migrane can be managed with lifestyle changes and medications, try muscle relaxation exercises. Relaxation may help ease the pain of a migraine headache. Get enough sleep, but don't oversleep. Get an adequate amount of sleep each night. It's best to go to bed and wake up at regular times, as well. Rest and relax. If possible, rest in a dark, quiet room when you feel a headache coming on. Place an ice pack wrapped in a cloth on the back of your neck and apply gentle pressure to painful areas on your scalp. It is very important keep a headache diary. Continue keeping your headache diary even after you see doctor. It will help you learn more about what triggers your migraines and what treatment is most effective. A dose of riboflavin in appropriate dose as prescribed by me, also may prevent migraines or reduce the frequency of headaches. Coenzyme q10 supplements may decrease the frequency of migraines, magnesium supplements may also be used to treat migraines do reply back for medication prescriptions. Being also a general physician and registered dietitian, I prescribe both evidence based herbal as well as allopathic medicines complementing with dietary guidelines and home remedies carefully personalized for each individual patient.

I am 60 years old man already taking telma h for bp and atorlip 5 for cholesterol. When tested my blood two days back, the sugar level in fasting is 107, pp 156 (1 hr after breakfast). Cholestrol 160, hdl 36, ldl 108. Is 156 after meals sugar level is alarming. I am already sweet lover. Can I eat dates, banana and other sweet fruits. Any restriction I eating chocolates/sugar etc. I am a very health conscious man spend minimum 30 minutes for walking and rest of the day just sit and relax. Your valuable guidance is solicited. high cholesterol can cause atherosclerotic heart disease or narrowed coronary arteries in the heart can cause the symptoms of angina, when theheart muscle is not provided with enough oxygen to function. Decreased blood supply to the brain may be due to narrowed small arteries in the brain or because the larger carotidarteries in the neck may become blocked. This can result in a transient ischmic attack or stroke. Peripheral artery disease describes gradual narrowing of the arteries that supply the legs. During exercise , if the legs do not get enough blood supply, they can develop pain , called claudication . Other arteries in the body may also be affected by plaque buildup causing them to narrow, including the mesenteric arteries to the intestine and the renal arteries to the kidney. Avoid fast foods,oily foods,junk foods,alcohol,smoking,fatty foods, non-veg.,avoid stress, take green veg., whole grain. Take anti cholesterol medicines .

Sleep on a hard bed with soft bedding on it. SPRING BEDS, FOLDING BEDS OR THICK MATRESS ARE HARMFUL Use no pillow under the head. DO HOT FOMANTATION. Paracetamol 250mg OD & SOS x 5days. Caldikind plus 1tab OD x10. Do neck, back & general exercises. It may have to be further investigated. You will need other supportive medicines also. Make sure you are not allergic to any of the medicines you are going to take. If it does not give relief in 4-5days, contact me again.. Do not ignore .It could be beginning of a serious problem.

Hi lybrate user a) take 10 ml of fresh lemon juice, ginger juice and 1 tsf of jaggery along with 60 ml of water early in the morning on empty stomach and after meals. Do this for 30 days it gives you good result thanks.

Get your hemoglobin, stool examined for worms. I got my 6 weeks old daughter vaccinated for DTaP with Pentaxim. She is due for her next vaccination at 10th week in 10th of September. Pentaxim is not available where I live so please suggest a substitute for the same and also advise if I can switch over to DTwP wholecell vaccine for DTP like Pentavac SD from DTaP vaccines like Pentaxim considering its cost and effectiveness. Still it is not very clear that dtap can be replaced by" w" or vice versa during primary vaccination for maintaining its efficacy but may be replaced for booster doses. I suggest since you are not living at place where" a" is not available, switch over to vaccine which is available at your place and continue as per schedule. There may be substitute for maker of vaccine but not for vaccine. Your query about difference of two vaccine is very pertinent in today's scenario. Dtap (a) v/s dtwp (w)- both are effective" a" is slightly lesser painful, causes low fever but immunity is shorter and is costly to parents than" w" a" was being promoted on ground of its painless & no fever. There are specific vaccines for specific pneumonia. Every vaccine is good. For these vaccines, consult pediatrician face to face.

It seems to be due to wax and wax is removed by ear drop and if wax is not coming outside by using ear drops, a small procedure name syringing is required for removal of wax Consult ENT doctor.

I am male 54 years of age, weight 61 kg/height-5'8" My fasting blood sugar level varies between 145-220 since last 2 years. I am not taking any medicine except patanjali Madhunashini 2 tabs twice a day. I am not feeling any specific problem like frequent urinating, weight gain etc. My father was also a diabetic patient. My diet is normal and I am non-veg. My physical activity is very less. I walk approx. 2-3 km few times a week Please advice some medicine and diet plan so that I could control my sugar level. There is no need for medicines. Cut down on sugar and other sweet ad you have figt and igt or prediabetes. If overweight reduce weight by regular 45 ninutes brisk walkjng and reducing diet intake by 20%. Cut down on oil that is lessthan 500mlor mg per person.

Home remedy for Dry Cough: 5 basil leaves, 4 black pepper, 4 munakka, 5 gms liquorice (mulethi), 3 gms banafsha - boil these in 200 ml of water till it becomes 100 ml. Filter it. Add 2-3 pzatasha in it and drink lukewarm for 3-4 nights...sleep well covered. Dry cough will be relieved. Also continue to chew Mulethi. you can also have Steam with vicks although some herbal medicines might also help you but after proper history taking.
