Dear Lybrate User, It is not clear how you came out of severe depression. If you were under some medication, then it is possible that these medicines have affected your sexual desire and erection. Please talk to your Doctor (who prescribed these medicines to you) about it. Since you have taken it probably only for a year there might not be any permanent damage. I would suggest - please talk to a Counsellor. Only medicines may work temporarily, in case of depression. But if you seek counselling help, you will be treating the root cause of your depression. You need to have regular counselling sessions. The Counselling sessions will help you to modify your thoughts so that you are out of depression and will have more self confidence. Many of the sexual problems are because of emotional issues and not any physical defects. Your present sexual problems might get resolved when you start feeling happy and confident. Please talk to a Counsellor at the earliest. Take care.

Hello, I would suggest you to seek help from a professional as you are suffering for a year now. Depression is a state where there is a chemical imbalance in your body, it is a physiological condition and not purely psychological. Depression if treated earlier have a good prognosis. Please see someone and if need be you could start medication. Once you are on medication and you are feeling positive changes then you also incorporate following suggestions to help build resilience, which will help you manage your stress in a better way and you would be able to lead and happy and fulfilling life ahead. To begin with doing guided progressive muscular relaxation before sleeping will help you relax. You could download an audio file. I would also suggest you to take a multiple small break to take 3 nice and deep breath while keeping your eyes closed. You could do this while sitting or standing or while even walking or climbing stairs (keep your eyes open in that case). When you take a nice and deep break there is actual physiological change in your body. Thus will help you to activate parasympathetic nervous system which promotes relaxation and helps you calm down and think more clearly. This will also actually improve your performance in your work. Along with this exercise is one of the best way to relive stress and stay fit. Engage in any kind of physical activity at least 4 times a week. This also helps in stress reduction. Along with this some relaxation exercises as well as engaging in joyful activities such as music, singing, dancing, reading, being in nature, gardening, talking with friends or anything which you enjoy will help reducing stress and rejuvenation of your mind and body. Have good routine for sleep and eating. Lot of research has now proven that sugar is very harmful for our health. Reduce sugar and refined white floor in your diet as much as you could. Along with this also increase consumption of raw vegetables in the form of salad in both the meals of your day. Hello, Gaining weight is a slow process which requires patience and dedication! It not only depends upon the amount of food you consume daily, but also about eating Sensibly, depends upon your genes, your body's proper metabolism, assimilation and absorption, the levels of stress/ tension in your life, and any underlying medical condition you have! The food what and how you eat, makes the difference! For increasing your weight, concentrate on the below points (if you don’t have any medical condition) which helps in gaining weight in a right way without harming your body. - Consume more healthy fats. Foods containing healthy fats are full of nutrients and also high in calories, making them a great option for weight gain. Foods containing plant fats should be your first option - this includes items such as nuts, seeds, peanut butter, avocados and olive oil. Foods containing healthy animals fats include lean meats and full fat dairy products - although if you have high cholesterol, you should probably stick to low-fat options. -Eat more protein. Good sources of protein include lean meat, fish and poultry, in addition to eggs, whole grains, dairy products and legumes. -Drink more calories. Try drinking a large glass of orange juice in the mornings (along with your normal breakfast). Drink a glass or two of full-cream milk throughout the day. -Have 6 small and frequent meals in a day. -Gain muscle mass. It's a good idea to continue to exercise while you attempt to gain weight the healthy way. Strength training includes working with weights and performing exercises such as squats, deadlifts, bench presses, bicep curls, crunches, chin-ups and leg curls. Just keep in mind that the more you exercise, the more calories you will need to consume to replace those you lost while working out. -Quit smoking. As it suppresses the appetite. -Stay healthy. The most important thing through the entire weight gain process is to stay healthy - eating a balanced diet and continuing to exercise throughout. -Take enough of rest and sleep for rejuvenation of the cells and tissues. -Think Positive which will help you in achieving your target of gaining weight. -Avoid taking unnecessary stress/ tension. Medication: Take Schwabe’s Alfaalfa Tonic and Five Phos. Both thrice daily ½ an hour before meals for 3months. Revert.

Apply hot fomentation twice daily. Avoid bending in front. Postural correction- sit tall, walk tall. Extension exercises x 15 times x twice daily - lying on tummy, take left arm up for 3 seconds, then bring it down, right arm up for 3 seconds, bring down. Bring right leg up, hold for 3 seconds, bring it down. Then right leg up and hold for 3 seconds and bring it down. Repeat twice a day- 10 times. Bhujang asana -- lie flat on your stomach, keeping the palms out, bend the neck backward, take a deep breath and while holding it for 6 seconds, raise the chest up. Release breath and relax your body. Repeat the exercise 15 times twice daily. Core strengthening exercises- straight leg raised with toes turned outward, repeat 10 times, twice a day.

Diet for prevention dengue foods which can easily get digested like having boiled food, green vegetables, fruits like banana, apples, soups. Try to drink plenty of water or any liquid drink such as juices, coconut water, ORS etc which in turn prevents from dehydration. Try to avoid the food which is oily, spicy and salty. And if you want to maintain the taste of your mouth you can drink lemon juice.

She do really feel cold on the fist of her legs every night while sleeping. It makes really tough for her to sleep. Now a days she wear a pair of socks during her sleep. Please note that this is due to poor circulation of blood due to any reason - whether it is narrowing of blood vessels/deposits in veins/several conditions, including nerve damage (peripheral neuropathy), sometimes seen in diabetes, chronic alcohol abuse, or in certain vitamin deficiencies. You need to change your medicines is you are taking any to see if this helps you. Please take Rhus tox 30 - twice daily 4 pills for next 2 weeks and give me a feedback.

Hello, I advice you to get consulted by a Spinal Physiotherapist in order to get rid of 3months old pain. Most of the back pain at younger age are Mechanical and Idiopathic. What happens usually is the Pelvis complex goes for Positional Fault or wrong biomechanics which a skilled Spinal Manual Therapist or a Spinal Surgeon only can diagnose. Once evaluated, it will be easy to treat and vet benefitted. If it fails, seek advice from a Spinal Surgeon.

Not all patients of backache need surgery. Most of them can be managed without operation. Mri report must be interpreted in relation to the clinical condition of the patient. If a random survey is done in any population then these changes as described in your mri report will be present in more than 50% of people. Dear, These are the causes of acne: • excessive sebum production (sebum is oily secretion from the gland). • Due to hormonal imbalance. These are the methods & instructions to avoid acne: • To control the sebum secretion you should maintain your hormonal level. Because imbalance in hormone level causes excessive sebum production and causes acne. So do not take stress and do exercise daily such as running, jogging and long breathing exercises. • Use oil free face wash and drink 7 -8 glass of water daily. • Do not touch your pimple because your finger transfer bacteria to it and make it worse. If you touch it then clean your face with water. * Take cucumber and papaya pulp. Mix it well and add 1 tablespoon Turmeric. Make a paste and apply it on face and leave it for 15 minutes. • Use a face pack of fuller's earth (multani mitti) with rose water one time in a day for seven days. It removes toxins from skin. * Take 2 teaspoon of RAKTASHODAK SYRUP of BAIDYANATH company once a day. • Steam your face to open the pores, which in turn clear the skin. Steam your face for a couple of minutes.

If the mouth ulcer is causing a lot of pain, gently rub a small ice cube over the spot or rinse your mouth with ice-cold water. You could also chew on a clove bud (lavang) and direct the juice generated to the area where the ulcer is located. Clove buds are a great ingredient to cure sore throat too. To prevent the ulcerated area from getting infected, make it a point to rinse your mouth with a little salt water. Remember, this won’t make the ulcer disappear, but it can help reduce the pain. Honey is a natural humectant. It helps reduce scarring and hastens the process of new tissue growth. This, along with its anti-microbial effect ensures faster healing of the mouth ulcer. Chew a few leaves of tulsi along with some water about three to four times every day. This will help in getting rid of ulcers faster and also have a preventive action against their recurrence. Applying a little coconut oil directly onto the mouth ulcer or chewing some coconut (fresh or dry) helps reduce pain and inflammation and hence, ulcers heal faster. Mix some sugar to crushed khus-khus seeds and consume this mixture for instant relief from ulcers. You could apply a little ghee directly to the ulcerated area, or drink a glass of buttermilk two or three times every day. Mouth ulcers left untreated generally go away in a week or so; with these home remedies, you can expect faster relief. However, if you notice an ulcer in the mouth that is persistently present although it does not cause you any pain, do not neglect it or try to treat it with home remedies beyond a few days. Make it a point to see a doctor soon because often, a painless mouth ulcer is one of the earliest signs of oral cancer.

I get severe low back pain (near coccyx bone) during travel. I had a previous h/o fall twice and I injured my lower hip. After having consulted the doc, I was told to have a micro fracture of coccyx which will settle by itself in time. Still, I have problems if I sit for more than an hour. Please suggest!

1. Anyone will have problems for sitting more than half an hour:) and after a fracture in d spine, its must. So avoid prolonged sitting and specially putting pressure/stress on the particular portion. So always sit wid your back straight and supported wid hands frequently or placing pillow on your back. 2. Walk in between wenever you have to sit for hours. 3. Use a lumbo secral belt. 4. Do spinal flexibility exercises for a short period of time in d morning after bed. Avoid forward bending across30 degree.

Back stretching- lie flat, pull one of the knee forward to chest, hold for 3 seconds, then bring the other knee forward to the chest and again hold for 3 seconds. Then pull both knees towards the chest and hold for 3 seconds. Repeat 10 times each exercise twice a day. Do the cat/cow stretch. Get on all fours, with your arms straight and your hands directly under your shoulders; your knees hip-width apart.

Hi, I am Dipesh from AHMEDABAD. I hv severe problem due to which I am suffering a lot. I do feel fatigue and drowsiness always specifically after lunch. It is morning also. I can wake up with fresh even after 8 hours sleep. Specifically after lunch my condition become very severe. Even if I don't do anything, from my face & eyes anyone can see that I'm good tired. There is no harm in taking a small nap of about 30 to 45 mnts in the afternoon to get fresh again make sure yiu have a daily active and interesting routine of work activities hobbies and exercises avoid fried spicy junk food along with excessive use of tea coffee areated drinks sweets etc take one cap of supradyn daily for three months.
