on Maintaining Oral Health

Malocclusion refers to the general arrangement of teeth and the manner in which the lower and upper sets of teeth fit. In optimal conditions, the upper set of teeth should fit slightly over the lower set of teeth. Malocclusion is a condition wherein the teeth are improperly aligned. Often, malocclusion tends to be a hereditary condition. The symptoms that indicate the occurrence of malocclusion include:

  1. Abnormal teeth alignment.

  2. Irregular facial appearance.

  3. Discomfort or difficulty during chewing or biting.

  4. Mouth breathing (breathing using the mouth instead of the nose).

Malocclusion and Oral Health-

  1. Malocclusion, also known as bad bite, is capable of affecting your overall oral health. This is because crowded and crooked teeth tend to hinder the proper cleaning of the mouth. This leads to tooth decay, gum diseases and even tooth loss.

  2. Malocclusion has a negative impact on the maintenance of oral health. Studies showed individuals without malocclusion were able to maintain a better oral hygiene in comparison to those with the condition.

  3. The improper alignment of teeth makes it rather difficult for the brush to reach in certain parts of the teeth thereby failing to remove bacteria and germs from particular areas for an extended period of time. This results in bad breath.

  4. It also makes flossing difficult and it creates hindrance in the way of maintaining proper oral hygiene.

  5. The improper adjustment of teeth leads to gum decay owing to the faulty cleaning. It promotes the growth of harmful bacteria that leads to weakening of tooth and gums.

  6. Owing to the misalignment of teeth, chewing becomes difficult. This often goes to hamper and mar the way one speaks as well. Malocclusion also results in wearing off of the tooth enamel. This the teeth to appear yellow due to the inability of the brush to reach every place. If you wish to discuss about any specific problem, you can consult a dentist and ask a free question.
