No its not normal. Your overall cholesterol level is 252. Please check lipid profile. So you can know whether triglycerides is above the normal or ldl. To reduce cholesterol levels, you need to involve in both medications and yoga. When dealing with medications, considering your age I suggest traditional nature healing method -ayurveda nd naturopathy. Hearing your cholesterol levels of 252 at this age, exercise must be done daily for 30 minutes. You need to burn up atleast 800 cal of energy with intake of 1500 cal intake. So if your intake is more then burning up should be done wisely. Follow a regular diet too. All the best.

Hello, Practicing yoga with homoeopathic medication helps you in releasing the stress from your body. Brisk walk in a park will help you inhale more fresh air and oxygen for good functioning of the cells and tissues of the body. Medication: Take Schwabe’s Bacopa Monierri 1x/ thrice daily and Kali Phos. 6x/ once at night. Yogasana: Practice the following poses if you don’t have any medical condition or pregnancy or else take an advice from your concern doctor and then only perform these. 1. Balasana: Sit on your heels with your big toes touching and hands resting on your thighs. Lower your belly and chest to rest between your knees, bringing your forehead to the floor. Relax your arms back beside your shins, palms facing up. Soften your breath by taking 5 to 10 long, deep inhalations and exhalations. 2. Savasana: lie back, letting your body sink into and open around the support. End in a supported pose on your back with a folded blanket under the length of the spine to help arch the upper and middle back, and lengthen the lower back. Move your arms a comfortable distance away from your body and anything else around you. Turn your palms to face up. Separate your legs a natural distance apart. Relax your feet and let them roll open. Finally, do a mental scan from head to toe: Where are you holding tension. Release it from every part of your body—including your heart and head. 3. Bhujanasana: Slowly slide forward from Child's Pose to lie facedown. Press your toes and forehead gently into the floor. Rest your palms lightly on the floor on either side of your chest with fingertips pointing forward and elbows bent and hugging in toward your ribcage. Inhale and lift your chest from the heart, pressing only very lightly into your palms and mostly using your back strength to hold your shoulders and chest up. Soften your shoulders. Then lift your hands off the floor completely, broadening across your collarbones and reaching your heart up. Take a couple of deep, slow breaths here. Then as you exhale, place your palms back down and gently lower your chest to floor. For Hypertension: Few lifestyle changes can help you in controlling and preventing the high blood pressure, even if you're taking blood pressure medication. Eat healthy foods. Consume more fruits, vegetables, whole grains, poultry, fish and low-fat dairy foods. Eat less saturated fat and trans fat. Decrease the salt in your diet. So, avoid eating processed foods, such as canned soups or frozen dinners which contains extra salt in it. Keeping a healthy weight, or losing weight if you're overweight or obese, can help you control your high blood pressure and lower your risk of related health problems. Increase physical activity which can help lowering your blood pressure, manage stress, reduce your risk of several health problems. Get indulged in regular exercising (if your doctor allows you). Limit alcohol. Even if you're healthy, alcohol can raise your blood pressure. If you choose to drink alcohol, do so in moderation. Don't smoke. Tobacco injures blood vessel walls and speeds up the process of hardening of the arteries. Reduce stress as much as possible. Practice healthy coping techniques, such as muscle relaxation, deep breathing or meditation. Getting regular physical activity and plenty of sleep can help, too. Monitor your blood pressure at home. Medication: Take homoeopathic medicine - Schwabe’s Essentia Aurea/ thrice daily which is a cardio-tonic which helps in maintaining blood pressure, improves muscle tone of the heart and narrowing of blood vessels.

Yesterday I joined gym after 8 months. At gym I calculated pressure it showed 158/100 around 7: 40 am and I again around 2: 30 pm it showed 145/100. For a week I had taken regular meat and alcohol. Yesterday I ate Paani puri and bananas and garlic. But as I know that a person having high pressure can work normally as I am working. I am worried what is happening with me.

In ayurveda, Hypertension is referred to as Rakta Capa Vriddhi and it sees the vitiation of vata and pitta doshas as the main cause. Mix 1 teaspoon of onion juice with an equal amount of honey. Take once a day for 1 week. Upon noticing improvement, continue for several more days. Take sarpgandha vati twice a day. Yogendra ras. Akik bhasm works very good in case of hypertension. Avoid salty diet. Oily food. Lower your stress. Do pranayama early morning.

Hello dear High triglycerides and cholesterol can cause atherosclerotic heart disease or narrowed coronary arteries in the heart can cause the symptoms of angina, when theheart muscle is not provided with enough oxygen to function. Decreased blood supply to the brain may be due to narrowed small arteries in the brain or because the larger carotidarteries in the neck may become blocked. This can result in a transient ischmic attack or stroke. Peripheral artery disease describes gradual narrowing of the arteries that supply the legs. During exercise , if the legs do not get enough blood supply, they can develop pain , called claudication . Other arteries in the body may also be affected by plaque buildup causing them to narrow, including the mesenteric arteries to the intestine and the renal arteries to the kidney. Change life style .do meditation,yoga, Go walk daily, do any one physically activity daily i.e.play any game., Avoid fast foods,oily foods,junk foods,alcohol,smoking,fatty foods, non-veg.,avoid stress,take plenty of water in day time. And 1 glass of water before bed at night. use flax oil, omega-3 fatty meal or cap., take .green veg., whole grain. garlic,. Take anti cholesterol medicines .

Your husband should these simple measures to reduce cholesterol and blood sugar like exercise for atleast 1 hr a day and more if obese avoid junk and oily foods eat healthy foods like green leafy vegetables and fruits salt should be restricted to 2 to 3 gms per day. Periodically check your blood pressure and lipid profile and take drugs in consultation with local physician.

Dear lybrateuser, -your tiredness & breathlessness are due to your weight & sedentary life if you are not exercising regularly -to reduce weight eat more of fibrous foods like fruits, vegetables, beans, wholegrains, sprouts, legumes, pulses, restrict dairy products, non-veg, fried, processed & junk food -do regular exercise like brisk walking, jogging, start slowly & increase time by 10-15 min every week along with the pace, if you feel tired then take a break & again start, do mild weight lifting as it provides exercise to the heart & helps it to pump blood more efficiently into the body, do it in a gym under a trainers guidance -do deep breathing exercise & yoga 10-15 min daily in the morning -get investigations, blood cbc, for sugar, cholesterol, ecg, & consult a doctor with results. -

Dear Lybrateuser, - The normal pulse rate range is 60-100 beats / min, if your resting pulse rate is 114 then it is high - your BP is high as the systolic is above 140 mm of Hg, diastolic is high as it is above 90 mm of Hg - monitor your BP at least once a day on rising & if possible again in the evening - consult a doctor as you will require investigations -restrict salt, tea, coffee intake, avoid alcohol, smoking if you do.

Hello, Chest pain in your case may be due to 1. Acidity. 2. Severe anxiety 3. Muscular problem 4.We have to rule out cardiac cause a. You can take tablet pantocid 40 mg one tablet before food for 3 days b. Local application of volini gel 1% twice a day for 2-3 day you should go for BP check along with baseline ECG and review with report I am giving you some health tips to avoid acidity 1. Take small frequent meal kindly take 5-6 small meal in whole day 2. Take 6-8 glass of water in a day 3.Avoid stress, smoking, alcohol 4. Moderate physical activity regularly 5. Avoid excessive tea, coffee 6. Do not postpone breakfast consult physician for further management.

Apart from low fat, low sugar diet, excercise is good for reducing cholestrol levels. But taking muscle suppliments are not advisable, you should consult dietician for appropiate diet for you, keeping high uric acid and cholestrol in mind. Drink plenty of water.
