Give him bryonia 30 - thrice daily for next 3-4 days. Also give him to drink plenty of warm fluids. Drinking warm fluids helps to loosen the secretions in your sinuses so that your mucus flows more freely, making you feel better faster. Studies show that drinking warm fluids relieves cold symptoms such as runny nose, cough, sneezing, sore throat, and fatigue.

Summer - Are Eggs The Right Breakfast Choice?

M.Sc - Dietitics / Nutrition, P.G. Diploma in Nutrition and Dietetics, B.Sc. Home Science

Summer - Are Eggs The Right Breakfast Choice?

It is often believed that eggs tend to heat up your stomach and, hence, should be avoided as much as possible. People believe that eating eggs during the hot summer months can lead to detrimental health effects. One of the reasons attributed to this belief is that eggs contain copious amounts of cholesterol, which can generate tremendous amounts of body heat.
However, contrary to popular belief, eggs do not heat up your system and perfectly safe for consumption during the season of some summer.
Having eggs for breakfast helps you with the following:
1. Cholesterol Factor - To be precise, a single egg provides 212 mg of cholesterol out of the recommended 300 mg. However, cholesterol in your diet does not raise the cholesterol levels in your blood. This happens because the liver produces a high quantity of cholesterol each day, and when you eat more eggs causing your cholesterol levels to rise, the liver starts producing less of it. In fact, a study found that eggs didn't raise cholesterol in 70% of its test subjects.
2. Provides Choline - Choline is a substance, which is required by the body to build cell membranes and to perform a horde of other functions like liver function, brain development, nerve, and muscle function. Lack of choline could lead to disruption of these functions. Whole eggs contain more than 100 mg of this less known nutrient, and therefore, should be a part of your diet.
3. Contains Lutein and Zeaxanthin - One of the gradual symptoms of aging is worsening eyesight. There are many types of nutrients that help in countering this degenerative process. Two such nutrients are lutein and zeaxanthin, which eggs are rich in. These two antioxidants help to build up the retina of the eye. Moreover, they also help in preventing eyesight conditions like cataracts and macular degeneration. Eggs are also rich in Vitamin A, the lack of which is the most common cause of blindness worldwide.
4. Reduces Risk of StrokeFor many decades, eggs have been unfairly criticized. A popular misbelief was that high cholesterol in eggs made them a cause for cardiac problems. In a review, which accounted for 17 studies and a total of 263,938 participants, no associations were found between eggs and heart diseases. Eggs are also highly filling and help to lose weight to a certain extent. If you wish to discuss about any specific problem, you can consult a Dietitian/Nutritionist.

I am getting problem in breathing because of cold and cough. I have consulted the doctor he has told that.in my nose ...
Cold and cough, nasal block can initially be treated by anti allergic tablets, common cough syrup and nasal decongestant drops. Nose skin increase probably means a minor nasal defect called Deviated Nasal Septum for which you may have to see ENT specialist for proper direct examination, diagnosis and further management with medication or minor surgery.

Exercise:
No matter how often you eat right, how many hours of sleep you get and whether or not you count calories, until and unless your exercise daily you'll never be able to have a totally healthy lifestyle.

Frequency:
The first step towards a long term healthy lifestyle is frequency. It takes 21 days to form a habit, after that it seems just natural. You need to be frequent and consistent to attain such long term goals.

Green tea:
It helps boost the metabolic rate, reduce the belly fat and can lower the risk of various diseases. Try to drink at least 3-5 cups of green tea every day. Plus its 0 calories, so what's the harm?

Home food:
This one's the best way to eat healthy and avoid junk food. By cooking at home you know exactly what you're eating and you're well aware of what nutrients go into your mouth. Plus it's the easiest way to maintain a balanced diet (since the balance is in your hands now)!

Inspiration:
You need inspiration to maintain long term success. It could be from apparent weight loss, from reading a book about healthy living or even by watching someone maintain a healthy lifestyle. This can't be done by mindlessly following some diet!

Jealousy:
Sometimes envying others might help you get the best results. When you envy someone for their clean eating habits or perfect body, you will probably want to achieve that yourself - which will be your biggest motivator for long term success.

Kick-start:
You will literally wake up one day and decide you want to start living a healthy lifestyle! it's time to kick start everyday towards making these healthy changes.

Losing weight safely:
Who doesn't want to shed 5 kgs in a month? but you can't do this by starving yourself or going on a detox where you just eat fruits and drink water! that's totally unhealthy. It is essential to let your weight loss journey take its time, so that you have long lasting results.

Mental health:
Mental and physical health goes hand in hand. It is important that you focus on strengthening your mind as well, not only you body. Falls in metal health will eventually affect your physical health as well!

Nutrients:
From carbs to protein to minerals, each and every nutrient is essential for maintaining a healthy diet as well as to perform normal bodily functions. Eating everything in the right proportion will promote a long lasting healthy lifestyle.

Observation:
Observe what changes you are making, divide them into healthy and unhealthy changes and then continue with only the healthy changes. Your observation skills will help you get rid of the unnecessary and unhealthy changes instantly.

Promise:
You need to promise yourself you're going to stick to this new lifestyle no matter how hard it gets! promise yourself to eat healthier every day, to exercise a little more everyday and definitely promise yourself to stay away from the unhealthy goodies!

Quitting:
It's important to quit the bad habits! binge drinking, smoking, stress eating and all these others habits aren't going to help you maintain a healthy lifestyle.

Raw foods:
Raw foods are the best form of food you can get! they help prevent diseases, give your body a lot of energy and contain essential vitamins and minerals.

Sleep:
Sleeping for 6-8 hours every night is a requirement for proper body function! it's the time your body needs to recuperate, repair your muscles and even improves your mood. Exercise and good eating are useless without sufficient sleep.

Tips:
Tips like these will really help and motivate your to manage a long term successful healthy lifestyle. Take tips from experts, from dietitians and even from people you look up to for inspiration you never know which trip does the trick.

Understanding:
You need to understand what your body needs, how much weight you need to gain/lose to be fit (not skinny, not thin- but fit) and how often you should exercise. It is important to understand nutritional facts on packaged items and what goes into your body. Understanding is essential for better results!

Veggies:
Yes lean protein and meats are important, but you can't have a balanced diet unless you're eating enough green leafy vegetables. Incorporate them in every meal!

Weight:
Weight cannot be defined as per your weighing scale or bmi. Your focus cannot be how can I lose weight you need to focus on how you can continue with your healthy lifestyle.

Xtreme activities:
Go for extreme activity classes like zumba, cross fit, army circuit training, power yoga and other such high intensity activities! it's a good change from your usual workout and will probably have more effective results.

Yoga:
From increased flexibility to increased strength, from meditating to improving bone health; yoga has all round benefits which are only going to improve your lifestyle.

Zero dieting policy:
You cannot diet (and I mean not eating at all) to lose weight and look thin. Starving and minimal eating doesn't help you to maintain a long term healthy lifestyle. Your diet must be full of rich foods.

Sleep is the best reliever of all stress and physical pain. Not only is it important to get sleep, but also to sleep soundly and without any disturbance. The quality matters. Here are a few tips to get better sleep: 1.It is important to maintain the same sleep schedule every single day. This helps to naturalize your body clock and get the best quality sleep. 2.Switch off all mobile phones, laptops and other electronic devices. Their artificial glow not only hampers your eyesight, but also prolongs the amount of time your body takes to relax and fall off to sleep. 3.If your back pain causes you to continually wake up in the middle of the night in discomfort, then sleep with a pillow or cushion between your legs so as to straighten out your back and relieve pent up stress. 4.The importance of your pillow can never be stressed upon enough. Your pillow should be not too fat, hard or soft. It should just about support the natural curve of your neck, so that it is perfectly aligned with the centre of your body. Correct sleeping postures are extremely important. 5.Make sure your room is nice and dark so as to stimulate the secretion of a hormone called melatonin that is regulated by light exposure. Darker the room, greater melatonin, making you more sleepy. 6.Those who exercise regularly and well are known to be fitful sleepers. Exercise well before bedtime. If required, do some light yoga or stretching exercises that promote sleep. 7.What you eat throughout the day makes a difference to the quality of your sleep. Stay away from too much caffeine, alcohol, or a heavy meal just before sleeping. They only make you stay awake for longer and may cause heartburn or stomach trouble. Don't drink too much water, or else you will be making more midnight trips to the bathroom than clocking those sleep hours. 8.Try to keep your head clear of all worries and stress when in bed. Regular meditation and deep breathing can help. There is no end to all the things you can do to sleep well and comfortably. It is important to be self-disciplined to sleep well and hence be a healthy individual. Resting at night plays an important role in regulating your daily health and your level of energy throughout a day. Also, not only the quantity but the quality of sleep is also important for a healthy lifestyle. Bedtime habits do play a vital role in shaping up your lifestyle and personality as a whole. Here are many lifestyle habits that can help you to get sound sleep. Excess sleep can be due to anaemia, Hypothyroidism or general weakness and a blood test is needed and you may contact me personally by Lybrate site for further advice 1.Make regular and a fixed sleep pattern: Going to sleep and waking up the same time every day helps to maintain an equilibrium in the sleep-wake cycle called diurnal rhythm. If this balance is maintained, then your body will be accustomed to this pattern and as a result, you will feel less tired and fresh throughout the day 2. Maintain a definite dietary regulation: You should also maintain a proper diet plan and observe the consequences/effects of the foods that you are eating and the fluids that you are drinking on your sleep pattern. Taking a good and properly nutritious diet on a daily basis will help you to stay healthy and help your natural sleep-wake cycle.

Relationship And Sex Life

There are many anonymous queries to Clinical Psychologists which are just worries and night mares about sexual functioning and satisfaction and mostly by unmarried men. This is mainly because of the secrecy being run in families and educational setups and not being discussed openly in a matured manner. It is shared through media and gossips so that either vulgarized or looked down about a normal body mind functioning which make all living things exist, enjoy and survive.

Sex is a good catalyst in man woman relationship which make it strong, warm and intimate. Sexual behavior is being misunderstood as something wrong or threatening or forbidden. Sexual feeling, thought and behavior are not exactly related to doing sex or being physically involved in carrying some bodily actions by two people.

Sexual behavior is a kind of behavior from inside and through expressions and many times not knowingly or intentionally  but being transmitted between two persons in a permissive, warm and mutually caring atmosphere.

There should not be fear, feeling of threat, shame or lack of mutual consent.

Why failure of performance or satisfaction??

Undue apprehension about partners acceptance ,fear of rejection which in turn related to poor understanding about the normal process of sexual functioning and doubts about ones organs .

Regarding women their role is being neglected or not understood by her partner. Many surveys show that female satisfaction is less considered or not considered by male partners. Many times females don’t take initiative or take active roles even if they are in need because of the fear of being misunderstood in Indian culture. Psychological blocks apprehensions create problems in normal sexual life .These can be attained with the help of trained Clinical Psychologist if not able to overcome by oneself.

Ina nutshell it is caring, sharing and the quality of relationship which makes a relationship success with sexual satisfaction and completeness. Not the size and shape of organs or muscle power. Thank you.
