Dear lybrate user avoid any shampoos and perfumed oils since hairloss is just not an external disease it needs an internal constitutional treatment for cure, you can use shika powder to wash hair and pure oils for massaging.

Hi warts of every type do have an excellent solution in homoeopathy with simple oral medications. No surgery or cauterization or laser required at all. After complete course of treatment, which usually takes 2-3 months you can get rid of warts permanently. I have treated so many cases of warts of years standing with oral homoepathic medications.

Rinse your face with water and pat it dry. Crush up mint leaves thoroughly, you can use a blender but a mortar and pestle works quite well if you happen to have one lying around. Rub the juice and crushed leaves on your face and leave for 5-10 minutes before rinsing off thoroughly with cold water. Do cleansing and tonning of face daily before sleep.

Eczema in Infants

MD - Dermatology , Venereology & Leprosy, MBBS
Dermatologist, Delhi

Are you observing red, crusty patches on the surface of your infant’s skin during his/her first month after birth? this is an indication of infant eczema. It is a dry, itchy skin condition which may occur on any part of your child’s body and is commonly found on the cheeks, legs and arms. This condition is sometimes confused with cradle cap, which is another skin condition.

Causes-

Eczema usually runs in families and is hereditary. If you have eczema, it is likely that your child may have it too. Several problems in the skin barrier allow germs inside and moisture to go out. This is a common cause of eczema in infants. The condition occurs when the body makes insufficient fatty cells or ceramides. When there is not enough of these, the skin loses water and becomes extremely dry.

Does eczema in infants go away by itself?

In many cases, infant eczema goes away on its own and most infants outgrow the condition by the time they are ready for school. However, some children do get eczema during their adulthood. This may continue for years without specific symptoms. Such children also tend to have dry skin.

Treatment-

Here are some home treatment options for infant eczema:

You should use moisturisers on your child. Moisturisers containing ceramides are a good option, which are available at all over-the-counter (otc) stores by prescription. You can also opt for good moisturisers, fragrance-free creams and ointments like petroleum jelly. This helps in keeping your baby’s skin in retaining natural moisture. Apply these after a bath.

A lukewarm bath is beneficial for your child. It helps in hydrating and cooling the skin. The water should not be very hot and the bath should not exceed 10 minutes. You can also add oatmeal soaking products to your baby’s scrub for soothing itchiness.

You must use mild and unscented body soaps for your baby. This is because perfumed, antibacterial and deodorant soaps are rough for your baby’s skin. Scrub some soap on areas of your child’s body where there is dirt, such as the genitals, feet and hand. Do not rub or pat his/her skin.

Several medicines are also used for the treatment of infant eczema. These include hydrocortisone creams and ointments, which help in easing inflammation and itching. You should not apply these medicines in excess as they can thin the skin on the affected areas.

You should consult a doctor on observing any signs or symptoms of eczema on your child’s skin. This will help in proper diagnosis of the problem and an early treatment plan will prevent further deterioration of the symptoms.

If you wish to discuss about any specific problem, you can consult a Dermatologist.

Hi, male-pattern hair loss, also known as androgenic alopecia. Men typically present with hairline recession at the temples and vertex balding. So they can try homoeopathic medication that is based on constitution and work wonders. 1. Take acid phos. 200, 5 drops, morning empty stomach, once in week. 2. Wiesbaden 200, 5 drops, daily morning empty stomach. 3. Natrum mur 6x, 4-4 tabs once a day. 4. Apply arnica hair growth oil (b &t) on your hair and scalp, thrice in a week. 5. Wash hair with arnica montana herbal shampoo (sbl) 6. Drink minimum 10 glasses of water per day. 7. Take 10 ml amla juice mixed with half cup of water, at daily night.

Types Of Acne Scars!

MBBS, DDV
Dermatologist, Mumbai
Types Of Acne Scars!

Acne scarring need not necessarily be of one type. The more severe scarring on the skin is usually known as an 'ice pick'. These scars are jagged and shallow or deep like ice pick stabs. They occur as a result of deep tissue loss from deep, nodular acne.

1. Follicular Macular Atrophy
They are small, soft and white lesions which look like tiny whiteheads just under the surface of your skin. They tend to appear on your chest and back.

2. Atrophic Macules
These are soft and sometimes wrinkled and can also turn blue in appearance because of blood vessels which lie directly under the scar.

3. Soft scars
They have sloping or rolling edges that seem to merge with your normal skin. They are most often circular, linear or small.

4. Depressed Fibrotic scars
These scars are steep, large and sharp. Ice pick scars over time can also develop to be depressed fibrotic scars.

Hello, take homoeopathic medicines 1.Kali Brom 30 (4 drops in little water) twice a day for a week. 2.Berberis Aquifolium Q (10 drops in little water) thrice a day for a week and update with the feedback. *clean your skin gently with a mild face wash removing all dirt or make-up. Wash many times a day with plain water. *try not to squeeze, scratch, pick, or rub the pimples, it can lead to scarring and skin infections. *avoid touching your face with your hands or fingers. *make a habit of 8-10 glasses of water in a day. *avoid stress and anger. *avoid harsh skin products. *Avoid very oily, spicy and sugary foods. *Include fruits, raw vegetables and fresh vegetable juices in your diet.
