For fever take tablet paracetamol 650 mg and Get your blood checked for cbc, mp , widal , sgpt and urine r/m and revert back to us with reports

Ayurvedic Remedies for Acidity

The acids help the body dissolve the food particles and also break it down to more basic elements. However, when the body produces too much acid, it causes acid reflux which can cause discomfort. Too much acid within the body, which is also known as hyperacidity, can be caused by a multitude of factors.

Known and effective Ayurvedic cures: Ayurveda considers acidity to be a 'Pitta' problem and it can be corrected by following certain simple steps. There are other food ingredients which are also used as remedial tools. Let's have a look at some of the dos and don'ts of Ayurvedic remedies for acidity.

Don'ts for acidity according to Ayurveda:

1. Limit junk food and other foods, which are very heavy in fats and processed items: Most processed foods and junk food usually made in stores contain unhealthy fats. The stomach needs to produce more acid in order to digest them and thus may end up causing acidity.

2. Stop excessive consumption of tea, coffee: Stop consumption of caffeinated beverages such as tea, coffee and other caffeine injected drinks which may encourage the production of more stomach acids.

3. Stop the consumption of alcohol and cooperates: Apart from being generally bad for health as both of these are known contributors of cancers, they can even affect smaller day to day functions and can lead to acidity.

4. Don't consume foods which are high in acidic content: If you tend to like food which is very high in acidic content, it is advisable to limit its consumption. Some examples of this are:

  1. Vinegar
  2. Curds
  3. Pickles
  4. Tamarinds
  5. Sour citrus fruits
  6. Salty fried foods

Dos for acidity according to Ayurveda:
There are multiple solutions for acidity in Ayurveda which have been known cures for generations. Let's take a look at some of these.

  1. Do have meals on time: It is best to not skip meals as this can cause the acidity levels within the stomach to rise if it doesn't have any food to digest. It is especially harmful to skip breakfast and then have a heavy lunch to compensate.
  2. Do have amla or Indian gooseberry: This is a very effective weapon against acidity and chewing a few morsels will easily cure the problems in your stomach.
  3. Pomegranate Juice: Very small quantities of Pomegranate juice on a daily basis will be very beneficial for a bad case of acid reflux.
  4. Coconut water: Drink coconut water as it is known to have properties to neutralize the stomach acids.
  5. Aniseed: Also known as saunf, you can chew them raw and slowly swallow with water for quick relief from acidity.
  6. Jeera: Jeera consumed with warm ghee and then mixed with rice tends to be very good for acidity as well. If you wish to discuss about any specific problem, you can consult a ayurveda and ask a free question.

Hello Doctor, I am a professional working in customer service industry. So working in a little bit pressure environment and working with laptop till 2-4 hours a day. 6 months back, I felt a pain in my head which starts from the back of my neck and spread in the head. It was happening 1-2 times a week so every-time I took saridon tablet and got relief in 2-3 hours. Nearby Diwali around 3 months back, I feel that this problem has become almost daily and I was not getting relief even after taking saridon tablet so I visited a hospital and the psychologist suggested me medicine of migraine. Within 3 days, I felt my memory loss and I was unable to work so leave the medicine within 3 days considering it a very deep side effect. Then I had visited Lady Harding Medical Hospital-Connaught Place Delhi, and psychologist gave me medicine for 15 days. I felt very much relief with that medicine but unfortunately I couldn't visited there again. Also, their medicine was giving me relief but still I had felt some issues like I forgot lots of things happened in my life few days/weeks/month ago like my travel/plans/movement, any particular scenario etc. Till now, I was feeling ok but again facing the similar issue. I have tested my eyes and it is ok. Fearing about the side effects, I don't want to visit that hospital again so you are requested to kindly suggest me for the same.

Text Neck is an overuse syndrome or a repetitive stress injury to the neck caused by holding your head in a forward and downward position for extended periods of time. When holding your head in this position, excessive amounts of tension are created in the deep muscles of your neck and across the shoulders causing both acute and chronic neck pain. Hi if you are suffering from fever frequently that means your digestive power is very weak. And due to this whatever you eat it will not provide nutrition to your bdy and so your immunity get down and so you have fever frequently so if your digestion is better then this will not happens again and again. Take followimg remedies first of all you should follow some basic thing 1. Avoid=hot and cold at time 2. Less the sugar as much as possible if you want to eat sweet take juggery which is black 3. Do not drink water after meal drink at the time of meal sip by sip up to 150 ml 4. Avoid late night sleep 5. Panchamrut parpati 1 tab before lunch and dinner 6. Audumbaravleha 2 tsp before lunch and dinner.

I got cramps whenever I do crunches or leg raise. I just want to get rid of them. Please suggest.

Leg cramps it could be due to a) peripheral neuropathy, muscle strain, dehydration, over exertion, b) compression of nerve as in lumbar stenosis, mineral deficiency (calcium, magnesium, potassium, diabetes, liver, thyroid disease treatment 1. Take good nourishing diet with plenty of green leafy vegetables and, fruits 2. Drink plenty of water with electral/ors powder 3. Take multi vitamin supplement like one capsule of polybion daily 3. Massaging cramped muscle, take pain killer like one tablet of crocin advance sos after food up to a maximum of three tablets per day 4. Hot fomentation by heating pad, warm water bath 5. Stretching exercise etc 6. Take adequate rest, avoid over exertion and dehydration 7. Consult physician for further advice and treatment.

Don't jump to taking medicine. Instead first try some measures like walking 20-30 mins after dinner. Avoid eating late. Do regular exercise. As this kind of trouble starts because of sedentary lifestyle. And no matter what Medicine you take it will not go until the cause is not treated.
