Try this for joint pains try this. Identify the mid point between the ankle bone and tendons and give pressure with a blunt edge on either side of your foot for 2 minutes. Also give pressure in the web between 2nd and 3rd finger from your toe for 2 minutes. Finally give a good massage for both feet in hot water. Identify the dipping portion on the back of your knee folding. Press this dip with both middle fingers and hold your knee with your thumbs for support. Please swing 20 times morning and evenings. This will relieve your problem. Consult after 10 days.

And there are 5 lumbar vertebrae and the 5th lumbar vertebrae is anatomically is located in the lower end where the body weight is taken and it is generally fused with if your pain is there for many years then it is chronic pain. Ice can be kept in the low back where you have back pain. It is suggestible to wear lumbo sacral belt which would help you to build the abdominal muscle tone which itself would make you feel better. You can also wear mcr chappels which would help you to have less weight falling in the painful back. Sacral vertebrae. That is where the sciatic nerve passes by and the nerve gets compressed that's the reason you have pain and sensation is disturbed.

I am 68 yrs old and diabetic for the last 22 yrs. Had a fracture, calcanium left, in 2003 ; ok now even though wound is 99% closed still has a little pain while walking or doing yoga. You calcaneum pain could be due to degenerative changes in ankle or the subtalar joints, and also your shoulder pain could be due to degenerative changes setting in the joint and affected soft tissues. Latest x rays of ankle and affected shoulder can help us in understanding what grade of degeneration is there but if there is only localised pain with no other s/s of inflammation or infection, no swelling etc, the best way to go ahead is with - intensive physical therapy - short course of anti inflammatory medications which suits your body - adequate calcium and vitamin d supplementation as per requirement we will monitor your progress in 2 weeks time how you are doing with conservative treatment and can then take your case ahead. Avoid sitting cross legged. Avoid squatting- quadriceps exercises- lie straight, make a towel role and put it under the knee, press the keen against the role, hold it for 20 secs. Repeat 20 times twice a day. This will help relieve some pain. Core strengthening exercise- straight leg raised with toes turned outward, repeat 10 times, twice a day. Hams stretching- lie straight, take the leg up, pull the feet towards yourself, with a elastic tube or normal belt. Repeat 10 times, twice a day. Sports taping- stretch the tape from both ends and apply on the affected area contrast fomentation (hot and cold).

Kindly show me a photograph of the affected part. Rule out diabetes & vit. D deficiency or any other metabolic disorder. Sleep on a hard bed with soft bedding on it. Spring beds, folding beds or thick mattress are harmful Do hot fomentation. Paracetamol 250mg od & sos x 5days. Caldikind plus 1tab od x10. Do neck, back & general exercises. It may have to be further investigated. You will need other supportive medicines also. Make sure you are not allergic to any of the medicines you are going to take. If it does not give relief in 4-5 days, contact me again. Do not ignore. It could be beginning of a serious problem.

Hi Disc bulges indicate some herniation impinging nerves causing radiating pains. Use of cervical collar, isometric neck exercises, anti inflammatory drugs, and if your doctor agrees, cervical traction may be needed. If this doesn't help them surgery may be advised for disc removal, fusion of spine at these cervical levels best wishes.

Backache in young age is commonly due to 1. Muscle strain resulting from improper posture. 2. Intervertebral disc bulge or prolapse. X ray cannot diagnose soft tissue or muscle causes of back pain. MRI of lumbo sacral spine is needed for diagnosis. Follow these to get relief. 1. Take anti inflammatory drugs like Diclofenac or Etoricoxub with muscle relaxant combination round the clock for 7 days 2.Take rest for 3 days but avoid total bed rest. 4. Do back strengthening and stretching exercises daily once pain is relieved. 7.Apply analgesic cream over back followed by warm fomentation. 6. Keep pillow behind your knees at bedtime. While sleeping on sides keep pillow between knees. 7. Do not bend and lift weights. To lift anything from floor bend your knees and pick up. 8. If back pain is accompanied with radiating leg pain or tingling, numbness or weakness, consult immediately. Many cases of back pain do not repond to conservative treatment and require intervention like sacro iliac joint injection or epidural steroid injections to relieve pain. Treatment decision can be done only after detailed evaluation. Consult an interventional pain specialist in your city. For further queries consult again.

Probably is caused by compression of the c8 nerve in your neck. Usually this is caused by mild arthritis of the neck. Make sure you are not placing your body in a odd position in work e.g. Sleeping in a chair and make sure you are following proper ergonomic precautions. If your symptoms don't resolve then see a neurologist in person.

Mr. Lybrate-user its only fron 3 days do not worry. Apply heat fermentation along with diclofenac ointment twice a day. If not you can also take ultrasonic therapy to reduce pain.
