I am having yellow marks on my teeth I dont know how to remove it please give any solution for removing it.

PGD Orthodontics & Dentofacial Orthopedics
Dentist, Mumbai
Yellow marks on teeth can either be because of faulty development of tooth or because of accumulation of tartar (calculus as we call it). Faulty development of tooth is a problem that can be addresed only with aesthetic smile designing. If the problem is of tartar, it can be silve by getting a ckeaning of teeth done at a dentist.

How I can protect my teeth for long life, which toothpaste is better. Please help me.

BDS
Dentist, Mumbai
Dear you can protect your teeth by keeping good oral hygiene. Doing regular brushing of teeth. Visiting dental surgeon every six months. Get a well planned scaling and polishing procedure will remove plaque and leave your teeth feeling nice and smooth. This will also prevent bacteria sticking to them (which they are able to on teeth with a rough surface) which can lead to the build up of tartar. And, it will help to prevent gum disease, and keep teeth healthy. All paste are good. Crest fresh mint is a good tooth paste.

Sugary foods should be consumed in limited quantities as the bacteria in dental plaque changes them into acids.

I am 24 years old, From my mouth bad smells coming! How can I avoid that? Please help me.

BDS
Dentist, Raipur
Kindly get scaling done and use mouth wash twice daily for 15 days. Brush your teeth twice daily using correct brushing technique to maintain your oral hygiene. Also notice that you are not constipated most of the times as this is also one of the reasons for bad breath.

Pain can be due to some conditions like cavities, dry mouth. Gum disease, and fracture of tooth. You need to be investigated and diagnosed first for proper treatment plan. For temporary relief from pain you can take ketorol dt 2 tabs dissolved in half cup of water or ibuprofen 1 tablet after meal. Rinse mouth three times with chlorhexidine mouthwash after each meal.

Gastritis, lung & sinus infection may also be the cause of bad smell in the mouth. 90% of bad breath is due to a dirty tongue. We need more investigations with clinical examination to decide upon treatment. You may need deep cleaning. Rinse your mouth thoroughly with a mouth wash until then. Advance procedures can be done with laser too. Dental tips: - visit a dentist every six months for cleaning and a thorough dental check-up. Limit sugary food to avoid tooth decay. Gargle your mouth thoroughly after every meal. Scrub gently to clean your tongue with a tongue cleaner. Floss all your teeth inter dentally & brush twice daily, morning & night, up & down short vertical strokes, with ultra-soft bristles, indicator brush. Tooth brush to be changed every 2 months.
