Investigations advised - hb, tlc, dlc, esr, sugar f & pp, uric acid, vit d3 urine r/e x ray of the affected part. Anyway you may try- sleep on a hard bed with soft bedding on it. Spring beds, folding beds or thick mattress are harmful use no pillow under the head. Do hot fomentation. Paracetamol 250mg od & sos x 5days. Caldikind plus 1tab od x10. Do neck back knee & general exercises. It may have to be further investigated. Make sure you are not allergic to any of the medicines you are going to take. For emergency treatment see your nearest hospital or family doctor. If it does not give relief in 4-5days, inform me.

Hello lybrate user, back pain in a young patient such as yourself would alert me towards the possibility of an infection such as tuberculosis or other bacteria. Infection is usually associated with fever, loss of appetite, loss of weight, etc. Other causes may be trauma leading to a soft tissue injury or a bony fracture. Some patients might also be suffering from slip disc. Other rare causes could be spinal deformity, tumors, etc. But to arrive at an accurate diagnosis you need to go through a clinical assessment by a qualified orthopaedician or a spine surgeon. You should initiate with gentle anti inflammatory medication, intensive physical therapy, adequate calcium and vitamin d intake, posture counseling and exercises and lifestyle modifications. Also it is imperative to keep your sugar levels under control, that is best done under supervision of a diabetologist, and if you have also undergone angioplasty, then a cardiologist care is also important. Go for an mri ls spine 3d diagnose the reason of pain. Take dashmool kwath 30 ml with 1 teaspoon of castor oil at bed time.(note: if history of loose motion then don't add castor oil or take my advise) if you are not hypertensive than take vishmushti vati 125 mg three times a day. Trayodashang gyggal 500 mg three times a day. Arogyavardhini vati 250 mg three times before meals. (note: if you suffer with loose motion or frequent motion problem than don't take) I can advise bhujang asan but withouht mri or examination I can't alow you to do as it needs to be done under guidance.

.Extension Exercises x 15 times x twice daily – Lying on tummy, take left arm up for 3 seconds, then bring it down, right arm up for 3 seconds, bring down. Bring right leg up, hold for 3 seconds, bring it down. Then right leg up and hold for 3 seconds and bring it down. Repeat twice a day- 10 times. Bhujang Asana? Lie flat on your stomach, keeping the palms out, bend the neck backward, take a deep breath and while holding it for 6 seconds, raise the chest up. Release breath and relax your body. Repeat the exercise 15 times twice daily. Core Strengthening Exercises- Straight Leg Raised With Toes Turned Outward, repeat 10 times, twice a day.

Kindly show me a photograph of the affected part. Rule out diabetes & vit. D deficiency or any other metabolic disorder. Sleep on a hard bed with soft bedding on it. : keep your leg raised while sitting or lying quadriceps strengthening exercises- quad clenches: lie flat on your back or sit upright on a chair with leg kept horizontally on another surface. Now, tighten the muscle on the front of the thigh by pushing your knee down. You should feel your thigh muscles clench, hold for 3 secs. Repeat 10 times twice a day. Short arcs: lie flat on your back or sit upright with your leg placed horizontally on a flat surface like a chair or bed. Place a rolled up towel under the knee. Pull your toes towards you and clench you thigh muscles. Slowly lift your foot up off the bed until your knee is straight (keep your knee resting on the towel). Hold for 3 secs and slowly lower them on the chair. Repeat 10 times twice a day. Straight leg raise: lie flat on your back. One leg and knee will be straight and other leg should be bent. Pull your toes towards you and tighten/clench the muscle on the front of the thigh, locking your knee straight. Lift your foot up in the air, about 6 inches off the.

Gentle massage over knees with lukewarm herbal pain relieving oils daily for about 15-20 minutes and hot fomentation afterwards will greatly help in subsiding the pain. These procedures would give strength to your knee and reduce the pain and stiffness. Regular oiling the joint will improve the lubrication also. Use knee caps over the joints and avoid over exertion of the joint. This will greatly help. Although some herbal medicines might also help you but after proper history taking. 1)DO NOT bend forwards.Bending forward does no good to anyone.It might twist your spine for all you know.So whenever you need to bend and pick up something,bend your knees first and not your back and pick up.A slipped disk (also called a herniated disk) happens when a disk between the bones of the spine bulges and presses on nerves,this is often caused by twisting while lifting.Hence,kep your back straight and bend at your knees. DO NOT bend over to lift anything heavy off the ground with knees straight.Lift heavy items with your legs, not your back. Do NOT maintain any one position for a prolonged period.If you have been sitting for an hour,take a break walk for sometime and then continue with your work. Same applies if you have been standing for a prolonged time,take a break and sit for sometime.Stretch your muscles and relax.The best way to stand for a prolonged time is the hotel bar position: one foot on the ground and the other foot on the brass rail, when rail is not available use any raised platform.Every 5 to 15 minutes, switch the foot you’re resting on the stool. you normally wont need a brace after ACL reconstruction . Some surgeons would prefer to use it though. But 5 months down the line - brace is not indicated. If you have completed your physio exercises (closed chain exercises) then jogging wouldnt be a problem. however you have to avoid contact sports for atleast 9 months
