I really wanted to grow fat and gain weight. My weight had been 53-54 kg for the past 5 years. I tried to gain weight...
When you are trying to gain weight, you should eat food the rich in vitamins and minerals. 1. Healthy food includes meat, egg, milk, fruit vegetables, fruits, and nuts. Cashews, almonds, dates, walnuts, dry grapes, apricots, peaches are some of the dried fruits and nuts that can be added to breakfast, salads, cereal and desserts. Sesame seeds, ground nuts, and peanuts also contain fats in them and can help in adding that extra pounds you desire. 2. Sometimes loss of appetite may also cause weight loss. So you should take following remedies improving weight a]triphala kadha 4tsp before lunch and dinner b]amala juice 4 tsp + sugar 2 tsp+ honey 2 tsp empty stomach in the morning umami flavor increases satiety and enhances appetite. Due to improving hunger and digestion whatever you will eat more and even you eat more it will digest properly and your weight will increase naturally without any supplement.

I had sinus or migraine as one side face ache? Severe one sided face ache frequently what is it cure?

MBBS, MD - Anaesthesiology, FIPM, Fellowship in palliative medicine, certificate in interventional pain management
Pain Management Specialist, Pune
One sided facial pain is not due to migraine. It can be due to: 1. Tooth infection: Consult a dentist first to rule out dental pathology as cause of facial pain. 2. Sinusitis: Associated nasal congestion, features of upper respiratory infections are present. ENT consultation is needed. 3. Trigeminal Neuralgia: Sharp, shooting electric shock like pain in bursts felt along particular part of face It is easily relieved with medication and if needed intervention like Gasserian ganglion block. Consult a pain specialist for this. 4. Idiopathic facial pain: This condition is simply facial pain without any reason. This can be managed by medication and if needed injection. Consult a pain specialist for this. For detailed evaluation and treatment accordingly consult with a pain specialist.

I'M losing my hair as my father also has suffered from the same problem,I am age of 25 but i'm losing it.can you help me for that.

General Physician,
I'M losing my hair as my father also has suffered from the same problem,I am age of 25 but i'm losing it.can you help...
Hair loss is extremely common, affecting about 50 million men and 30 million women Hair-loss prevention depends on the underlying cause. Good hair hygiene with regular shampooing is a basic step but is probably of little benefit. Good nutrition, especially adequate levels of iron and vitamin B, is helpful. Treatment of underlying medical conditions like thyroid disease, anemia, and hormonal imbalances may useful in prevention. A good daily multivitamin containing zinc, vitamin B, folate iron, and calcium is a reasonable choice, CHECK your blood CBC, TSH, Serum ferritin and send repots to my in consult me option as I will not miss it in general question answer pool Here are a few things you can do to prevent your hair from falling: 1. Follow a healthy lifestyle, 2. Take care of your hair, 3. Avoid things bad for your hair, and 4. Adopt simple Home treatments. 1. Follow a Healthy Lifestyle Hair, like your skin and your nail, is often a barometer of general health. If you are healthy, your hair will probably look good. And if your hair is falling, it could be a sign of possible health problems. So everything you do for good health also applies to hair: eat your fruits and vegetables (Vitamin B, Iron, Calcium and Zinc have especially been linked to healthy hair); always consume a protein-rich diet (hair is made of proteins), and drink adequate water. Home treatments for healthy hair Make a paste of henna, curd, soaked and ground fenugreek, ground hibiscus flowers, ground gooseberries, and egg (all of them or any one) and apply it onto the hair and scalp for about an hour before shampooing. Done regularly, this will make your hair stronger and better-looking. But remember that henna is suitable only for dark colored hair because it tints hair red. Wash the hair out with decoction of tea or a bit of lemon squeezed into the water in which you will bathe. (for dandruff). Apply coconut or almond oil. If doing this daily does not appeal to you, apply the oil on the scalp overnight before shampooing, or apply a drop to the top of your head before you comb out your hair. MEDICATION The only medication approved for female pattern baldness is Minoxidil: •It is applied to the scalp. •For women, the 2% concentration is recommended. •Minoxidil may help hair grow in about 1 in 4 or 5 of women. In most women, it may slow or stop hair loss. •You must continue to use this medicine for a long time. Hair loss starts again when you stop using it. If Minoxidil does not work, your doctor may recommend other medicines, such as spironolactone, cimetidine, birth control pills, and ketoconazole, among others. Your doctor can tell you more about these if needed. HAIR TRANSPLANT During hair transplant, tiny plugs of hair are removed from areas where hair is thicker, and placed (transplanted) in areas that are balding. Minor scarring may occur where hair is removed. There is a slight risk of skin infection. You will likely need many transplants, which can be expensive. However, the results are often excellent and permanent. OTHER SOLUTIONS Hair weaving, hairpieces, or a change in hairstyle can help hide hair loss and improve your appearance. This is often the least expensive and safest way to deal with female pattern baldness. Outlook (Prognosis) Female pattern baldness is usually not a sign of an underlying medical disorder. Hair loss may affect self-esteem and cause anxiety. Hair loss is usually permanent. Prevention There is no known prevention for female pattern baldness.

Ways to Overcome Performance Anxiety During Sex

Ways to Overcome Performance Anxiety During Sex

Most of us our always worried sick about our performance in bed, but rather than worrying about it, we should try to invest emotionally in our relationship. Sex is supposed to be enjoyable, but it isn't always the case. If you are too preoccupied wondering about your physical appearance and your ability in bed, sex may make you feel more stressed than relaxed. This is known as sexual performance anxiety and can even get to a point where it makes you avoid sex altogether.

There may be many reasons for performance anxiety. Some of these are:

  • Fear that you will not be able to satisfy your partner sexually
  • Lack of self confidence and insecurity about your appearances
  • Difficulties in your relationship
  • The anxiety about not being able to have an orgasm
  • A man's fear of premature ejaculation or taking too long to orgasm

Thus this type of anxiety is not rooted in any type of medical problem. Rather than medication, a change in thinking and perception is required to treat performance anxiety.

Here are a few tips that can help you:

  1. Fight stress: Stress in your daily life can spill over to your bedroom as well. This can make sex a chore rather than something to be enjoyed. Recognize your stress triggers and find ways to eliminate them. Regular exercise can be very helpful in reducing stress.
  2. Prolong foreplay: Sex does not have a time limit or there is need to follow a set of steps. Like any other activity, your body needs to 'warm up' for sex as well. Instead of putting pressure on yourself to control or release your orgasm, get into the flow of the moment and take it slow. Try getting intimate with your partner in ways that do not involve sex such as a massage or having a shower together.

Communicate with your partner: Talk to your partner about how you feel. Understand that it is not necessary to have an orgasm every time you have sex. Talking to your partner can help ease some of the anxiety and improve your relationship.

Talk to a therapist: Asking for help is not a bad thing or something you need to be ashamed of. Therapists are trained to teach you about how to be more comfortable with your sexuality and can help eliminate the triggers of sexual performance anxiety.

Give up control: Do not hold yourself responsible for your erections or your partner's orgasms. To a large extent sexual responsiveness is governed by the unconscious mind and hence worrying does nothing.

Dietitian/Nutritionist, Mumbai
I am 22 years old guy. My weight is only 50 kg and height is 175 cm.
How can I increase my weight?
I am a registered dietitian and a doctor who will help you in managing your weight. You need to provide me your daily food intake details. There are many lifestyle and dietary guidelines that can be followed: take high protein prescribed diet, have paneer, eggs and potatoe daily. Incorporate dry fruits in your diet on a daily basis. Eat a balanced diet as prescribed by a registered dietitian, I being a registered dietitian and doctor have been successfully helping patients with their problem. I will also prescribe medicines that will speed up the time to achieve your weight management goals. Gradual weight management is always advisable. An increase in 500 kcal per day can result in increasing the body weight by 0.5 kgs per week. Objective should be to restore a desirable weight/ ideal body weight according to one's age, gender and height. To rebuild body tissues, to maintain a good nutritional status and to maintain ideal body weight. I will need to carry out detailed assessment in your case, after assessing your personal challenges to weight management, I will recommend a strategy to gradually change habits and attitudes that have sabotaged your past efforts. I being a both a registered dietitian (rd) and doctor have been successfully helping patients with their problems through a holistic approach using customized therapeutic diet and medications. I will also suggest home remedies. Do reply back for private consultation for rx.
