Hi, pain due to lifting weight is due to increased pressure on disc material nucleus pulposus (which is a gelly like substance). In normal condition there should be no pain as bone and muscles are strong to hold the hold of lifting, but when they are weak load transferred to disc.

For increasing your weight Few diet tips - Not to eat fried food items and Can eat All green vegetables, moong, chana,Dal, rice etc And to apply ghee over chappati and don't apply oil over chappati And to drink milk mixed with turmeric powder twice a day And If possible eat eggs on alternate days And If possible in breakfast eat atleast one bajra ka rotla And Eat seasonal fruit and don't take medicine.

I am unable to sleep on time, no matter what I do, I just can not sleep on time, need a permanent solution, tried sleeping pills did not work, worked temporarily, tried alcohol (even though its a bad option it worked temporarily) however there were setbacks. So what is the solution.

Hi One of the simplest and most effective ways to induce sleep is to rub some oil on the scalp and the soles of the feet before going to bed. Use sesame oil, brahmi oil, jasmine oil, or coconut oil and massage gently for a few minutes. Slightly warming the oil before applying is helpful. 1-1 drop of cow ghee in both nostrils at night time before sleep. Take sarpgandha vati 1-1 tab twice a day. Take pranacharya no tens capsule 1-1 twice a day. Avoid spicy food. Junk food. Fermented food. Tea.coffee. Do pranayama early in the morning.

Hi With a good control of diabetes I suggest you take 2-3 fresh dates per day and not khajoor (dry dates) as it has more carbohydrates and sugar.

White odorous particles are a normal phenomena. This is called smegma. It will get deposited if the penile head is not cleaned for a few days. So please clean with soap water daily. This will prevent cancerous grown of penis in future. The urgency. Dribbling of urine is typically due to prostatic growth. Commonly benign prostatic hypertrophy. (bph). You need to do certain tests as below 1. Blood for cbc. Esr. Fbs. Psa urine. Routine exam. Ultrasonography of prostate once the diagnosis is confirmed treatment plan can be made. Best will be to consult a urologist.

Hello, Self-care measures can help ease the pain of a migraine headache. Try muscle relaxation exercises. Relaxation techniques may include progressive muscle relaxation, meditation or yoga. Get enough sleep, but don't oversleep. Get an adequate amount of sleep each night. It's best to go to bed and wake up at regular times, as well. If possible, rest in a dark, quiet room when you feel a headache coming on. Place an ice pack wrapped in a cloth on the back of your neck and apply gentle pressure to painful areas on your scalp. Try few things for your back pain: - Apply Ice and Heat Heating pads and cold packs can comfort tender trunks. Most doctors recommend using ice for the first 48 hours after an injury -- particularly if there is swelling — and then switching to heat. You can use whichever you find comforting as long as your skin is protected. - Limit Bed Rest Studies show that people with short-term low-back pain who rest feel more pain and have a harder time with daily tasks than those who stay active. -Keep Exercising Activity is often the best medicine for back pain. Simple exercises like walking can be very helpful. But remember to move in moderation, Stay away from strenuous activities like gardening and avoid whatever motion caused the pain in the first place. -Maintain Good Posture most people have poor posture when going about their daily activities, putting unnecessary strain on their backs. -Strengthen Your Core Most people with chronic back pain would benefit from stronger abdominal muscles. If the abdominals are weak, other areas must pick up the slack. When we strengthen the abdominals, it often reduces the strain on the lower back. - Improve Flexibility Too much tension and tightness can cause back pain. By increasing flexibility you need to put an equal load throughout the body from the feet all the way up to the head. -Sleep the Right Way The amount of rest you get is important, and so is the position you get it in. Sleeping in a bad position or on a mattress without support can cause back pain. Back sleepers should put pillows under their knees. Side sleepers should place pillows between their knees to keep their spine in a neutral position. Stomach sleeping causes the neck and head to twist and can put undue stress on the back. -Use Relaxation Techniques Research shows that practices such as meditation, deep breathing and yoga, which help put the mind at rest, can do wonders for the back. -See a Specialist Developing an individualized exercise plan is essential to managing chronic back pain. Some patients need more core strengthening while others benefit mainly from stretching and improving flexibility.

Hi lybrate-user. Healthy skin is coated in a thin layer of natural lipids, or fatty substances. They keep in moisture, leaving the skin soft and supple. Usually, something in the environment - or something you're doing to your skin - is stripping away these fatty oils, leaving your skin unprotected. Less often, the cause is internal; a health condition, menopause or genetic predisposition is making your skin dry out and causes pigmentation. Ayurveda refers this condition as vyanga. So here by I am advicing some medication along with some general tips to follow. Medication:- 1. Regular massage with tavishi (cold pressed coconut oil) daily twice a day, before bath and in before going to bed. 2. Regular applying a face mask. Arjunadi churna-with honey and leave it for 30 mons 3. Applying kumkumadi lepam daily in the night as a night cream general tips:- 1. Avoid:-a. Alcohol b. Junk food. C. Red meat. D. Dairy products. E. Condiments. F. Citrus fruits. 2. Avoid spicy & more salty food. 3. Take plenty of fruits. 4. Clean & clear face at least 3 times a day.

Hello Dr. I am suffering from back pain and I got MRI of lumber spine with hip joint screening done for it. The result says that" Spondylolysis noted at L5 level with minimal anterolisthesis of L5 over S1 vertebra. Vertebrae otherwise appear normal in size and shape and show normal marrow signal intensity. No evidence of discovertebral osteomyelitis or abnormal para- spinal collection. Dessicative changes seen involving L4-L5 intervertebral disc in form of reduced signal intensity on T2W images. Posterior bulging of L4-L5 disc is seen with annular tear indenting thecal sac. epiphyseal joints and para-spinal muscles are unremarkable. Lower dorsal cord and conus appear normal. No evidence of intraspinal mass. AP DIAMETERS: D12-L1 - 17 MM. L1-L2 - 17MM. L2-L3 - 16MM. L3-L4 - 15MM. L4-L5 - 12MM. L5-S1 - 13MM Coronal fat suppressed images through both S. I. & hip joints appear unremarkable except subtle focal hyperintense marrow signals involving sacrum on right side. Opinion: The Mr. findings show spondylolysis at L5 level with minimal anterolisthesis of L5 over S1 vertebra. Posterior bulging of L4-L5 disc with annular tear indenting thecal sac. The Dr. I've consulted suggest me the pain management treatment. In which medicine is injected at the part of pain. N the injection costs around RS 18000. But it's not the permanent solution he said. Now what should I do next. Please advise me the suitable treatment for my problem that solve my issue permanently. Thank you. Regards,

Hello dear there is no permanent treatment for it but injection or surgery gave long time effect in this. If you have sevear pain then go for these. If it is not too sevear then you have to consult with a good physiotherapists and take treatment of lumbar traction and ift or swd if give good relief. Even you go for blood test of vitamin b12 and vitamin d3 if there is deficiency then take supplement for it. Do regular exercise programme suggested by your physiotherapy doctor. It will subside for long time may be life long you don't get this pain. But firstly you have to take rest hot fermentation and continue with medicine. Thanks and regards.

Hi pradeep here are 6 ways to gain weight healthily: 1. Eating 5 to 6 meals a day in order to gain weight, start eating 5-6 meals a day by breaking them into parts. Eating a lot at once may cause indigestion if the body fails to absorb all nutrients. Eat in small amounts, even if you are not hungry and there will be an increase in appetite from day to day. The aim should be to have a generously portioned breakfast, lunch and dinner, as well as two to three snacks in between. 2. Start weight training if you build your muscles through weight training, it will convert the extra weight into lean body mass and also stimulate your appetite. The extra muscle increases the rate of metabolism. When you start exercising you will often experience extreme muscle soreness but it goes away in 3-5 days. 3. Load up on protein besides weight training, a protein-rich diet can help you gain mass. Eating a meal heavy in protein shortly after finishing exercise can be highly effective in adding extra pounds to your body. However, a diet focused only on lean protein is not helpful. It is important to make sure that your diet has plenty of fat in it. Eat foods rich in protein like cheese, meat, eggs, etc to gain weight in a healthy manner. 4. Workout your entire body a lot of people focus only on training the muscles on their arms, chest and shoulders and this is a grave error. Firstly, it will give you a disproportionate body; and it will make you prone to injuries. Therefore, it's important to work out the entire body for a complete and balanced look. 5. Drink your calories to reach the calorie requirement only by eating may be tough. Drinking milk, milkshakes or protein shakes with little or no sugar can be an effective way to load up on the calorie requirements. 6. Be patient and believe in yourself gaining weight quickly in a healthy manner is unrealistic. Every body type is different and it takes months to gain weight. Living healthy by eating the right diet will increase your strength. It is also important to keep following the routine even if you don't see any gains. Caution: junk food and fried foods must be avoided; although have a tendency to add more fat to your body but are very low in vitamins and minerals which are essentially required to keep you really fit.
