Can drinking water with lemon prevent kidney stones? Also, I have been told not to drink city water. What is the best water to drink?

Can drinking water with lemon prevent kidney stones? Also, I have been told not to drink city water. What is the best...
1) Drink plenty of clean water.- Drinking at least four liters of water every day will not only help prevent kidney stones from forming, but also quickly eliminate any small stones that may have already formed. 2) Add fresh lemon, lime and apple cider vinegar to daily beverages. -Taking this a step further, adding fresh lemon or lime juice, or apple cider vinegar, to your beverages throughout the day will help alkalize your body, effectively blocking the formation of kidney stones. These alkalizing juices will also help quickly dissolve any existing stones that might be present in your kidneys, keeping them clean and stone-free. 3) Eat foods that are naturally high in calcium - Dietary calcium actually binds with calcium oxalate, the substance that makes up most kidney stones, and crystallizes and flushes it from the body before it has a chance to form into stones. The best foods in this category include leafy greens, cruciferous vegetables, nuts and seeds, and raw, grass-fed milk and butter 4) Supplement with magnesium citrate, B vitamins every day-, Be sure to eat plenty of magnesium-rich foods every day -- these include avocados, broccoli, raw cacao, beans, bananas, and lentils 5) Stick to a 'low oxalate' diet. - Eliminate high oxalate foods from your diet if you have a propensity for kidney stones. Such foods include black tea, grains, and certain nuts and vegetables.

Stones lesser than 5 mm size may be expelled with help of medicines. For stones larger than 5 mm size surgical removal is recommended.

Hello lybrate-user, you seem to be suffering from irritable bowel syndrome if your sugars are normal. You need to make a timetable for eating and going to toilet and for urination too. You need to keep 2-3 hrs gap between eating and you should not eat too much. You should only eat till your stomach feels little full. And include fruit salads or vegetable salads in between breakfast and lunch and between lunch and dinner. You need to eat very slowly, after chewing food properly. You can control toilet and urine. So wait till it becomes very urgent and then only visit washroom. And do let me know after 1 week how r you feeling.

Which is better medicine for CKD patient NEFROSAVE or CELIZAREN? And why? Please suggest me.

Which is better medicine for CKD patient NEFROSAVE or CELIZAREN? And why? Please suggest me.
Taurine in combination with N-acetylcysteine that present in NEFROSAVE is useful in attenuating UACR and sTGF-β1 levels in microalbuminuric type 2 diabetic patients. The benefits of taurine therapy on kidney function and blood pressure are noteworthy and may be useful in preventing the deterioration of microalbuminuria. It is a renoprotective therapy.

I was diagnosed with UTI with multi drug resistant bacteria which is resistant to all antibiotic but nitro fur antibiotic. My Uro doctor gave me Nitrofurantoin 100 mg to be taken every 6 hours and asked to get admitted immediately if I get fever or nausea. It’s been 5 days, I am taking the meds. I did not get nausea or fever but burning while peeing is as it is. Next visit to Uro is after 10 days. How can I know for sure if meds are working? Apart from this I am taking raw garlic, yogurt and cranberry juice daily.
