Hello- Phimosis Stretching exercises For any treatment of phimosis that does not involve surgery, it will involve stretching the foreskin. These exercises should be conducted alongside the other natural remedies listed here.The purpose of phimosis stretching exercises is to the stretch the skin sufficiently so that it can move unimpeded over the penis glans, which is the head of the penis. These exercises take time and patience and absolutely should not be rushed as you could cause injury and scarring which would make the phimosis worse.phimosis stretching exercises First off, you must assess the size of the opening for the foreskin. Gently clasp the end of the foreskin while the penis is limp and pull it away from the body. Try to put a finger into the opening. If you can put a thumb in, do so. You do not need to insert the digit far as the purpose of inserting the digit is to get a purchase on the foreskin. Be careful not to insert your finger too far to avoid touching the glans which will be very painful to touch. With the help of your other hand repeat, see if you can get another finger or thumb in the opening, begin to stretch the foreskin laterally as in the picture above. If you can only get one digit into the hole, then you will have to make do. The point here is to stretch laterally the foreskin ring which is the narrowest part. Do not stretch the foreskin to the point that it is painful. This will cause scarring and damage to the skin, which will make you phimosis worse. These phimosis stretching exercises should be done for 5 minutes in the morning and again in the evening. It will take about a week before you notice any material change so be patient and do not rush. Doing long sessions will make little difference as the stretching will happen when the skin cells grow. The phimosis stretching exercises stimulate the growth, they do not actually stretch the skin. So it is more important to do frequent small sessions than infrequent, long sessions. Remember the objective at this stage is to begin the loosening of the foreskin. You must not try and force the gland through the foreskin as you may not be able to get it back in. The foreskin can become trapped like an elastic band behind the gland, restricting blood flow to the penis head. This condition is called Paraphimosis and can often require surgery to fix.

Mr SS Prasad, Tinnitus or ringing sound in ear is a fairly common condition that develops in older aged persons. It occurs because of affection to inner ear (labyrinthitis). Diabetes and high blood pressure do not directly affect it. However, it good to keep both the conditions in proper check. There are variious drugs used to control tinnitus, but it is a tough condition to cure. It is better if you consult a competent ENT surgeon for this.

Exercises for cervicogenic headache hi dear, I hope you will fitt and fine The following exercises are commonly prescribed to patients with this condition. You should discuss the suitability of these exercises with your physiotherapist prior to beginning them. Generally, they should be performed 2 – 5 times daily and only provided they do not cause or increase symptoms. Your physiotherapist can advise when it is appropriate to begin the initial exercises and eventually progress to the intermediate and advanced exercises. As a general rule, addition of exercises or progression to more advanced exercises should take place provided there is no increase in symptoms. ________________________________________ Initial Exercises Chin Tucks Begin this exercise by sitting or standing tall with your back and neck straight, shoulders should be back slightly. Tuck your chin in as far as you can go without pain and provided you feel no more than a mild to moderate stretch (figure 4). Keep your eyes and nose facing forwards during the movement. Hold for 2 seconds and repeat 10 times provided there is no increase in symptoms. Repeat 3 – 5 times daily Shoulder Blade Squeezes Begin this exercise by sitting or standing tall with your back straight. Squeeze your shoulder blades together as hard and far as possible pain-free (figure 5). Hold for 5 seconds and repeat 10 times provided there is no increase in symptoms. Repeat 3 – 5 times daily. (N. B In some cases it may be beneficial to perform this exercise every 1 or 2 hours provided the exercise does not cause or increase symptoms) Some of the most commonly recommended products by physiotherapists to hasten healing and speed recovery in patients with this condition include: 1.Postural Supports To enjoy a long and healthy life 2.Therapeutic Pillows 3.Ice Packs and Heat Packs 4.Lumbar Rolls (for sitting) 5.Sports Tape (for postural taping) 6.McKenzie Treat Your Own Neck Book 7.Foam Rollers 8.Massage Balls (for self massage) 9.TENS Machines (for pain relief) Lower back pain you can do it this exercise, 1 Lying on your back, bend your right knee into your chest and place a strap or rolled-up towel around the ball of your foot. Straighten your leg toward the ceiling. Press out through both heels. If the lower back feels strained, bend the left knee and place the foot on the ground. Hold for 3-5 minutes and then switch to the left let for 3-5 minutes. 2….Lying on your back, bend your knees into your chest and bring your arms out at a T. As you exhale lower your knees to ground on the right. Keep both shoulders pressing down firmly. If the left shoulder lifts, lower your knees further away from the right arm. Hold for 1-2 minutes each side I hope you will fit and fine.

36 year old female was detected thyroid and started thyronorm 25 mcg around 15 months back. She is regularly taking medication. She got it checked TSH in September 2015 and it was 4.65. However in June. .when tested TSH was 5. 79. .slightly above normal range. She is feeling weakness, giddiness, slight nausea (some times ).and her appetite got increased and started eating frequently. My query is that are the mentioned symptoms associated with rise in TSH. .Do we need to continue with medication or need to consult Dr. for further investigation.

Mr. Lybrate-user, hypothyroidism produces a number of symptoms like early fatigue, tiredness, weight gain, dry skin, dry hair and hair fall, muscle and joint pain, irregular periods, excess flow, occasionally giddiness and nausea may be there. Ideally when on treatment tsh level should be between 3 to 4 milli units/l, to relieve all symptoms. So it appears her current dose of thyroxine is inadequate, needs to be increased. Plus patients weight is much high, almost having grade 1 obesity with a bmi of 29.16 kgs/m2 (normal <23 kgs). With high tsh level efforts to reduce weight also do not become successful. Thanks.
