I have a 45 day old french mastiff that has lameness in his hind legs that started 24 hours after administering puppy DP. He is alert and active, eating fine, not throwing up and no fever. What could be the cause and what is the cure?

MVSc (Ph.D)
Veterinarian,
It is just trauma to the nerve, it happens sometimes giving a prick, by a vet. But don't bother, it will go, analgesics will give relief very soon but not necessary. I suggest, analgesic (pain killer) ointment daily two-three times is enough & light massage.

My dog aged 4 years suffers from bad breath. I have tried brushing his teeth, which he does not like and is such a waste of time and energy. What should I do?

MVSc, BVSc
Veterinarian,
I' m sure he must be enjoying taste of toothpaste too! please speak to your vet a schedule a dental cleaning/scaling appointment. Rule out other causes of bad breath such as - improper bowel movements, excess worm load etc.

My street dog pup is 1 month old .not having any feed from yesterday morning. And is crying having cramps need medical help .pls suggest me medicine or any injection my sis is mbbs and she can inject the pup maybe.

MVSc (Ph.D)
Veterinarian,
Streat dog means uncared one & will have infection both microbial as ell as parasitic or even hepatitis, it is better to exam stools for worm infection, Assuming, the mixed infection, you may give, Antibacterial, antifungal & anthelmintics, After this, you give Live tonic, with B, Complex, oral feeding woth suplements. With Milk, Egg, Raagi gruel it will be allright. If Temp, is noiticed small amount of paracetamol say 50 mg will take care. Do this it will be allright.

How to identify that my dog has fever for two days he is not eating anything there is changes in him.

Masters Of Veterinary Science In Veterinary Surgery And Radiology

If possible you can take Rectal temperature. If it’s more than 102.5 degree Fahrenheit, it may be fever. If fever is there go for routine blood test to know the cause of fever.

Veterinarian,
You can apply neem oil on its wound, so that your dog will stop licking the wound due to its smell and taste, and need oil is also heals wound and acts as antibacterial and antifungal medicine.
