Dear low back pain k liye you can do it perfectly. 1, lying on your stomach, prop yourself up on your forearms. Align your elbows directly under your shoulders. Press firmly through your palms and the tops of your feet. Press your pubic bone forward. You will feel sensations in your lower back, but breathe through it. You are allowing blood flow int from all-fours, bring your right knee behind your right wrist with your lower leg at a diagonal toward your left hip. Square off your hips toward the ground. Bend forward. Widen the elbows and place one hand on top of the other as a pillow for your forehead. Hold 2-3 minutes and then switch to the left side for 2-3 minutes. O the lower back for healing. Hold for 1-3 minutes. 2. Lying on your back, bend both knees with the feet flat on the ground. Bend the right knee like a figure four, with the outer left ankle to the right thigh. Lift the left foot into the air, bringing the left calf parallel to the ground. Thread your right hand between the opening of the legs and interlace your hands behind your left thigh. Hold 2-3 minutes and then repeat on the other side 3scoot your buttocks all the way into the wall and swing your feet up the wall. This pose is excellent for relaxing the muscles of the lower back and drains stagnant fluid from the feet and ankles. Do this pose after a challenging workout and always after traveling by plane. Hold for 5-10 minutes. I hope you will fit and fine. Thanks.

Dear lybrate-user, changing posture is bit difficult but if you want you can change. If you back is giving pain while standing or walking. Try it to bend little forward, do some back strengthening excercises like lying flat on floor lifting legs straight up and again down, folding legs towards and lift your head until shoulder. Try this if facing difficulty can consult me again.

Hi My mom is 60 and she is having knee pain since 3 or 4 years. So what option of treatment ? is the surgery is only easy and permanent cure ?

DNB Rheumatology, Grad. Cert. Paed. Rheumat, MD - Paediatrics, MBBS
Rheumatologist, Bangalore
Has osteoarthritis. The diagnosis needs to confirmed. If in fact she has osteoarthritis then she needs to be assessed for comorbidities and needs to be put on an intensive exercise program with control of pain using safe pain modfiying medications instead of pain killers. This can be done best by a rheumatologist. The final option is surgery. Surgery is done by an orthopedician. Nowadays if surgery is done properly the risk of failure is < 5%. If you let me know where you live I can give you a reference of a nearby rheumatologist. You can contact me via my website www.Rheumatologybangalore.Com You can get more information regarding osteoarthritis from the document below. This back pain is due to no back exercise. Due to this muscle get stiff. When suddenly you get move fast that time this stiff muscle get break and pain start. In ayurved there is mentioned one procedure kati basti. Do this for five days with medicated oil if you want to do it you should do it under doctor observation. So consult ayurvedic doctor near you. I am suffering frm a neck pain for 3 months. When I spray volini it becomes alright fr sometime nd after that it start as previous.

MBBS,Doctor of Medicine, CCH

The pain could be due to strain on your neck muscles. I suggest do hot fomentation by hot water bag or heating pad. Reduce the size of your pillow, so it keeps your head in line with your bodyline. Avoid lifting weights.

Sir My father suffering from high BP last one year his legs and hand getting pains feel like JUM JUM knee pains also now he is taking tablets of preva-75 and amlokind AT every one hour or 1/2 hour between he going for urine so please suggest.

Erasmus Mundus Master in Adapted Physical Activity, MPT, BPTh/BPT
Physiotherapist, Chennai
This is a general strain due to excessive walking or standing and for this you can follow these measures: one keep a pillow right under the knee while sleeping, next is you can keep ice in the painful area for about 5--10 minutes. One time you can do hot water fermentation that would help to reduce the muscle strain.
