If the loss of weight is due to neonatal jaundice than he will regain weight very soon but we need to rule out any other pathology after clinical examination and his vital parameters should be monitored and its a good sign that he is drinking milk regularly and properly and after weight loss he has maintained his weight since last few days

HOW DO I CARE FOR MY CHILDS TEETH???

HOW DO I CARE FOR MY CHILDS TEETH???
Kids have all their baby teeth by age 3. These are called Primary teeth. Baby teeth start falling out around age 6; that’s when the permanent, or adult teeth start coming in. gaps between baby teeth are normal. They make room for the permanent teeth. Most permanent teeth come in by age 13

Tips to keep kids teeth healthy and strong:

0-2yrs
• Wipe gums with a wash cloth after feeding to avoid plaque that can cause tooth decay
• Start brushing twice daily using soft bristle tooth brush once first primary tooth erupts

3-5years
• Start using fluoride toothpaste at age 3- use only pea- sized amount. Make sure your child spits it out after brushing
• Try to break thumb sucking and pacifier habits by age 4

6-9 years
• Start flossing as soon as teeth touch/ contact each other
• Until children are able to practice proper oral health habits alone, parents should help their child brush and floss twice a day

10-12years
• Require children who plays support to wear a mouthguard to protect their smile

13+ years
• Parents can encourage their teens by reminding them that a healthy smile and fresh breath will help them look and feel their best.

Quick tips
1. Schedule your first dental appointment before child’s first birthday.
2. Start visiting your dentist every 6 months.

Hello , weight is less, but birth weight and feeding practices are important to assess. Also it depends on the height gain and weight gain pattern whether the child is having an issue or not. You should ask your pediatrician to plot the height and weight and head size on growth chart and keep monitoring growth every two months. This way you can make an informed decision and management can be done. I hope it helped Dr. Uppal growth, childhood diabetes and hormone specialist.

My baby is 2 months old she is struggling while nursing. During nursing she coughing ands she doing deep breath for 4 to 5 times after that. What to do doctor for overactive letdown. Now she vomits the milk.

My baby is 2 months old she is struggling while nursing. During nursing she coughing ands she doing deep breath for 4...
There could be several reasons for this struggling and coughing while nursing, most common reasons being incorrect positioning while nursing, and the correct position can be ensured by keeping her head at a higher level while feeding and also to ensure burping after each feed, also after burping, you must keep her in upright position for about 10 minutes before putting her down. Another reason why coughing and deep breath may happen is because she might be having a nasal block or cold (runny nose) which may make feeding a little difficult for her as babies are obligatory nasal breathers and while feeding taking breath becomes difficult for them. Mother's let down is not to worry about as it automatically gets adjusted according to the baby's feeding cycle when you feed her on demand.

My baby is four months old her weight is 4.8.My pedctrn said she need to putton.Shez on my feding i m hvg enough milk but she jus want to play i jus force fully feed her

No don't force her let her have her own way, if you feel she is not taking enough than take out the milk and spoon feed her. Forcing her during feeding will adversely affect her feelings.

Babies usually sleep during day time & are awake during night time for 4 to 6 weeks. Try to wake up & feed 2-3 times during night.

Don't feed forcefully. Give her available food at home of her choice n taste. Nutritious diet is best tonic. Consult pediatrician to look for any nutritious deficiency. If still you feel to get advice, may consult privately.

My son is 6 year old, a continuously bed wetting (one or two) by day one. What is the reason, how it goes away.

Most of the times bed wetting is inorganic. The approach in this case will be to look for organic causes which are those that needs treatment with medication or surgery. These are usually not needed. If the condition is inorganic, behaviour therapy could be instituted.
