If every thing else is normal ((i take it for granted that you do not have any urine problem, no swelling over body, hypertension, diabetes)) this report suggest some dehydration, and some sort of lipid abnormality. Please take enough fluids daily, and get the tests repeated after 10 days. If the reports are abnormal again, consult a physican.

You may be suffering from obstructive sleep apnoea. To get rid of your problem you should loose weight, avoid alcohol and sleeping pills, avoid sleeping in supine posture and finally consult with an experienced ENT surgeon to know if you need surgery.

It takes time fir the edema to get settled. We assess the nose after 6 months. Nose is very delicate and made up of both bone and cartilages. Don't worry edema will subside soon.

I have been suffering from snoring since few years but it has been became very severe since past 2 or 3 months. It has become a problem for me and my family members. Please give valuable advice on this.

MBBS, cc USG
General Physician, Gurgaon
I am giving you some health tips for snoring problem Lifestyle changes to stop snoring Lose weight. If you’re overweight Exercise exercising your arms, legs, and abs, for example, also leads to toning the muscles in your throat, which in turn can lead to less snoring Quit smoking. smoking irritates the membranes in the nose and throat which can block the airways and cause snoring. Avoid alcohol, sleeping pills, and sedatives because they relax the muscles in the throat Establish regular sleep patterns. Create a healthy bedtime ritual with your partner and stick to it Clear nasal passages. If you have a stuffy nose Keep bedroom air moist. Dry air can irritate membranes in the nose and throat, so if swollen nasal tissues are the problem, a humidifier may help. Change your sleeping position. Elevating your head four inches may ease breathing Sleep on your side instead of your back Consult chest Physician for further management

I get frequent cold and sore throat when I am sitting under fan or in AC room. Advice?

MS - ENT, MBBS

I get frequent cold and sore throat when I am sitting under fan or in AC room. Advice?
Best thing is to avoid ac all together which is not practical. Therefore avoid sitting directly in front of the duct. Please see that regular servicing of ac is done. See that the temperature is not below 25 to 27 degrees.
