Diet rich in vitamins, minerals esp fruits & green leafy vegetables should be included in maximum regular exercise, yoga, avoid hair dyes, avoid washing hair frequently, avoid vigorous scalp massage/brushing. Homoeopathic Aspect of hairfall- Homoeopathy has a lot to offer in hairfall but it requires some time. Following medicines are useful in treating hairfall - Lycopodium, Graphites ,Thuja ,Phosphoric–acid ,Selenium ,Mancinella ,Fluoric–acid, Can notharis ,Phosphorus ,China ,Sepia. Avoid self medication as detailed history is required in each & every case. Thus Homoeopathy alongwith proper diet & regimen, regular exercises would prove to be a great ray of hope for the patients of hair–fall. You can consult me on Lybrate and get all the solutions.

Hi,Acne is the most common teenage problem.Acne is a result of a blockage in the follicles or the pores on the skin. I have acne on my forehead, cheeks and chin. Sometimes, I get cystic acne too. My skin is oily, so I wash my face with Clean & Clear morning energy face wash (2-3 times) a day. I used Fash face wash and Retino-A as per a dermatologist's suggestion but it didn't help me. Then I used Azythromycin 500 mg tablets along with Retino AC cream on my cystic acne but it darkens the acne spot causing dryness. I also have dandruff, for which I'm currently taking treatment. And on my cheeks, the pores are sometimes large. I use Vicco Turmeric cream and Multani Mitti, turmeric, sandalwood paste to control the appearance of acne but nothing helps much. Any suggestions? I am 25 years old and a little desperate to get rid of my acne. Please Help.

Hi. Cystic acne requires oral tablets for longer periods to get it under control. Please be in touch with your dermatologist regularly to keep your acne under check. Since acne is hormonal it may bother you repeatedly but getting it treated adequately every time is important or else they will leave bad marks and scars. Ideally acne creams are to be applied just one drop for the entire face at night with gentle spreading and no massage. If some creams give you unmanageable dryness or irritation, let your doctor know.

Compose a mixture of milk, turmeric powder and lemon juice to make a thick paste. Apply it on the dark spots caused due to pimples. Let it dry completely. Rinse your skin with lukewarm water. Repeat remedy if needed. You can also mix olive oil and turmeric powder instead of the above.

Building Your Perfect Skin-Care Routine!

Finding the perfect skin care routine for yourself is no easy task, it requires knowledge about your skin. It also requires you to go through various skincare products and a trial and error method to find suitable products. Maintaining a healthy skin is an indicator of your general health and hence cannot be taken lightly.

In order to determine the perfect skin care routine, you must first determine the type of skin you have. Usually the skin types are classified as dry skin, oily skin and combination skin (a mixture of both oily skin and dry skin). Dry skin is characterized by tightness and flakiness; it turns parched on washing and you need constant moisturizing. Oily skin is characterized by presence of large pores and oiliness in the skin. This skin type is also prone to acne and pimples. Combination skin type is characterized by an oily t-zone (nose, chin and forehead) with dry cheeks.

Based on identifying the skincare type, now your focus should be on putting together a skincare routine that keeps your skin fresh and healthy. Here are some tips to find the perfect skincare routine based on your skin type -

  1. Oily skin: Oily skin is characterized by excessive oiliness in the skin and thus you need to keep your face clean at all times. Use a mild cleanser to clean your face twice a day so as to keep those pores unclogged. If the pores get clogged with impurities then inflammation occurs resulting in acne. Focus on using water based moisturizers so that the skin remains oil free.
  2. Dry skin: Dry skin is characterized by parched skin that feels flaky at times, so restrict cleaning your face excessively as it will strip away the natural oils. Use oil based moisturizers to moisturize your skin after washing it. Eat a lot of protein based food to keep your skin healthy.
  3. Combination skin: Combination skin is a mixture of both oily and dry skin. The oily parts of the skin need attention similar to the oily skin routine. Wash your skin with a gentle cleanser and avoid using harsh soaps. Apply moisturizes only to dry areas of the skin as it may aggravate flare ups if applied to the oily parts.

Everyone has a favourite face cream or treatment, but beautiful skin starts with nourishment from within. Older cells are constantly shed and replaced by younger ones and a steady supply of micronutrients is essential to support this rapid growth. Eat the correct balance of foods and you'll feed your skin the vital nutrients it needs to help it stay soft, supple and blemish-free. Eat your five-a-day Fruit and vegetables contain powerful antioxidants that help to protect skin from the cellular damage caused by free radicals. Free radicals are caused by smoking, pollution and sunlight and can cause wrinkling and age spots. Eat a rainbow of colourful fruit and vegetables and aim for at least five portions a day. Betacarotene, found in pumpkin, carrots and sweet potatoes, and lutein, found in kale, papaya and spinach are potent antioxidants, important for normal skin cell development and healthy skin tone. Homoeopathic cream ANTIMARKS CREAM ( BIOVALLEY) Apply twice daily in circular fashion Lemon Juice A quick and easy solution is lemon juice. Lemons have vitamin C that can lighten dark spots on your face. It’s easy to apply. 1. Put some fresh lemon juice on a cotton ball and rub it directly on the affected skin area. 2. Allow it to dry and then wash it off with plain water. 3. Continue applying this dark spot removal home remedy for at least two weeks to get the desired result. If you have delicate or sensitive skin, you can dilute the lemon juice with plain water, rosewater, or honey. You can also use lime juice to get rid of black spots, applying it in the same manner as described above. 2. Buttermilk Buttermilk is also beneficial in getting rid of dark spots. Like lemon juice, it also helps fade blemishes and black spots but without causing burning sensation. 1. Take four teaspoons of buttermilk. 2. Add two teaspoons of fresh tomato juice. 3. Mix the two ingredients (both have excellent bleaching properties) and then apply. 4. Wash it off after 15 minutes. The lactic acid in milk too, will gradually reduce skin pigmentation, and brighten and tone your overall skin complexion. So, if you do not have buttermilk, simply apply soak a cotton ball in milk and dab it directly on your spots. Leave it on for about 10 minutes and then wash it off Put milk on a cotton ball and dab it directly on your spots. Repeat this procedure twice daily for four to five weeks. You can also prepare a solution by mixing milk and honey and apply the solution to your dark spots, leaving it on for 10 minutes.
